Sonder the Frankford

Very cumbersome reservation process. DO NOT LIST A GUEST ON YOUR ******* RESERVATION - this results in a nightmare to untangle. There is no direct number to the hotel - only a number to a call center. While the space is ample, there's not enough seating for the maximum number of people in the dining area or living room. No local TV, or cable - only Chromecast, which is not revealed in the hotel's amenities. Once you get to the hotel, their "24/7 service" is available by text - good luck if you have any emergent needs as no one is on site. If you report an issue, they have 24 hours to respond to it, so service is NOT available 24/7 as advertised.

My stay was quiet and relaxing. I wish that they had a television in bedroom and water pressure was low in bathroom is the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars

The apartment was cute and a good size for three people for the weekend. I did have issue getting into my unit when I arrived but customer service was quick and very helpful. They even changed my room code when I requested. Only sticking point was the lighting in the bedrooms and bathroom was pretty dim so it made getting ready tough (mostly makeup). But overall great stay!

Was unable to actually check-in due to no front desk /permanently online system. Their automated system was unable to let me take a selfie to match with my ID. Customer service was woefully unhelpful -- ended up having to book new hotel for same day accommodation.

This could have been so nice but the condition of the unit is poor. On arrival the heating did not work and it took until the next to have it “repaired “. When it worked it was very noisy because the fan has no variable speed and is full noisy on or off. But a day later it luckily broke down again giving us peace and quiet. Luckily the manager who was very nice brought some electric heaters. However, the metro runs above ground here and start at 6 am. Making up for the HVAC unit. The roller blind in the living room did not work because the mechanism was completely worn down. One side of the towel rack came out of the wall. The kitchen has just a few utensils. There was no corkscrew. One corner of the couch sagged. We used a pillow on top to be able to sit less uncomfortably. The key lock to the apartment requires a certain speed. If you go to slow, it does not unlock. Neither if you go to fast. It needs to be just right. Some times I was just about ready to kick it in. The key lock to the apartment building works perfectly. All in all a frustrating experience. The staff is not the problem. The company chose the cheapest option for everything and clearly skimps on necessary maintenance as well. I am convinced that better quality would have saved money in the long run with happier customers. This is a good concept which could have been nice if it wasn’t so poorly executed.

It's an amazing space; however, some time should be taken to check the status of certain apartment items. For me, the bed seemed to be sunken in at the head (I think maybe it cracked or something). I also went to open a window using the crank, which fell off--same with the freezer handle. Again, it's a great space and I was very comfortable (definitely got my sleep in), but there are things that be improved.

This was fraud. The decryption of the property is fraud. I requested to not be charged. I immediately had to find a new place to stay. Don’t trust ******* or Sonder they committed fraud and I am taking action do not charge my credit card. They want you to go to another site to hold you luggage prior to check in. They should just state it’s an air bomb not a hotel. Fraud, fraud, fraud.

Fun trip in Fishtown. The Sonder put us in the middle of it all and gave us the perfect place to recharge.

This was my first time experiencing a concierge-less stay. Not having any drinking water provided, not being able to leave my luggage at the venue, not being able to check in early for no reason other than “just because” was enough for me to not stay here again. The concept might work for people who are staying for leisure but for people traveling for business, this is very inconvenient. Also, when I reached out to the Sonder chat, it seemed like I was bothering whomever I was messaging with. Every time I reached out, they would tell me that I can just use the app and I didn’t need to chat with them however I did need to utilize the chat feature because the issues/concerns I had couldn’t be resolved in the App.
