I had a very nice experience with the hotel. The personnel were very accommodating, nice and respectful. Over all it was apleasant stay even though we only had 1 night to stay. Aside from this, the location of the hotel was close to the WTC, Wall St., The Oculus, was just a 5-15 minute walk away. By the way, love the freshly baked cookies. I would truly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Had a brilliant experience here. For such an affordable stay the quality was excellent, the room was lovely, clean and cosy and the services offered were great - kitchen, lounge, computer/library area and laundry room. They also have activities like movie nights which is such a great bonus. The staff were extremely kind - especially Yari - who helped my friend and I when we missed our bus. We really felt taken care of. The location is also great and well connected with a subway station a few minutes away and it felt safe walking home at night. I couldn't believe we found this place and that it was as good as it seemed, especially for NYC! I would highly recommend staying here. The price-performance choice of New York tourism, the hotel itself is not cheap, especially the peak season, but compared to the same hardware hotel in Isle of Man is still a price-performance choice and the scenery is very good across the bank, very close to the path to the Midtown is very convenient, the United States The hotel is generally no service.

The reason for the poor review only has to be due to what I can only describe as a dangerous event. On our first evening at 0130hrs we were spoken to a strong smell of cannabis so much we were sick. The corridor outside our room was dense smoke like there was a fire! I went to reception who did not seem phased and move us to another floor! No attempt was made to locate the offender all be it there was no doubt it was coming from the room next to ours! The rest of the stay 6 days was uneventful until we checked out! We made sure there was not any transaction on our credit card which you are required to leave at booking in, we were told there was not however when return to the Uk we discovered £1078 had been taken from both parties credit cards! Reported to card company who directed us back to hotel as it was made there! Hotel does not reply to emails and when you ring will not discuss!!! Be very careful, we are now told by Virgin who we booked holiday with it will take in excess of 28 days to sort out, in the mean time we will still have to pay interest on card which will not be refunded

The West Side YMCA is definitely a no frills place to stay, but the location is excellent. You're right next to Central Park and Columbus Circle. Times Square is an easy walk south. We stayed in 2 different rooms. The first had a bunk bed and was quite small, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean. It also had a small TV and fridge. We had a semi-private bathroom, which was down the hall. This meant we had to scan our key on one of the bathroom doors to get in, but once inside we had privacy while we got cleaned up. The bathrooms were kept clean and tidy. We were able to upgrade the second half of our stay to a room with a larger bed and an in room bathroom. Again, this hotel is no frills. It can be rough around the edges, but it's clean and comfortable at the end of a long day of sightseeing. We did not have time to take advantage of the gym, the pool, the sauna, and stuff like that, but they looked nice. I'd recommend the West Side YMCA. If you're visiting NYC, you should be out doing stuff, not sitting around the room. It was everything we needed it to be.

The location of the hotel is in China town where Chinese restaurants, stores and grocery stores around it. Most of the customers were Chinese. It is close to the subway station, takes about 7 minutes to get there, but takes at least 30 minutes to get to Manhattan by train. We spent a lot of time on commute. If you want to visit Manhattan, I recommend staying in Manhattan. The highlight of the staying was breakfast which was perfect. However, I can’t believe that the hotel does not provide water, and we had to pay for water.

The hotel is located across from the ferry station so you can get to Manhattan within 7 minutes. It was great! The staff was super nice and the room was spacious. The breakfast is your average hotel breakfast, cold hard boil eggs, fruit, cereal and yogurt and those awful prepackaged sandwiches with fake meat and fake eggs. I definitely would stay here again, the view is pretty and the location is great!

While I explored nearby Bodegas for budget-friendly groceries, the hostel's public kitchen became my go-to for preparing breakfast and dinner. Although the communal kitchen occasionally suffered from post-use neglect, the dedicated hostel staff ensured it remained clean and well-equipped. The cleanliness of the shared facilities extended to the toilets, which were consistently well-maintained and stocked with amenities. This attention to hygiene contributed significantly to a positive overall experience. Despite booking a bed in a 12-bed room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the daily cleaning routine carried out by the diligent hostel staff. Adding to the positive experience, the Hi New York hostel's location proved to be exceptionally convenient for exploring major destinations. The hostel's close proximity to a subway station, just a 2-minute walk away, made traveling around the city a breeze. This accessibility enhanced the overall convenience of my stay, allowing me to easily reach and explore various attractions without any hassle. The strategic location near the subway station was undoubtedly a valuable asset for anyone looking to make the most of their time in the city. In essence, Hi New York hostel provided a comfortable and budget-friendly accommodation option with its friendly staff, convenient amenities, and well-maintained communal spaces. My stay was marked by a harmonious balance of affordability and quality service.

We stayed at the Element this past weekend and had a fantastic experience. Quick Overview - Staff was super nice, picked us up from the airport, held our bags while we went into the city before check in, Path station is across the street, great location with several restaurants nearby, hotel lobby and our room was clean, breakfast had plenty of variety (even stayed open 5 extra minutes for our teenagers who over slept), they have a nice bar & grill with good food and reasonable prices. Then to top it off, my daughter left her vintage magazine she bought in NYC. I thought for sure it was gone. Nope, the staff found it and dropped it in the mail to us this morning. My wife and I stay at this hotel after every Jets game. The staff are very friendly & accommodating especially Nimita. As the title states this is our home away from home and we are treated like family.
