This was my first time here, but the temperature of the water in both the open-air bath and the indoor bath was just right, and the indoor bath felt strangely calming. You can use the outdoor private bath any time if it's available. The water is a nice, slightly cloudy water. It's the same as Kurokawa Onsen. There is a large open-air bath, and I liked the atmosphere there. There are many baths compared to the number of rooms, so it didn't feel crowded. I think the food is worth the price. I was satisfied. As others have written, the rice was very delicious. Alcohol is available, including Kumamoto shochu and Kumamoto sake, and local sake is relatively reasonably priced. The draft beer is the size of a mug at an izakaya, and I was satisfied with it, and there was a Bordeaux red wine for about 4,000 yen, and the taste is reasonable and I think even those who like spicy food will be satisfied. The dining area is not completely private, so that's a bit of a weakness. The landlady came to greet us during meals and took photos for us when we left, and we were very friendly and made a good impression. Most of the waiters were foreign, but you could tell they were all working hard. It felt like everyone was watching over the landlady. It was a well-balanced, well-run inn that I would like to visit again if I'm in the area.
