The location of the hotel is good, the room is super clean and tidy, the whole hotel is in line with five points, why I didn't give five points just because the location of my room is not so good, facing the roof full of a lot of air conditioners

My daughter and I had the wonderful experience while staying at the Canopy by Hilton New Orleans Downton from July 3 – 9, 2024 during the Essence Festival of Culture. I've been a Diamond Hilton Honors member for numerous years, and I feel honored to express the wonderful hospitality received at this Hilton property. Prior to our check-in I had the opportunity to speak with Dijon and Ms. La La regarding logistics. Their professionalism and willingness to assist in my inquiries were over and above my expectations. I had the opportunity to meet Dijon upon check-in and he welcomed my daughter and I as if we were family. He made a point to state to call him if there was anything that we needed to ensure our stay was great. The next morning, I met Ms. La La who remembered my call and we had the opportunity to greet one another each day until my stay. She recommended excursions and restaurants and was always very complimentary. Each day at breakfast I was greeted by either Felicia or Kenneth. I can truly say these two employees made a great start of the day while serving with a smile. During our check-out, I met Chris, the property manager, and I informed him about each of these employees and that each are truly an asset to the Hilton company and how much we enjoyed our stay at this property. We would definitely book the Canopy by Hilton NOLA again.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Very clean room and common areas. The only reason I gave a 4/5 on facilities is because I don't think we should have had to pay $25 to park in the hotel parking garage!

Quaint hotel with lots of New Orleans charm. So very clean! My room was very simple with a comfy bed and antique style decor. Housekeeping service every day made the bed, emptied trash and brought fresh towels and new soap. I haven’t been seeing that at all traveling since Covid. It was my first time in New Orleans and I’m so glad I chose this hotel. It’s right on the trolly line straight to the garden district. The staff was helpful and friendly. Todd, the bellman made me feel so comfortable while I was traveling alone and was especially kind with his tourist suggestions. I found everyone more than willing to help in any way. It was a really pleasant stay.

Do not book this room expecting to find much of what made the Ace Hotel special, aesthetically. The staff is still fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but the vibe has changed for the worse. Now rebranded as “The Barnett” we were very disappointed. We used to love coming here, and truly appreciated the dark art deco aesthetic. Now, they are in the process of sterilizing it. The now light colored walls and weird pinkish shutters don’t work with the fixtures, floors, bathroom tiles, etc. It feels like the soul of the place has been ripped out to satisfy what some bland corporate designer thinks a hotel should be, but that’s missing the point entirely. Yes, it could have used some renovations and touch ups, but you didn’t have to ruin it. We didn’t stay at the Ace (nor did we book a pricey room at “The Barnett”) to stay at some bland hotel, we wanted something different. It’s sad to say, but we probably won’t be back. Pay attention to the date of the reviews. Most of the reviews here are from the Ace, not the Barnett, which is misleading considering how much has changed. The old vibe was great, the new one is bland and feels off. Don’t try to force something special to be what it isn’t.

I don’t know where to start. We recently stayed at the Windsor Court with friends our as the property came highly recommended and it certainly did not disappoint. The moment our driver pulled up and the doorman raced out with umbrellas we knew service was going to be impeccable. Everyone here is friendly, professional and very well trained to pay attention to detail and make you feel warm and welcome. Our rooms was nice and spacious, when traveling with a 4 year old we always appreciate space to spread out. Dinning venues are all great but I do have to say sitting in the lounge with an adult beverage and a bowl of gumbo was very enjoyable. We met lots of great staff including John Taylor who tools a few moments to chat with us and again just to be friendly and make you feel welcome. The only negative item was the tea service we took our daughter to just seemed to miss the mark a little bit was very appropriately priced for what it was. We would whole heartedly recommend this property and will absolutely stay here again!

KKseniia KoshevaiaWe recently had the pleasure of staying at Hôtel Peter and Paul in New Orleans and overall, it was a delightful experience. The interior of the hotel exudes a captivating charm, blending historic architecture with modern comfort seamlessly. The attention to detail in the design adds a unique touch to the ambiance. The service at Hôtel Peter and Paul was exceptional, with a staff that was attentive and friendly. They went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Whether it was providing local recommendations or promptly addressing any concerns, the staff's dedication to guest satisfaction was evident. While the overall experience was positive, I did encounter a minor hiccup with the housekeeping service. It wasn't as thorough as I would have expected, and some details were overlooked. However, this didn't overshadow the other positive aspects of the stay. In conclusion, Hôtel Peter and Paul offers a charming and unique retreat in the heart of New Orleans. The impressive interior and outstanding service make it a memorable choice for those seeking a distinctive and comfortable stay in this vibrant city.

GGuest UserWe were on a trip with 4 other couples, all staying in various hotels around Canal/Bourbon street, and the property at Virgin Hotels in New Orleans, from the lobby/coffeshop, to the room, to the rooftop bar were far and away better than the other properties for around the same price. It was our Anniversary weekend, and there was a very nice gift from the hotel in our room upon arrival, and everything was perfect. For anyone looking to see the WWII museum on their stay, it was an easy 10 min. walk, and Bourbon Street was 15-20 minutes away (for those inclined). The pictures and reviews on this hotel are accurate and probably understated compared to the experience we just had there in May 2022!

GGuest UserThis place is very hollow and loud. It's very close quarters and no sound proofing. You can hear everyone's TV in the hall amd your room, people screaming on the phone, doors slamming, people getting ice on another floor, people outside on the nice patio, water took forever in sink to go down, black blanket they give you was so nasty, looked like snot or semen smeared on it. Hair was everywhere. I say this with the understanding that hair is harder to get up. It was In our bed, everywhere in shower. I know you can't say no children but this is not a place for small kids to run around and talk in hallways bc everything can be hear so clearly. No proofing or weather*****ping under doors so there is a huge gap. Of maybe 1.5 inches under the doors that doesn't help the sound. Cute place, in a sketchy up and coming neighborhood. They have street parking only which was plentiful and said there was security roving through neighborhood. Never saw them but our cars were fine. Good idea for a small neighborhood hostel/hotel. Decor was simple and so cute throughout and it comes with a MW and fridge. The attached coffee and bar was nice.

GGavinmcvWe stayed 4 nights here and loved it. It was in the French Quarter but was quiet. The cafe is very handy and the Bombay club bar is great for a happy hour drink. GGuest UserOur family spent two nights at the Bourbon Hotel (October 10-12). We read the reviews and were expecting an upscale hotel experience. We travel very often in the US and around the world, in all types of hotels-from basic 3 starts accommodations to luxury resorts. We do not go to hotels unless we verify recommendations and find the best fit. At most, the reviews are accurate. At times, slightly non-representing, nevertheless, we realize that it is a matter of taste. However, it is rare that an experience is so far fetched from the positive review that I had to write one myself (I very rarely do). From the moment we entered, it was a clear that we are entering a once glamorous venue which was not maintained, not clean with an atmosphere in lobby as if we entered a train station and not a hotel. The room itself was also filthy, with toe nails under our bed, hair in the closet and dust in the room. There was no soap, and housekeeping did not clean at all the following morning. The door to the balcony does not close properly and therefore it is very noisy. The empty mini bar was more of a heater than a cooler. During the whole duration of our stay, the same garbage items were not removed from the elevator and others not cleaned in lobby. When we attempted to order room service as stated on the hotel website, we were told that “we no longer deliver food to room” with no apology given. When we went to try our luck at the breakfast buffet, we were told “we no longer offer it”. We were fine with a-la-carte but then we found out that they only offer bar seating and no high chair was provided for our daughter. Again, with no apology. They were filming a series outside of the hotel, which by itself is a cool thing, but not when it makes the hotel a production room, filthy, messy, noisy and again-the hotel does not acknowledge it. The worst moment was when we needed to wait 15 minutes in the heat to get back to the hotel as the small street was closed for filming. Again, no apology given. When we needed the front desk supervisor’s assistance in a billing matter concerning tax, we were dismissed in the most vulgar and not-service-oriented manner, despite the fact that they clearly did not follow State and Federal Law. We tried to explain the issue but again, there was a total lack of willingness to listen. Bottom line, this hotel is a disgrace. Maybe years ago it deserved 4 stars, today it is a mediocre youth hostel that charges like a luxury hotel. Avoid.

GGuest UserStaff at front desk was friendly enough. No parking for hotel specifically, but we parked in the garage right next door. Lots of broken down cars, but thankfully we didn't have any issues. Some strange people wandering around the streets, but that's not anything the hotel can change. Location was good - not too far a walk to Bourbon Street & the French Quarter. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite, which had a full kitchen and nice size open area. Our pull-out bed had no mattress on it, so someone had to bring one up. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms, however, one of the bedrooms didn't have a window in it. Did not try the breakfast or use any of the common spaces.

GGuest UserI booked this hotel 2 months ago through hotels.com. I selected the ”pay at hotel” option. We show up and they do not have our reservation or any available rooms. Unfortunately, the card I used to reserve the room was compromised and had to be canceled. I forgot that this card was used to reserve the room, and never followed-up. Nevertheless, I would think that since I only reserved the room and would still pay at the hotel, the hotel would hold on to my reservation, or maybe contact us before canceling the reservation. This was a huge inconvenience, and ended up roaming the streets in desperate need of a place to stay late at night.

GGuest UserThis was a stop over as our train stopped for the night in New Orleans and was to leave out in the morning. We arrived very late as our train had been delayed and staff was very helpful in getting us checked in. The room was quite comfortable. It had a refrigerator but no microwave which we would have greatly appreciated. We had to be up early to catch our train and we were unable to have a hot breakfast due to the lack of the microwave. Other than that, everything was fine. Hope to come back when we can stay longer.
