Hotel Croce di Malta

Very bad. Dirty, actually, very dirty! Dilapidated. Only the people who work there are saved who, in that context of degradation, are kind and prepared. Unpresentable corridors, dirt everywhere. Room and bathroom with curtains, furnishings, walls, very degraded objects and above all with obvious dirt. Having no way to change hotels, I was forced to go and buy some disinfectant products which I scattered everywhere.

The worst stay experience ever. Dirty, gloomy, poorly maintained. I left without having breakfast, what I had seen in that room was already sad and unexpected enough to risk any further. The photos are explicit.

Somewhat old hotel, spacious rooms, fairly large bathroom, comfortable beds, very basic breakfast, very friendly reception staff: a basic hotel in the center with acceptable quality/price ratio.

We spent two nights on New Year's Eve. Excellent value for money, large rooms, super friendly staff. Fairly large bathroom. Normal breakfast (briches, biscuits, cereals, etc.), with the possibility of making it savory. They accept dogs

We booked for 2 nights in this hotel and even today I wonder how it could have had these 3 stars! There is no lift to the third floor, but not even the minimum level of cleanliness to achieve decency: on the stairs to access the floor one would have had to use the scraper to see what the steps were made of! The room was an attic, it had furnishings from the 70s, and the mosquitoes squashed on the walls were probably also from the same years, as were the cobwebs in the ventilation filters and the horrible dusty bedspread on the bed! The bathroom was unspeakable: shower measuring perhaps 45x45 cm, with a visibly chipped tray and accessories - from the air conditioner exhaust pipe - which visibly ran down the wall! Things that I don't think would be seen even in the worst hovels in Guatemala, for which we paid 55 euros per night! Having pointed out the inconvenience at the reception and were also inclined to pay a little more for a decent room, we were told that the structure had been designed that way at the time and for the rest it would have been reported to the owner. Absolutely to forget! The only "pluses" are the central location and the textiles in the bathroom, the only quality thing present.

I resided two days in May 2022 in a room on the third floor (attic). The structure, despite its excellent location, is clearly very far from hotel standards, with unjustifiable flaws (even for an inn) in terms of maintenance and cleanliness both in the rooms and in the common areas. The bathroom in the room was tiny, not very clean, the shower almost inaccessible and equipped with only a fixed shower head. The fact that the condensate drain from the air conditioner was placed in the shower compartment was bordering on the surreal... I could overlook the fact that the furnishings are very old and not maintained, but even the fixtures (roof) were peeling and in poor condition. The elevator doesn't reach the third floor at all. Breakfast just enough, served in the basement. The customer parking is at the back and consists of a narrow garage, dark and uncomfortable. Overall an experience to forget.
