Worst hotel I've ever stayed in! Don't let the photos, high stars and several good reviews trick you, like they tricked my husband and I. Initially when we booked our room we expected a spacious and clean 1 + 1 room with a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom. But when we were at the reception, one of the staff members explained to us that we had gotten a completely different room because ”they don't give out rooms based on pictures” but rather instead have their own system of stages or levels and you don't even know which exact room you get when booking. They claim the one we booked was a tiny room that could barely fit my family of four and several luggages (we had been traveling overseas for a month).There wasn't even any space to walk between the beds or between the luggages, and I'm not exaggerating when I say I couldn't even close the door because our room was so small. The bathroom was infested with bugs on the ceiling and walls, the whole place smelled of obnoxiously strong perfume to mask the disgusting odor of meat previously cooked in the kitchen and throughout the whole ”stage”, and most bothersome of all, neither my family and I nor our luggages could fit in our small room. After explaining that we wouldn't be able to spend almost a week in this room, I spent over an hour trying to convince the people working at the reception to either give us our originally booked room or refund our money back and they said they couldn't do EITHER of them because the hotel was fully booked and since we paid online it wouldn't have been possible to give us our money back. What a scam! After a while of arguing, they finally agreed to let us stay one night in the room we paid for in the first place and refunded the rest of the money to us. My husband and I spent the rest of our day searching for a new hotel during the busiest time in Munich when every hotel was fully booked for the next few days. (In case you were wondering, we were able to find one that we loved for the rest of our vacation.) If our troubles only stopped there I wasn't going to take my time to write this review, but unfortunately the hotel staff and management had to disappoint me once again! The breakfast was not very good and the food was minimal, but more than that I felt like we were in the middle of a forest full of bees and flies, both outdoors and indoors. Not just one, but more than enough to prevent us from eating in peace. My kids kept screaming, and the jars of jam were full of bees. I informed a staff member and she brought back another jar in 5 minutes and I got some jam in time before it would be full of those bees again. If the doors of the hotel hadn't been open the whole time for them to come inside we wouldn't have had this problem. To make matters worse, my eldest daughter had been feeling sick for a few days and started feeling worse that morning, so her dad took her to get medical treatment leaving only me and my 8 year old daughter behind. Great location, good water pressure and fresh and tasty breakfast. I liked that omelettes were also a paid optional, as continental breakfast can get boring every day. Walking time to Marienplatz is quick and felt very safe in the area, taking Exit C from the metro also brings you right to the front door.

I chose the hotel based on its location, the hotel located just 20 minutes by foot from the bus station and old town. It’s a budget hotel so you shouldn’t expect much, however everything was nice for it’s price: friendly staff, a clean room, nice breakfast. There was only one bottle of water for two people and no toiletries (only all-in-one gel) so make sure to bring your own. It was a big noise at day and in the evening, but at night nothing bothered me. Overall I would say that it’s pretty nice hotel for a short trip.

Very good location with the airport express bus stopping right in front of the hotel. Directly opposite Munich central train station. Next door is a small convenience store. Extremely good value for money with room big enough for 4 beds, many power outlets and all bedsides came with bedside reading lights. Has a desk for traveller who needs to catch up with some work. Toilet is well equipped complete with clean towels, heater, hot water & great shower area. Wardrobe is large and this is supplemented by an additional hanging rod beside it. Room had a musty smell when we first entered but this dissipated quickly once we opened the large window to let him fresh (& super cool (cold?) air. Reception gave us a brand new kettle (packaging intact with all the plastic coverings) and this helps us to eat some instant noodles- we checked in too late to have any decent meal. Highly recommended to travellers who need an overnight stay to catch a train the next day from Munich central train station. Our experience is contrary to those who wrote negative reviews.

Wow. The Service was simply amazing. We travelled with a little child. The staff arranged a nice crib for our baby, the foldable type but with its own clean cushion, bedsheets and towels. The hotel’s design is simple, our room was super clean, it smelled nice and it had a nice warm temperature. We are super happy to have stayed here and congratulate the management and employees for their customer centered service.

We had to find a hotel in Munich for 2 nights during Oktoberfest, which we did not plan to attend. Most hotels were booked even at 4 months before, and Hotel Buddy was the only one we found convenient for transport. The hotel was modern in bright yellow. The strongest strength is the location which is very conveniently in Karlsplatz with many transportation options and near to the sights. The U-bahn stop is right infront of the hotel, and also the S-bahn stop which is very convenient to go directly to the airport. However, although the hotel charged around 300 euros/night, which is understandable as all other hotels also raised their price due to the high demand, the hotel should do something that made it at least worth the price tag. Our floor was undergoing refurbishment, so we have to walk past many open rooms with construction and unclean wet floor cover. Further on, guests in opposite rooms opened their doors and were partying together. Our room was at the end and some drunken(?) guests had tried our door, mistaking it for the common bathroom. The foldable table was unable to be folded and keep on dropping down and once hurt my back. Worst of all, we just realized that the policy of the hotel is “NO HOUSEKEEPING” on the second day, luckily, we could go down to the lobby to get more clean towels as the old ones had already gone down to the floor. All of these would be acceptable should the room rate cost less than a hundred euros. Our comfort double room was a bit larger than other small room, but still very small. Long narrow sofa by the windows provided spaces to sit. The blinds had to be close as the opposite building was very close. Nespresso machine with 2 coffee and tea capsules with bland taste. Bathroom was small with few amenities, the hand soap dispenser was difficult to squeeze. A tablet in the room was for information of the hotel and sights, but was rather slow. No breakfast available on-site. But some complimentary snacks (apples, pretzels) could be grabbed from the lobby. A vending machine was also available. Staff at the lobby were quite friendly and helpful.

I was a bit unsure whether or not I should book this hotel as it had some mixed reviews, but I took the chance. The hotel is located just a few meters from Sendlinger Tor which is just one metro stop away from Munich central station. Sendlinger Tor is a hub serving six metro lines and four tram lines. You also have a large number of bars, restaurants and shops in close walking distance from the hotel. Check-in was hassle free and the receptionist was very friendly although he could barely speak a word of English. Kinda strange when you work at a hotel in a major city. The single room was much bigger than the impression I got from the pictures. It had a large bed, table with a chair, a shelf for your luggage, an ensuite bathroom and even a private balcony. The hotel reception is open 24/7, but guests don't get their own key to the main entrance. At night, the receptionist has to open the door for you. This is where things went wrong for me at my first night. After going to one of the bars in the area, I got home at night with no receptionist present. I rang the door bell and knocked on the door and windows around the reception but nobody was there. I think I waited for almost half an hour before I gave up and decided to search for alternative entrances. Luckily I found a fire door in the backyard that I managed to get open so I could get to my room for a good night's sleep. I complained about this to the staff in the morning and they apologised for the inconvenience and promised to take this up with the receptionists on the night shift. I paid around €350 for three nights, which I think was a reasonable price for the stay. All in all, I was happy with my stay here but I can't give it more than 3/5 stars due to the inconvenience being locked out at night because the receptionist was suddenly gone.

The check-in process was a breeze. The staff were very helpful and polite. Location - The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from the main station in Munich. The area is not the best and I would probably not recommend a late-night walk but the convenience makes up for it. All the tram and bus lines are within a 5-minute walk from the hotel. There’s a supermarket next door and loads of food options around. Rooms - The rooms were large with twin beds, a tv, a minibar, a kettle, a large desk and a wardrobe. The air conditioning worked really well. You can use the mobile phone to open the room door.. although it didn’t work on the elevator. Might be easier to just use the key card. There are plug points near the bed. Wi-Fi was super fast. The view wasn’t great. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom wasn’t large but had a tub. The water was hot and the water pressure was great. The only area of concern was when I placed the Do Not Disturb sign on my door before heading out for the day (as I didn’t want my room cleaned), when I got back I found that my room had, in fact, been cleaned - this was a huge issue for me as there were many valuable items left around (and no one should have entered the room either way).

We stayed here 2 nights, from June 12 to 14 .This hotel is perfectly located just steps from Munich Central Station, with an overall modern look and concept. All 4 of us(two adults, two teenagers) checked in after 11pm; the front desk looked tired, but so were we. There are two elevators leading to the rooms and both are fit enough for more than 4 people. We had two rooms right next to each other: Room 445(two twin beds), and Room 447(one double bed). Both rooms were spacious and clean, and beds were comfortable. WI-FI connection was great. Bathroom was huge given European standards, water temperature was perfect for both hot and cold fans. AC temperature was perfect. We had a peaceful sleep and the morning after we went downstairs for a magnificent breakfast: water, coffee, tea, juices, hot chocolate, pancakes, scrambled eggs, croissants, assorted cheese, assorted bread, fruits, are only about a third part of the breakfast items. Pretty close to dining places(walking distance) but somewhat far from historical places, check-out was a breeze, would stay here again

An un-planned two-night stay here, necessitated by the temporary failure of Lufthansa, was a pleasant experience as the hotel offered a large and comfortable room with great heating and good (if older) ensuite amenities. It doesn't look like 'posh' hotel, but it was comfortable and the location is great for the Hbf rail station -and for one of the nightlife areas. It isn't a long walk from the old town either. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was reasonable.
