Golden Mare - All Inclusive

The hotel was clean and staff extremely friendly. The main hotel bedrooms were very noisy which meant you could hear talking in bedrooms 2 doors down opposite to you. I checked one night twice our patio door was not open as I could hear our neighbours on the balcony next to us extremely clearly which kept me a walk to the early hours. The food was extremely average with a lot of the main dishes repeated each lunch and evening meal. Salad bar was limited with a choice of 5 dishes and that included grated carrot and a bowl of lettuce. Drinks were good however the coffee machine did not produce good coffee. The entertainment was excellent at night. The roof top bar which is stunning is not open till 7pm and is not included in your all inclusive stay which was disappointing. The location is perfect with stunning views along with many cafes and bars dotted along the coastal road in 5 mins walking distance. It takes 30 minutes by taxi or private hire - we took private hire to old town Corfu ( highly recommend All Corfu private hire who were fantastic and even took us to a great location on our way back to hotel for a photo view opportunity)

Fantastic two week stay at the Golden Mare, staff cannot do enough for you and go above and beyond to make your stay the best, Elena and Katerina on Reception greet you with a smile from the start and if you need any information on buses to get around the island they are your girls. Hotel: Very clean throughout, rooms comfortable with very good beds, bathroom slightly dated but you gloss over that as they are so clean, housekeeping very thorough and if anything is needed just ask and they will supply. Pool Area: The view is outstanding, whole area cleaned everyday, pool is a nice depth and there is also an attached shallow children’s pool, we had no problem getting a sunbed, there are no parasols but there are two shaded areas, the bar is situated at the side of the pool and Nefeli and Aggeliki will look after your drink requests. There is also entertainment most evenings beside the pool from Greek night to local singers. Food: Self service restaurant, however if you need assistance Katia and Kostas the waiting staff will help with anything, good variety of food and we had a vegetarian with us who found plenty they could eat, Greek and English dishes at lunchtime and dinner, with a good salad and sweet bar, lots of choices for breakfast from cooked to continental and of course Greek yogurt with fresh or dried fruit, as we were there for a fortnight it can be a little repetitive- but you will definitely not go hungry - if you are a coffee lover then take some with you or buy on day one as that was the only real let down as it is a machine and not the best. We will definitely return and would highly recommend, thank you to all the staff for being such fun and so welcoming.

Melissa S. Great hotel to stay in for a couple. Staff were brilliant and super friendly throughout our entire stay. Daniel and Kostas, the drivers, were amazing and always there to help. The room was beautiful and clean when we checked in and every day after that. The ladies at the front Helena,Evi and Katerina always there for any assistance we needed and smiling all the time. Thank you ladies! 😊 You should definitely try the roof Bar such a beautiful view and great drinks 🍹 Would definitely return in the future!Thank you 😊

We just spent eleven nights at this resort, and we had a lovely time. The rooms are cleaned every day, nice big walk in shower in the bathroom. We were worried about food as we read a few reviews that weren't great, and my husband is a fussy eater, but the food was great. Plenty to choose from and always fresh and hot. Staff were great and always happy to serve you and look after you The only down side was the steep hill that the hotel is on. Fine if you are happy to stay in the hotel. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. Amazing views from the hotel. We gad a side sea view which was lovely and great views of the mountains behind. Quite a small hotel, but very nice if you are looking for a relaxing break. Entertainment at night usually someone singing or greek dancing. Thankyou for a great stay.

We are currently staying here until Thursday we’re having amazing time. Hotel really nice, food lovely and staff are very friendly and helpful. I treated myself to anti-stress massage earlier today it was incredible, felt so relaxed thank you Maria! We definitely be back again!

We had a great holidays,here,in, golden mare with my family,for us was my first time to visit Corfu,and enjoy all my holidays,when we alive we need in the reception Elena, and,the assistant from office manager Mario.the food was delicious and also the fresh saas and dessert,and like housekeeping lady because she put every time nice flowers in the bed, thanks very much, for staying at the hotel,see you soon

Staff are friendly beautiful spar for my first massage loads of choice in what to have would 100 percent recommend very relaxed ready for the day beaver felt so loose a big thank you to Maria for the massage was amazing and thank you spiridoyla for a worm welcome when booking

I want to thank everyone at Golden Mare they were all very kind and helpful. The ladies at the front help us a lot and informed us for everything we need to know. Especially we want to thank Evi for helping us for renting a car in such a short notice. And Mario the front assistant manager such a funny guy always talking to us and everyone😄 The facilities were all very nice,first the main Restaurant we had many options about the food and they were good almost every day. Also the girls at the lobby bar and Roof Bar were so nice,always smiling and their drinks 👌👌👌 We had a problem with our shower but Daniel the maintenance came right away and fixed it thank you D. Keep up the hard work 💪

Had a great time at this hotel but….. The bar staff really make this place, could not thank them enough for providing entertainment for us all especially on Wednesday 15th, they went above and beyond, I’m sure everyone there had an amazing time! Would like if there was more entertainment throughout the day & night but the dancers on the 15th were amazing, they got everyone up & joining in. Would prefer if there was more variety of food aswell but it could be that we are just very fussy. The WIFI isn’t very good at all unless you’re staying within the hotel. There isn’t much around apart from restaurants so I would recommend hiring a car/ quad to get places.
