I would highly recommend staying at The Deer Park Inn if you are stopping by Nara. It is located very close to the hill where you will get the most beautiful view of the sunset in the evenings, and you will wake up to views of the deer roaming around the front of the hotel. The receptionist was so funny and nice, we really felt at home here and would love to come and stay again. Facilities are perfect, clean and well-maintained.

Nara Guesthouse is one of the hotels nearest to Nara Park. If you come to the city by JR station, you can walk to the hotel even if you are carrying bags (with rods). I think this is the most Japanese-style house. It’s very good. I like it, especially because it’s in the park itself. The sika deer is right in front of the window.
