I only stayed for one night as I had a tour the next day.
I went to the kitchen at 6am before I left and the state of the kitchen was disgusting and had pigeons roaming around for the scraps and the gas hob was left on.
I agree it’s those who stay there and lack of respect they have for the place but surly it should be checked at the end of the night or very early first thing as it’s not everyone’s fault, kinda prevented me from using the kitchen.
There is a sign saying there would be a fine for pots being left out but there was such a mass of them it’s not checked.
The private room itself was clean and had the basics. But the communial areas were off putting

i was happy with the location, close to train and bus station so easy to get around the city or you can even find it easy to get Perth airport.

Can't argue for the price, right in the middle of where you want to be. Nice and quiet at a reasonable hour, efficient systems in place. Hot clean showers, plenty of facilities.

Room was so messy, it looked like someone had been living there for a year without cleaning. No space to put your stuff... the locker was hanging of it's hinge. Bed uncomfortable, only stay here if you're desperate! The staff are very nice and helpful and the location is very central.

No recommendation. I absolutely did not feel comfortable in the hostel. It smells, the rooms are uncomfortable and the bunk beds wobble, you notice every movement and have no grids on top so you could just fall out. Too big, too noisy. But the staff are nice and the sanitary facilities and kitchen are cleaned very regularly.
