Not bad, we are traveling with children and help us arrange meals in the main building. Check-in is very convenient! The receptionist at the front desk who checked in was very nice. The dinner dishes are very good, the heat is well controlled, and the taste is good!

The location and lakeside environment are great. Next to Condes. There is a large grassy area right outside the door. Since we booked early during the Mid-Autumn Festival, room (twin bed)-8806 was okay. It's just that the balcony is a little small. Single-family villas are the same. All SoftBank and wine in the room are free. Since I didn’t want to go out to eat, I made a reservation for dinner with the front desk in advance. 558/bit. Children under 10 years old are not included. It seems that we are the only ones on the Mid-Autumn Festival night. The food is generally okay, and the portions are pretty much the same. The restaurant opposite is similar. They are an independent family. Yuan Hotel is run by a private owner, and the 🏍️ at the entrance is very eye-catching. The boss is said to be young and promising. I rented the hotel's not-so-new bicycle and rode leisurely around the lake. One city was full of mountains and half was a lake. The lakes and mountains complement each other, giving you a panoramic view. Passing through Hanling Old Street, there was a lot of traffic and people. Carefully avoiding tourists and little kids really tests my driving skills. Breakfast on the second day is also served on a seat-by-seat basis, so you need to decide your staple food in advance. Such as porridge, noodles, wonton stew, etc. The side dishes are all the same. The self-service area has some fruits and vegetables plus drinks and coffee. Room service is not very responsive. The front desk guy and other waiters are young and energetic. They have tried their best, but they just need a professional team or manager to coordinate, and the experience may be better. It is easy to open a store, but difficult to close it. Hotels, restaurants, coffee, craft breweries, and service industries are all the same. Hope it gets better and better. The hotel opened in 2020. To be honest, it has not been easy after three years of epidemic! Oh, by the way, there is a public basketball court down the small stairs from the back door of the hotel. Next time I will take the ball and dunk a few baskets every morning. This time I drove there. The hotel parking spaces are limited, but parking spaces will be arranged. The road entering the hotel is prone to traffic jams when the weather is good. Because there are so many people coming to set up camp!

Top in terms of location, facilities, staff friendliness and room standards. Zero stars for the quality of the dining experience, I'm afraid. Mediocre local dishes hopelessly overpriced and way below average by Ningbonese standards. Could have gone to Hanling village down the road or a bit further into Yinzhou for the same or similar dishes at a tenth of the price (and better quality). We felt it was quite an insult and if it hadn't been rather late and we hadn't been starving, we would have gotten up again and jumped in a Didi. My workplace canteen offers similar local dishes at less than 10 kuai/dish (ok, not a valid comparison, I must admit, but even the most expensive local restos don't charge more than 50 kuai either and provide bigger size portions and tastier). The portions were tiny and starters were priced on average at 100+ kuai while the mains, the size of starters, were on average 220+ kuai. Hardly reasonable for some seasonal veggies and 10 tiny rubbery beef cubes. The white wine hadn't been cooled (happens all the time but kinda unexpected if you pay 4,000 kuai a night for a resort in one of Ningbo's prime locations) and it was a cheap bottle priced at nearly 80 kuai a glass. Having stayed in a variety of luxury lakeside venues across Zhejiang over the years, we were pretty taken aback. For me it was the worst value for money food experience during my entire time in China. We loved our suite, the fitness facilities as well as the architecture of the entire resort though. The service was pretty professional and friendly even though hardly anyone speaks English which is surprising given that this place is regularly frequented by non-Chinese speakers from the local areas nearby (and we saw plenty of those for lunch). Also, in comparison to similar properties across Ningbo and Zhejiang, the breakfast was the worst also. Never mind the continental and English style brekkies (sometimes difficult to get right, we get that), even the Chinese dishes were mediocre (such as the soups, fried items etc) which was surprising. Should we return (we practically live down the road), we'll not spend a single penny on food in this place.

Sure, it is a stunning resort and overall we enjoyed the experience. However it is far from perfect. A few issues to consider: 1) I booked a deluxe room and relying on the picture I was expecting a sofa bed on the balcony. There was no sofa bed! Bummer. 2) The bathtub is quite small, mostly for one person. 3) The guest rooms feel/are quite distant from the lake. The view is so so. 4) The resort is not really on the lake, there is a road separating it from the lake. so no rooms or villa really on the lake. 5) They mention a shuttle bus to nearby Hanling old street, but it was only running every 2 hours and needed booking... a bit complicated for a 4 minute ride. 6) The main building with the lobby has very limited facilities. Just a small deck for outdoor dining. Overall ok, recommend to book on a weekday when the price is cheaper. I give 5 for service because it was a busy weekend and personnel was all very professional and efficient, but I did not experience anything exceptional. I tried the high end Chinese restaurant that was good and also the breakfast in line with a 5 star hotel.

My cousin’s ancestral home is Dongqian Lake, but he is now in Shanghai. The child is going to elementary school, and the family is going back to their hometown to play. This is a newly opened hotel with a very good location. As a Dongqian Lake person, I usually drive by and always look back. I booked two nights and could see Dongqian Lake directly through the window. I booked a lake view room. When I consulted the hotel, I was told that the lake view room only had a 2-meter bed. Since we are a family of three (the child is 7 years old), I booked an extra crib. Unexpectedly, after the guest arrived, he made it clear that he did not need an extra bed. It was already past 10 o'clock at night. The extra bed was cancelled, but the bed was not removed. When checking out, I found that the extra breakfast coupon for the extra bed had been used (the child was just over 1.2 meters tall). After explaining the situation, no extra bed fee was charged, nor was the booked extra bed breakfast fee. Very personal service. Absolute five-star service!

Unfortunately they had to close the indoor swimming pool, and that was a bit disappointing as I came prepared to swim, but understandable. Overall, I will be back for sure.Thank you for a good stay! The hotel covers a large area with lawns everywhere. The luxury villa we stayed in had 4-5 rooms in a villa. The room we stayed in was not that good. When we were walking the dog, we saw that the rooms next to us were better than ours. The front desk service is very good and the response is timely. We had dinner at the hotel on the first day. It was not cheap but tasted good. I feel that in Ningbo, the occupancy rate here is not high, and the hotel is quite remote, suitable for guests who like quiet. Because we play with our dogs, we like to have less people and quiet. It takes 20 minutes to drive to Hanlin Old Street, but the old street has no characteristics, so it is better to just walk around in the hotel. The breakfast was not very good. The freshly cooked wontons and beef noodles were very ordinary. Due to the low occupancy rate the next day, the breakfast was not a buffet but a set meal. The pet cleaning fee for 3 dogs is 300, which is not expensive.
