Very nice hotel, because I have to pass by, I have lived several times. Affordable, convenient transportation, the room is quiet and tidy. Breakfast is simple, but it is guaranteed to be full.

We were on our way to New York from Wisconsin and stopped here for the night with our two teens. The parking lot was very well lit and we felt comfortable leaving our full car in front of the hotel. Tabatha checked us in - she was kind and efficient. We used our points for the room at only 12,500- not too bad at all. The room was very clean, good sized, well stocked and extremely quiet. The beds were comfortable, linens clean and soft and the bathroom was well appointed. The only issue was the thermostat did not work as we wanted the fan on for white noise. The room was warm enough and we were very tired so we just went to sleep. We did tell the employee at the desk before leaving that the thermostat was not working and more than likely needed batteries. The breakfast was very basic and the eating area was very clean. The lobby appeared clean and bright. For our needs it checked all the boxes.

Arrived in town for an over night stay as we were passing thru. With the Covid Crisis we were well aware that hotels wouldn't have certain ammenities and we were fine with that. but apparently upkeep is one of those ammenities. I knew the smoking outpost by the front door that was flooded with thousands of cigarette butts running thru the parking lot would be interesting. Check in wasn't bad, the clerk was dry and couldn't ever greet us with a ”hi” or ” hello ” so we just got a ” can i help you ”. The room smelled like a high school locker room when the door opened. One lamp had a burned out bulb and another lamp didn't even have a switch to turn it on or off. The room was as outdated as Archie Bunkers living room! There was no remote for the TV and there was a power strip with with a TV, Fridge and Coffee maker all plugged into one and just hanging off the wall. The beds were pretty decent, or we were just that tired, so we were able to get some sleep. The A/C unit I think was taken from Archie Bunkers house, hadn't seen that type in YEARS! The bathroom had spots all over the walls above the shower and the towel rack had dirt and rust all over it as well. The crevices around the tub looked like they had mold growing in them so we certainly did use that and the door frame hadn't seen paint since the building was built.. All in all it just needs some TLC. Some BADLY needed upgrades and cleaning would probably do a lot. An $80/night price-tag was insane for a place that I'm not surprised I didn't have to leave a deposit for the sheets. Drive 10 miles and stay somewhere else.
