All around, the resort was nice. The service was great and the resort was clean! I only gave 4 stars because the bed was very hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows were lumpy.

Great staff!!! Everywhere is sooooo clean!!
No reservations needed for meals which is a big plus!!
Piano bar is nice and having evening entertainment.
Not many cons? Just wish they had paddle boards to use and more washrooms close to ocean and pools, lots of people don’t bother to make the trek!
Nice renovated rooms, small but nice!

We were very impressed by all aspects of this resort. The food was the best we've had at an all inclusive, staff was amazing and the facilities were beautiful. The only thing that I would critique was how noisy it gets in the lounge and indoor gathering spaces. Maybe something to soften it up a bit so it doesn't hurt the ears.

From the minute you walk in you feel welcomed. The staff is absolutely amazing, friendly and they make your stay that much more enjoyable. The resort is very big but never felt crowded. Beautiful place and the private beach access was a plus

The Riu Palace was a wonderful place to stay. Boyfriend and I enjoyed the pools, the bars and the food. The buffet was probably our favourite place to eat on the resort with lots of options. The beach was amazing, white sand, ocean was warm and crystal blue. The service was impressive, people were overly kind and respectful. They cleaned your room each day and they even went the extra mile to leave a little handmade towel sculpture each time.
The only couple downfalls to this resort was the beds were very hard and uncomfortable; the hot tub / spa closes at 5 pm everyday.

It is a beautiful resort. However, I found my room to be noisy at night. It was on the 3rd floor (top floor) close to the lobby area. I could hear guests cheer while they were watching games at the 24 hr lounge and my room may have been next to a mechanical room since it felt like I was sleeping next to a washer/dryer. I was really glad to be staying for one night only. I called the lobby but they were not helpful. Otherwise, beautiful resort and food was great.

Excellent staff, service and food at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. A great resort for couples, groups or families. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We like to tip good service and did so here but I believe even if we did not tip, the service would have still remained the same. The entertainment team was very nice, not too “pushy” One of the better resorts we have stayed at. Highly recommended.
