Absolutely lovely hotel, rooms clean everyday, fresh bedding, comfy bed, close to the beautiful beach, restaurants, pubs with local Belgian beers. Very tasty breakfast, very nice people and service. Not a bad word to say. 100% recommended.

Highly recommended. Clean, cozy hotel with spacious rooms. Very attentive and friendly staff. Varied and large buffet. Perfect location, walking distance to the main points of interest. We definitely want to return to this hotel.

An excellent 4 star hotel in the centre of Oostende close to the beach (klein strand) and Wfest. The owners and staff and very helpful and take pride in their work. The rooms are very well appointed and the breakfast is extensive. I will be here again for Wfest 2024.

Beautiful newly renovated hotel on the road which runs parallel to the beautiful sandy beach. From check in to breakfast to check out the staff were all very professional and friendly. The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable with top quality bed linen and a super strong shower and a large flat screen tv. The buffet breakfast at 20 euros extra includes a hot and cold buffet plus bubbles. The air conditioning was very welcome as we stayed during a heatwave.

Excellent boutique hotel, can’t say enough about the extremely friendly staff. Check in was easy, rooms were clean and well appointed. The breakfast buffet was over the top. We were told the hotel recently went under a renovation and under new management. They are definitely doing a great job. 5 stars

Hotel cocoon is a badly renovated hotel. The beds are not good at all, the metal shelves for holding the towels in the bathroom are falling off and the rooms are not well isolated. You can hear everything and everyone. The view from the room (see picture) is not nice at all. I will not come back to hotel Cocoon in Oostende.

Charming. Good sleep, good staff, good price. One block from the beach. Get the breakfast, @ 20EUR it is a delicious bargain. I don't know why Ostende is not more of a destination, what a great seaside city.

We stayed here for 4 days and unfortunately it just felt like the list of issues didnt stop. When we arrived we were welcomed by a severe smell of sewer on the floor of our room. It appeared to be comming from the air conditioning system and did not affect the rooms itself, but only the hallway. We reported it to the reception and it got better next da, but didnt disappear. Next day the water pipes at the hotel got a leak or something like that, so water was gone from the hotel for multiple hours - without informing the guests. I understand it was an incident, but I believe it could have been handled smoother. Day 3, then the severe sewer smell on the floor of our room was back. It didnt disappear again and was present the rest of our stay. So all in all. Just not that pleasant an experience. Rooms itself are nice, service in the reception very good and the location is very nice with walking distance to promenade, restaurants and shopping. TIP: Find a parking spot near Maria Hendrika Park. It is free, instead of the expensive fees close to the beach (around 25-30€ a night).

The hotel was 100 meter from the festival area. Oostende is a concrete city with grey uggly flats there are almost no trees. The hotel is nice . Rooms excellent - shower is ok could have some more water :-). Breakfast is just excellent...
