The Grand Riverside Hotel Reviews

My girlfriend and myself spent a couple of nights in this hotel. The location is conveniently close to the center of Phitsanulok, and, perhaps more importantly, on the bank of the river where many nice places for food and drinks are located. The hotel is nice and reasonably modern. The room was what you can expect from an upper class hotel, although the bed scores extra points for comfort. Staff was more than friendly and helpful: they certainly made the hotel in a warm and welcoming way a home away from home. Especially the senior staff manager, sorry that I could not read your name from the badge (my eyes are not as good as they used to be) He could easily have delegated some of the tasks to the more junior staff, but insisted that he personally brought us our coffees and juices on the second morning. Because of Songkran, we did not feel much for going out on the streets (again) after cleaning up in the evening, so we visited the on-site Thai restaurant. Excellent Thai food, and a reasonably good Chardonnay to go with it. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

it was ok to stay here, the location is really good in town of Phitsanulok city. 7/11 and coffee shop thatyou can walk to.

Good, clean hotel. Reserved 4 rooms. The air conditioner was broken in 1 room. There were a lot of mosquitoes. They were bitten by mosquitoes all night.

The price was worth more than a star!

The reception staff provided poor service. There was only one check-in officer. The room arrangement did not match what was requested. Went down to notify and had to wait to check in again. When reporting the problem, they were told the room was correct and had to ask again and advised to go look at the room. The employee cursed. "Who organized the room?" There was no apology. In conclusion, the problem lies with the reception staff, who do not have service mind. As for the accommodation, it is good, clean, and the housekeeping is good.

Great location by the river for temples and many local shops and restaurants. Night market only 5 minutes walk away. Good breakfast buffet offering Thai and weren’t meals. We had a standard double bed room with plenty of space and working air con. Plenty of free parking.

It was a pleasant 2-night stay during a weekdays visit to Phitsanulok. I had a room on the highest floor and farthest from elevators possible as requested--bonus points to the hotel! Phitsanulok on weekdays is quite a small and lonely town, so by the same token, the vibe when staying at a local upscale hotel was like a quiet rest and retreat to me. As it is in a prime location of the city--within a mile from the train station where vibrant shops and restaurants are--I enjoyed strolling along the vicinity to see if there were some nice local places to eat in, and, to my surprise, there were a lot! Back to the hotel. The room was clean, the air conditioner was so powerful that, even if you adjusted the temperature, it wouldn't rise up practically and physically. However, I loved the bathroom and its layout; the shower floor on a slope was a cool idea to help drainage. The bathroom amenities were also nice--those green shower gel and orange-brownish shampoo tubes you've probably seen elsewhere in hotels of this category. The water pressure was OK, but not that hot. Breakfast wasn't that satisfactory, as there were only few choices of Thai side dishes along with an egg-station and bakery. I didn't find it painful though because, as mentioned above, the Phitsanulok city has cheap and good food waiting out there. Staff are also nice and friendly. By the accent I realized that many of them are from neighboring land, but they did effectively communicate with familiar and professional manners. Nice jobs! Overall, it was a really good stay. The only drawback was just the breakfast. Chances are it may come full-fledged in weekends or when in high occupancy.
