This review is for the staff at Miramare Hotel. A big thank you to the staff at Miramare Hotel who made us feel so very welcome. Everyone was so very responsive, efficient, helpful, and fast. I would like to give special recognition and mention to the staff with whom I interacted the most. --I would like to thank especially: -Donat and Mauricio at the Hotel Restaurant Kolonada--they're awesome chaps!--so very helpful (with what to order*), attentive, and quick to respond (f ex, when my hubby asked for the check, we did not need to wait for it at all--hubby was tired and just wanted a quick bite, wash up, and then to bed); -Zaran at the Desk for being so helpful with photocopies--and making sure that everything was readable; -Zaran's colleague (who was at the Desk with Zaran June 1) who gave us the best directions to get to Old Town (so we would not get lost)--Donat also gave us the same directions (b/c we were on vacation--it was a longer, but more pleasant and lovely walk**); -To the morning staff at breakfast--I interacted the most with young girl with dark hair, the tall chap, and Mauricio. A big thank you to the breakfast crew who always did their best! Nothing was too much to ask! We will remember our stay because of the people especially Donat and Mauricio who are amazing (!), Zaran (!), and the people named above whose names I did not get. I hope that your boss*** knows that you are wonderful ambassadors for Hotel! --As it's usually the people that we/I remember most! ***On the morning of check-out, we had the privilege and honor of meeting Veljko, the owner--and we/I got the chance to tell Veljko personally of his wonderful staff! Tips/Practicals: *My hubby had the hamburger, well-done, and fries. I had a bite and the burger was so tasty--and the fries were wonderfully piping hot. We both had the seasonal soup of the day, which was spinach (I think). We enjoyed it very much. I actually looked forward to trying the beef risotto the next night (but, b/c we wanted to see the sunset--Alfred Hitchcock had said that Zadar has the most beautiful sunsets--and wanted to hear the Sea Organ, which we had not yet--we just grabbed a bite in town). I had considered both the beef risotto and Caesar salad the night before. The mom and daughter at the table next to us turned out to have ordered both. I asked them about the risotto and salad--and both said that what they ordered was very good. The daughter liked the beef risotto so much that she had it boxed. **It was about a 10-15 min walk to Old Town (--my watch stopped, needs a new battery--so being a bit touchy-feel-y about it--hubby said that it was 20 min)--passed by beach after beach, staying near road and walking among trees with sea view, etc. In the evening, the gas-lamps (?) are lit in the evening. So one feels quite safe. Close to beach--just down the street. Great location.
