Ocean Paradise Hotel & Resort

Place was very peaceful & quiet at night. King room was spacious and enjoyable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. If ever in the area again, I will book here absolutely !!

Never judge a book by its cover! These rooms were decent, slightly above average. The breakfast in the morning, awesome! Very nice property as a whole. Perfect location! I would highly recommend!

We had booked a king bed (mom, dad and baby) and when we got there they gave our room away to another person with the same first name. They didn't have any more kings so offered two doubles. Not happy about it but we already drove over 2 hours to get there. We had to push the beds together so we could have our baby's play pen set up. When we did that we discovered black mold on the floor. Went into the bathroom and there was mold in the caulking. Also the door lock was broke. We spent 2 hours trying to find a different place to stay. Finally found one (paying double). They knew we were leaving because of everything. They stated they could not give a refund only the manager can do that. I called hotel.com and they sent an email asking to authorize the refund. It is over a week later and still no refund. I had to do a charge back on my credit card. I have already spent over an hour with ********** trying to get it rectified. They called the hotel again and of course the manger was not in. I called 5 times and ********** tried each time to get ahold of the manager and of course each time they were not in. Shady, no way would I stay or recommend anyone staying here

We had stayed here a few years ago so we just booked it and headed out.. This place is now the worst run down place I have ever stayed in.. sliding doors to the balcony were broken. After literally 8 minutes to get hot water, the Shower diverter valve did not work . Carpets so dirty I didn’t dare walk with bare feet. The furniture is rickety and filthy.. WI-FI did not work and the front desk could not have been more indifferent.. The side and rear entry doors had no locks. The TV did not work. The breakfast room was so full of fruit flies from the rotten fruit on the counter everything was covered with flies. The building is in complete disrepair… But hey.. the linens were clean.. there is that..

Check in was fine, no issues - room on the whole was a good size, nice to have a fridge and the beds were fairly comfortable - wifi was sufficient and breakfast ‘ok’. I would agree however with other reviews, the common areas such as corridors were dirty - looked like they hadn’t hoovered in a while. The pool and hot tub, be it a nice amenity, was tired and full of chemicals, to the point of ruining my wife’s swimsuit. Far too expensive for the quality we experienced, but the location was good.

Don't believe the photos. They must be 10 years old. Hotel is run down, under staffed, and dirty. No paper products stocked. Power outlets didn't work. Beds were old and hard and uncomfortable. Not premium as advertised. Restroom by the pool had poop all over the floor and was never cleaned up even after reporting it. Our toilet clogged and I was given a plunger and told to fix it myself. The breakfast was good and my family enjoyed the hot tub. But it was a terrible place to stay.

Run away terrible place. Only the lobby was maintained. Trash everywhere, they wanted to charge up $25 for showing up early, would not let us cancel our reservation. No ocean view unless you pay extra hundred for third floor no elevator. Everyone including housekeeper were just hired.

If you have access to ANY other accommodations in Ocean Shores, do it. This place is a dump. It’s dirty, old, run down, and the front desk personnel -when we arrived -was inept and unfriendly. (One gal when we checked out was very pleasant) I saw one desk staffer’s demeanor to other guests waiting to check in, and knew it wasn't going to go well, even when I poured on the charm. I checked the reviews from the recent past, and many mentioned the garbage and trash all around the grounds...and some of the specifics - like empty capri sun drink pouches - and they we still there...Also empty plastic pop bottles and an incredible amount of cigarette butts (on a no smoking property!) still littered around the place. (*side bar* we had a reservation at another hotel down the street and when I checked in there and viewed the room, I almost chucked! How that place is even allowed to let rooms be occupied by humans is a mind blower to me! – but that is whole ‘nother review!) SO, we called and got the last room at this place, and they charged us rack rate so the pain was even deeper paying an average of $300/night for a true dump! (Had no idea the way to ‘do” OS is in an Air BnB or VRBO!) Besides “Sally Sunshine” the front desk, there was a young fella who was apparently new or in dire need of training, kept trying to get my credit card to run (their internet never worked) -all the sudden my card was declined! he tried to chg. it FIVE TIMES! (VISA said yeah, no that’s obviously fraud and cut my card off till I responded to a text message in their app!) So after 2 delays of more than an hour and a half to get into our room, first thing was the trip through the halls (which are beat to h*ll with holes and dings everywhere) to the elevator. Get to the room and first thing we see the carpet is disgusting! Greasy – dirty – sticky (do not go barefoot in there!) Checked the bathroom: fairly clean-ish. The shower curtain had apparently been torn down multiple times so with the most recent installation (all the patches are there – unpainted joint compound globs left on the walls) – you can’t open the bathroom door all the way as it bangs into the curtain rod that is hung too high and too far outside the tub surround so if you’re’ not careful you’ll flood the bathroom. Fan sounded like woodchipper, and the drain stopper was not installed, just an open hole on the tub. There is little mini fridge – totally caked with ice so the freezer compartment wouldn’t close which impacted the temp (even at warmest setting)- and it froze everything. The bed, sheets and teeny pillows were ok, and I did not see of have evidence of bed bugs so there’s that. Thin tiny towels. Spared myself the agony and just assumed the bed covers had been well used. The slider to the balcony wouldn’t slide open or closed, without 2 people working on it, and the screen came off the track immediately. Internet never worked, and when I asked will the internet be available at all? I was told “I don’t k
