Although it is a standard plan, the quality and quantity are excellent, and the steamed abalone is exquisite and the deliciousness of the sashimi is exceptional! As expected, it is the Seto Inland Sea. The staff is working hard for young people, but I liked the appearance of the man in the room who was polite and hard to serve customers from abroad. Breakfast used to be a buffet style, but now it is compatible with corona infection. Probably, it was very good for us because it is a Japanese set meal and I am not good at buffet. It's nice to have coffee after a meal. I was worried that the price was higher than when I first saw this hotel, but when I came, I was convinced that it was a good hotel. However, there is only one ... On the way back from the Shinkansen, when I noticed that I had forgotten the clothes I was wearing when I arrived at the inn, I called and said that I had nothing left behind ...? ?? I changed into a different top in the morning I forgot the clothes I wore the day before and left them on the hanger, so I have no place to forget other than the hotel ... Of course I forget this is worse, so be careful! I thought, but I was a little shocked to be told that I wouldn't even leave my forgotten hair clip or tea bottle at another inn (tears). It should be called Daguangyuan Hotel instead of Carrot Hotel. The hotel is large and well-equipped. It has a large bathhouse. I went there late that day and didn't take a shower, but the facilities were great. The room was clean and tidy, and I really liked the Japanese-style stay. Takehara City is a great place and I might like it more if I watch the anime Tamaki. I like the hotel to last for a long time.

Ok, this one is difficult to rate. The room comes with a magnificient view on the sea. That's what made me chose that place. But it is remote. So, if you have no car, except walking a good 2km from the train station along a road. There is nothing to eat there. It is a stop/sleep/leave concept of hotel. Once again, if you have no car... you won't walk back the 2km to find something to eat. You sleep on the floor. No surprise here and I slept particularly well so, no complains. Just be aware of that. Toilets, bath, all is shared. Room are old but all ok and one of the biggest space I got during this trip. Furnitures are also old. You may feel like you are staying at grandma place for a while. The building, from the 70's probably, is not sound proof. You may enjoy your neighbor sleep. As I did. I did book for 2. Probably because Trip was not proposing other option or because it was the cheapest one, not sure. The lady at the entrance kept me waiting for 15mn for that reason showing that she was embarrassed to give me the keys for that already paid room. This moment was uncomfortable to say the least. The remote part, the furnitures style, the oldish atmosphere, the old room door still requiring a key and that squeak a little bit... may not please everyone. It comes with its sweet creepy feeling. Not an hotel for everyone. But damn, the view in the morning... splendid.

The hotel's reception area and bar are quite modern with some cute Japanese décor and homewares on shelves. There is also a complimentary 'amenity buffet' so you can pick up some extra soaps, shampoos, bath salts, etc. any time you need them. We had a wa****su (traditional Japanese tatami room) on the 3rd floor that was moderate in size but very clean and looks to have had a recent renovation as the bathroom was very new and modern. Imabari's main shopping street is just a 2 minute walk away with some nice coffee shops and homeware stores. There are also two Poeme stores very closeby where you can buy Imabari's local sweet treat which are perfect with coffee and also as a boxed gift idea too! The nearest convenience store (a Family Mart) is about a 5 minute walk away and Imabari Castle is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel's front entrance and makes for an interesting afternoon and has an excellent 360 degree view from the top. The hotel has bicycles that you can rent for free, however the seats were very uncomfortable and even a little painful (though it might just be me, as I haven't ridden a bicycle in quite a few years and am a big heavy Australian bloke!) Our futons were very comfortable and we had a great nights' sleep and felt very refreshed in the morning. Unfortunately we made the decision to go to the Imabari Kokusai Hotel for breakfast instead of having breakfast at Hotel Kikusui Imabari and we had quite possibly the worst buffet breakfast there. Really regret we didn't just stay and have breakfast in-house, as the food at Kikusui looked to have been far better and at a fraction of the price too! Couldn't fault this hotel and will absolutely stay again on my next visit to my old hometown of Imabari!

There seemed to be a bus from Shin-Onomichi, but I took a taxi and arrived at the hotel in about 15 minutes. Take the elevator from the road and there is a reception on the 2nd floor. The room was very large and had a good water view. The JR station, restaurant, small shopping building, etc. were also nearby and it was in a good location. Anyway, it was cold so I used the hotel Italian for dinner. It was my first time with lemon-flavored carbonara, but it was delicious. I was impressed that the friendly staff who served in Italian the night before at the breakfast restaurant the next day said that thank you for using the restaurant last night.

Arrived on the final flight of Hiroshima Airport and headed for a car rental. There are also seven eleven on the way. The road is a bit difficult to understand, but it arrives from the airport in １０ minutes. The parking lot is also convenient because it is in front of the hotel. I chose a king size bed, so the bed is large and the room is large and comfortable. There is also a feeling of cleanliness and comfort. It seems that the humidifier was prepared in the order of the early ones, but it was late, so there was only a small one. The public bath was an open-air bath and the bathtub was large and slow, so it was a rental. There was a rest place and there were comics and magazines. It seems to be fun even if you arrive early.

The corridor was messy from the time I checked in, but why was it so messy until check-out? Used towels are falling in the corridor. I felt sick just to go through it and smoke. Some people have good reviews, but is it really the same hotel? What kind of security management is it, such as being able to issue a room key with already users, and issuing a card key more than the number of guests staying, rather than double booking?
