Anthony, a trainee at the concierge, was super friendly and helpful. Super professionalism made my stay rewarding. The breakfast was very good but the room wifi was very weak and cannot be connected. Location is great and restaurant Kilimanjaro, riverside shuttle station are within walking distance.

Booked 3 club rooms for 3 separate nights during a multi-stop tour through Kenya. The Stanley and the 1902 lounge were one of the highlights of our trip and we would definitely stay here again and specifically book the club rooms. First of all, the staff were incredible - Emilie, Collins, Benson (1902 lounge butlers), Steve (concierge) and Susan (management) deserve special recognition. They all went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing. The 1902 lounge is well worth the upgrade. Soft drinks and snacks during the day, and an incredible happy hour daily from 6-8 with hard drinks and hors d'oeuvres. And if your flight is later the day of checkout, you can use the lounge throughout the day. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive. We tried all 3 restaurants during our stay - The Thorn Tree cafe provides an excellent breakfast and is good for lunch. Both the Thai Chi and Pool Deck restaurants were excellent dinner choices. If you are heading on Safari or to Mombasa you can leave the luggage you don't need with the concierge, taking only the things you need for that part of the trip. This makes traveling so much easier. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious and well-appointed. As we returned to the Stanley from one of the legs of our trip, we all remarked that it felt like we were ”coming home”. Would highly recommend.

The location of the hotel is surrounded by many supermarkets in the downtown area, and life is very convenient. The hotel facilities are also good for a small family life. The kitchen and other daily necessities are complete. The waiter cleaned and washed dishes every day. The hotel is relatively quiet, a few gates, and it is very safe. What I like most is that the price is very reasonable and it is a hotel with super high cost performance. Will come here again next time.

Personally feels pretty good, although the hotel is a bit old, but still very clean, each room is in the form of a suite, a bedroom and a small living room, a comfortable sofa and a small dining table for eating, the layout is reasonable, and more Satisfied is that you can have an extra bed, and it is free, and the price is very high. The family with big children will sleep more comfortably.

Overall it was ok. Pros, good location, the staff are friendly and the room is decent. Cons, the reception is inefficient and check in takes longer than it should. It’s like we are first customer that has ever checked in. Lots of confusion. My ac did not work. I had to call 3 times to reception before someone turned up. They said the ac does not work here. Did not bother to check anything because it seem normal for the ac not to work. I told him it’s very hot in this room and I can’t sleep. Also ac is basic especially if you are calling yourself a 5 star hotel. He shrugged and said I can get you a fan. Got very little sleep and I think they don’t service the ac to save on electricity. It’s a poor attitude from the management especially for a “5 Star” hotel. It’s more like a 3 star. Better places to go for the same price. Will not return.

Every time our taste buds were spoiled with tasteful dishes prepared by chef Charles Mbugua and frequently we enjoyed the lunch buffet. But the cherry on the cake was the hotel awarding us the suite room following our wedding. We have been appreciating it a lot keeping memorable thoughts forever. We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our safari. It is right next to shuttle bus stop off from Arusha. The food in the restaurant is pretty decent with lots of choices and you have everything under one roof including a bar if you want to stay in. There is a lot of noise from partying locally at the weekend. The staff are really helpful and friendly, especially Connie, Joseph, Caroline and all the reception/security staff. They made our stay a lot more enjoyable. Our room was spacious and had twin beds and an on suite toilet and shower. I would stay here again particularly because of the location.
