We saved all year for this vacation! Over $7k dollars. We completely expected to be wowed by the Sandals experience. We stayed on the club level. It took us three days to get the robes that were supposed to be in the room. We ran out of tissues and toilet paper and just about every day we had to request towels. We asked to speak to the manager, only to be told he wasn’t on property. We never received any type of follow up calls. Nobody ever checked with us to make sure our needs were being met. Some of the staff were extremely friendly and then others made you feel like you were actually disturbing them by requesting something. We have stayed at other all-inclusives before , this was the worst! There were never enough towels at the pools, the public restrooms ran out of toilet paper, the pool was dirty, the hot tub only half of it worked. I think Sandals has a lot of work to do at this resort! The property is definitely older and could use some renovating for one the showers. The showerheads don’t work properly they’re corroded, our drain stops were pulled out and our tub on the balcony was actually dirty. One evening at dinner we ran out of water, requested more only to have our server ignore us. We ended up walking out. We were actually happy to go home feeling extremely disappointed and deflated. Think twice!!

Our incredible stay was made all that special due to the wonderful butler team we had Denise, Shaniece and Nicole. We had lots of fun with Karaoke , Name that Tune, Bingo with Kimberly, Tabitha and the entertainments team who organised series of games in a daily basis and the shows at night since our last visit in 2018 where so much better. All in all it was clear Lucky ( GM) and his management team are working as hard as possible to make our stay special - and it was P.S Soy, Butches and Bombay were our faves.

What an amazing experience! The rooms, the restaurants, the staff, the pools..... just outstanding and we couldn't have asked for better. Every single member of the team couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. From start (we were club level so no butler...didnt need one..) and from meeting Dwaine, right up to the reluctant end of our time here, our experience could honestly not have been a more positive holiday. The hotel is a little 'tired' in places but, it's super clean and extremely well kept around the gardens. The food and drinks were fantastic! We went to get married in the pretty much 'free' wedding as there were just 4 of us. The wedding team, in particular, Andrea, we're just superb. I cannot put into words what a once in a lifetime place this is and the whole package is just wonderful. We would r eturn in a heartbeat.

I would give this resort a higher rating if I could. Kamisha and Kimberly, with the entertainment staff were out of this world! So friendly and inviting. They made our entire trip even better, than we could have imagined! If you take this trip make sure you seek them out.

My husband and I just returned from celebrating our anniversary at Sandals Barbados. When we were looking for places to go, the variety of restaurants and access to both resorts was a big selling point. As we started reading negative reviews, we began to second guess our decision, but I am so glad we went and saw it for ourselves. We had the absolute best time! We were able to book a reservation at Butch’s Chophouse through the app prior to arrival. The only time they had available was at 9:15pm on the day of our arrival, but that gave us time to enjoy the pool and beach before having to get dressed up and ready for dinner after spending most of our morning traveling. We also dined at Bombays, Neptunes, American Tavern, Spices, the Mariner, Schooners, and the French restaurant - none of which required reservations and had minimal wait times. I don’t think we waited any longer than 20-25 minutes to be seated. Many reviews complain of slow service or unfriendly/unhelpful staff. I’m not sure what part of the resort they encountered these individuals because that was definitely not our experience. We spent most of our time at the Oasis pool and received amazing service from Zebe, Tashon, and Dewane. They were the dream team staff and so fun and hardworking! Marisse was there on our last day and she was equally amazing. They were so genuine and we learned so much in our short conversations about the island and culture. All the wait staff in the restaurants were attentive. There were a couple of times we had to follow up on something we had ordered, but they were dealing with a dinner rush and full tables. It was definitely not something that ruined our experience by any means. The beach was experiencing an influx of seaweed, but that is something the resort has no control over. It would be raked/cleaned in the mornings and then more would wash up but the view was still absolutely beautiful and you could walk down the beach and the seaweed was not near as bad. We also had no issues getting chairs or loungers at either the pool or beach and we were definitely NOT camping out at 6:30am. Honestly, my only complaint is that I didn’t book through a Saturday so we could enjoy Oistins! My husband and I are already talking about returning. We met amazing couples from various parts of the world and none of them seemed to have any of the complaints regarding service that I have seen. Your experience will be what you make it, I’m sure if we were looking for things to complain about, we would’ve found them but we were there to enjoy ourselves and we definitely accomplished that!

We are staying the the Sandals Royal Barbados. I wanted to leave a fantastic review for the Merry Monkey Restaurant. Mr. Jack makes this place worth coming back to. His energy and the individual attention he provides to each guest is phenomenal. He engages with each customer on a personal level. He is funny and witty. He is non stop working to seat guests, clean the tables, and guiding the young waitresses on proper work ethic.

We have stayed 12 times at various Sandals. Our last 3 stays we haven't been able to get room service, room or pool towels, pools are spalling, hot tubs cold, no entertainment, the last one had no water sports, no boats, we had to pay for a tour to snorkel, everyone's rooms were wet because of poor a/C units, you could literally squeegee the walls, the floors were so wet one person slipped and fell. Understaffed to the point the staff was rude. Moldy showers. Broken toilets. Tours from Island Routes owned by Sandals obviously are not reviewed for quality. In Jamaica we took a Safari tour for wildlife and flowers. The animals were in filthy conditions and the tour guide hit the alligators with a board so we could see how ferocious they are. I reported it to Jamaicas animal cruelty society. The mountain bike ride had beaten bikes down a beaten road. In Barbados a fish fry, with local music and handicrafts turned out to be not a safe area, picnic or whatever type of table and chair they could get, no prices menu, 1 piece of fish, rice for $75.00 for 2 people.

Where to start? My now wife and I were planning a destination wedding when we came across sandals. We had a large group of 24 people planning on attending so sandals seemed perfect. Upon arrival the people in the airport were immediately rude, cramming us into busses that shouldn't fit as many people as it did. Rushing us through customs to an airport that doesn't have air conditioning. ( its essentially 89 every day but were in the island vibe so not that big of deal ) We get to the resort winding through some tight streets and nearly scraping buildings which was a terrifying ride to say the least! Check in was fairly quick and easy, however at 4:30 PM rooms were not ready so they said go find some food and come back it will be ready by the time you eat. No biggie we were starving, we decided quick and easy go grab some pizza by the beach right? MEGA disclaimer, this resort is built around serving groups of 2-4 MAXIMUM. We had MULTIPLE instances of this, where if you asked to be seated as a group of any more than 4 the servers did 1 of 2 things. Outright refused, OR seated you all and waited on you at completely separate times. Meaning taking orders for 4 people, then putting them in, ignoring the other 4 and then coming back so you were eating nearly 30-40 min difference between the groups. Back to the pizza, it took nearly 50 min to get a 8 inch pizza not even remotely joking, I had to go back up and ask 3 times to get water ( which they are always running out of at every location nearly impossible to get. Bring water bottles and fill them in the Gyms so you don't have to rely on people who clearly hate you ) We requested everyone with the wedding number be put in the similar buildings/accomodations to what they booked. They screwed this up so bad, they placed half our group on the Royal side, other half on the regular side, People who booked swim ups got garden view rooms and on and on and on. Then they had to fight for almost 2 days to get this remedied so we could be near each other. Now the rooms, Royal side is nice well kept and new ( obviously ) The Barbados side, out of our group of 24 people, not a single one didn't have an issue with their rooms. We had 3 groups where the AC went out. When we attempted to call to have it fixed, they literally REFUSED to answer the phones. So we make the trek to the front desk. Where we are met with an apathetic response of, " I made note " that's it, no they ill get someone on it no it'll get fixed, no apology nothing. so we went all night, and into the next day at 6 pm before we had AC when its 91 outisde, and don't forget every bar/place has no water for you either. Our neighboring friends had Mold in the shower, Their bathroom door literally fell off and caved in the wall. The list goes on Getting people to take the empty glasses and trash from your room another feat, we had a group have their room not emptied for 3 days of an 8 day stay. All of these are honestly, not even the worst parts

I will start by saying we booked this trip through Amelia at The Travel Agency LLC. She is always such a pleasure to work with and takes away any and all stress/anxiety of traveling, planning and booking a trip. So huge thank you and shout to Amelia!! Travel day was a breeze, we flew from Nashville to Miami and then from Miami to Barbados. When we got off the plane in Barbados, our travel agent had set us up with VIP assistance, so we were greeted with a personal greeter holding a sign with our name on it. As soon as we connected with her she took us through the fast track of the airport, bypassing lines, helping with luggage and just made it such a smooth process through the airport. Then we waited for the shuttle, that is my ONE regret. Normally we take a private car, but for some reason at the Royal Barbados, not all butler rooms come with a private car, and we elected not to have one set up since we were with a group of 6. The shuttle experience was not the best, they seemed very VERY unorganized. We waited quite a while for a shuttle, then they finally loaded us onto one, only to then come back and unload us and then reload us onto another. It was hot, stuffy and not ideal(only because I am spoiled to the personal pickup), but we made it to the resort. Also the arrival at Sandals Barbados was a little different compared to the other sandals and all-inclusive resorts we have been to. Normally we are handed champagne upon arrival but they did not do that here, however we were handed some wet towels to wipe off with. Once we checked in, we were taken to a different lobby, which was the butler’s lounge where we met our Butler. This lounge did have a few self-serve wine and spirits (no champagne or beer) that you could help yourself to. After only a few minutes, Our Butler (Shemar) came and met us and took us to our room and gave us a little tour along the way. Once we got to our room there was champagne on ice and snacks waiting for us. It was paradise from this point on. We stayed in the Royal Seaside Crystal Lagoon Swim-up One Bedroom Butler Suite with Patio Tranquility Soaking Tub, and we absolutely LOVED LOVED our room. We stayed in room 7114, and our friends were right next door in 7113. Our mini fridge was fully stocked with wine, beer, waters, juices and the mini bar had Vodka, Rum, Red Wine, Baileys and Whiskey. Once we got settled, we went for some pizza!! We had read reviews that the staff was rude, but honestly, the girls working at the pizza bar were the ONLY rude staff we encountered the whole week. Now with that said, we arrived about an hour before it closed and there was 6 of us, and we were STARVING. So I am sure they were ready to close up and be done for the day. But, from that point on, It was SMOOTH SAILING. The place was PERFECT. The beach was a little too rough/windy to stay at, so we stayed at the pool most of the time. The entertainment staff at the main pool were so awesome, so were the bartenders. Also, Our Butlers, S
