Tenuta Santo Pietro

Room smelled like cleaning aerosol which gave my wife a headache. We had to leave the windows open to air it out. Upon arrival the AC was turned off and it was hot + the smell didn’t help. Positives- softest bed ever. Good view to pienza. Kitchen and cleaning help were very nice and helpful. Room size was great (floors are pavers for those w little ones) Negatives- pool is deep no shallow section for kids to play in. A lot of mosquitoes. Breakfast was below avg at best. shower tub isn’t ideal. Tv was 22’ maybe smaller. My wife booked this after hearing good reviews - I will say we did go w a toddler so traveling was a bit different.
Hotel Corsignano

Great choice for touring Val D'Orcia. Stayed two nights here in April. This was our third visit to Pienza but our first overnight stay. Picked the Corsignano primarily because it offered free on-site parking and was only a short walk to the the old walled town. Delighted with our choice. It ticked all of the boxes. Friendly reception, nice (very) clean room with terrace, comfortable bed, great shower, good breakfast, short walk to the beautiful old city and great restaurants. Free on-site parking was actually quite limited and was full when we arrived. The receptionist moved her own car to free up a space for us. No problem the second evening. The receptionist did inform us that due to government requirements for energy conservation we would need to call the desk to turn on the heat if we wanted it. We encountered this in other hotels also. We were very comfortable without it. Pienza is the ideal location for touring and enjoying the Val D'Orcia and the most beautiful areas of Tuscany. The views approaching Pienza from the south in the evening are stunning and unforgetable and the views from the Belvedere behind the Duomo are pure magic. The iconic winding cypress roadway at La Foce and the tiny Capella Vitaleta are just a short drive away - (the Capella is now open to the public down a 15 minute walk) Everywhere you look is a painting. Pure magic!!

Relais Il Chiostro di Pienza

Structure in the historic centre of Pienza, from an old monastery, service and top-top reception, should only be equipped with some rooms with a 4-star accessory (kit courtesy, But for the rest, it is a nice place. The swimming pool with a wonderful view, a restaurant with customer service and care at the highest levels (good to all the boys and the owner) even if used for a dish, a fantastic breakfast with so many local products. To return absolutely.

Absolutely spectacular! We were only going to be in the Tuscan countryside for 3 days and we were trying to decide whether to stay in Siena (a city) or Pienza (a small town). I found this place on *********** so we decided to give the small town a shot. We are so beyond happy we made this decision. Pienza itself is very tiny and cute and you cannot drive through the town. The farmhouse is located about 1.5 miles outside of town so you can drive to it as it is set off a little road with a STUNNING view! We only booked a room and a bathroom, but the also have packages where you can book a kitchen. Very cute accommodations with comfortable bed. The owner Francesco was very friendly and extremely helpful, giving us tips on places to check out in town ( I recommend Sette di Vino for dinner). They also make their own oil and wine, both of which are spectacular! Additionally, the owner set us up with a wine tour. Lastly, the breakfast was wonderful and very fresh.
Vento D’Orcia

We stayed for 5 wonderful nights. We absolutely loved it. The highlights are: - a really lovely large modern bedroom with all the comforts and amenities needed. We had lots of space for clothes, a kettle, tea, a little fridge. The bed / pillows were super comfy and the shower / bath very good too and some toiletries provided. - we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Breakfast was freshly made and delicious. I especially loved the choice of eggs and the coffee. We stayed for dinner twice- again a delicious and filling affair! -it’s a convenient base to explore the area- and we visited Pienza and the other surrounding towns. We also did several hikes not too far away. You will need a car. - we have to mention our host Ana who is lovely, friendly and welcoming and made our stay extra special. - finally it was nice to have the cats around- they were very cute !
