Location convenient for tourism… if you succeed in finding the hotel (they should provide pick-up but my messages sent before arrival remained unanswered).
Bedroom was smaller than indicated on the website.
Beautiful old building in the ancient city (dark by night, no public lighting in the streets except if some shop is open)
Comfort is minimal but acceptable and the place is very quiet.

If you come to Pingyao, I recommend Dacheng Guild Hall. The environment is good. It’s suitable for taking photos and feels great. It’s worth recommending! The boss is warm and thoughtful. Patiently explain the recommended tour routes. Several gourmet restaurants were recommended and they were all very good. Especially Kang Gan Ji is delicious😋

We liked the hotel, it was very nice and they let us leave our luggage there while we visited the city. The bed had a very thin mattress and for us it was quite hard. At night it was cold (we came in March). Getting to the hotel was a bit complicated because you have to get off the main streets and it was only signposted in Chinese.
