La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Miami Airport East

Miami Springs|3.27km from downtown
Let’s start by saying, we evacuated here from Fort Myers during Hurricane Ian and chose to go back to a home with no power or water rather than stay in that hotel a second longer. I’ve stayed in some horrible hotels but this one wins the prize for the worst! I so wish I’d taken pictures because the room we were in was the antithesis of the ones posted on here! Firstly, it stank. It was truly disgusting. The room was beyond dated and wasn’t the cleanest either. In fact on the day we decided to leave my husband found cockroaches in our room. The beds were tiny and uncomfortable, the a/c unit was obnoxiously loud! To add insult to injury, we chose the hotel because La Quinta are pet friendly and we had our 2 dogs with us. They charged more than the corporate La Quinta policy calls for; claiming they are independent and can make their own decision dependent on breed / size of dog. They didn’t even see ours because they had us enter the hotel through the back. The staff that we encountered were reasonably friendly but not much use. There is nowhere to eat an evening meal, the places that deliver were all pizza, over priced and poor quality. We didn’t want to leave and try to negotiate Miami traffic! Other La Quintas we visited have been ok, I just don’t know what happened here. On a positive note, they did refund us for the nights we didn’t stay. And I can say, no air con, no water and the sound of generators buzzing all night was better than that awful place! There’s a Hyatt close by. Go there instead! If you’re wondering why we stayed - well - there was little choice given that most of SW Florida has come over to Miami to escape Ian! Never again! Please - if you’re looking to stay somewhere pre flight - go somewhere else. You’re not getting any sleep here!

Let me begin by saying loud and clear with a big hearted smile! WOW!This is my second time staying with this company and these guys don't cease to amaze me. I always struggle to find a great place that is affordable and can accommodate my family of 6( My husband, a teen and a preteen and my 2 dogs. So, I usually compromise, even when I have to pay for the dogs, which I've done pain-takingly because I like good stuff and we are in a budget most of the time, raising a family, you know .Well, compromise no more and certainly not here at Red Roof. 5 ⭐ stars treatment for my kids and my doggies. Most hotels (with in this price range accepting pets free of charge), that I've stayed in, there is always a foolish smell,Which I understand: it's not easy to keep things pristine when pets are around. No at this hotel, from the Lobby to the laundry room all is clean and smell good and fresh. When we opened the door and walk into the room the fresh smell and the well decorated room, with well appointed furniture the place is is breathtakingly clean and discreetly luxurious .Even my kids ,who are really picky, said that there was not different with 5 starts hotels where we have been without the dogs .Another great thing was the breakfast buffet, I was impressed the variety of breads, muffins, and pastries, jams, butters, coffee, teas, yogurt, you name it...and all included in the price of the room. And the breakfast area, even though was full remained clean all the time. They didn't have a tipping jar and they really should, these people deserve recognition and tipping stimulation. And I'm someone who question tipping, when it is undeservedly enforced. The last but not least, the staff: all the personnel were so courteous, relaxed and attentive, they were fully bilingual, always ready to help with true smile in their faces.I love this hotel and I will always stay with this company ,when travel with my family and my dogs. Or even by myself, who, knows. This is one of the nicest place, it is Great , and just hope they have in every state.

Parkway Inn

No breakfast. The location is very close to the airport and the price is right. I stayed for one night in the transit plane. Suitable for passengers in transit aircraft. There should be a parking lot.
Days Inn by Wyndham Miami Airport North

The taxi was wrong. It was more than 4 am when I came here. The button for booking last night went dark. The day of booking was counted as yesterday. Check out at 11 o'clock and rest for a few hours. When the reservation is made, no check-in and no cancellation will be given. Only checked in again at night and found a motel with a gas station outside.
Onyx Hotel Miami Airport
3.5/547 Reviews
The hotel changed names and didn't update, so I had a challenge finding the place. Glad I had the address to confirm my location. Once I arrived, check-in was smooth and with a smile and good humor. I was there less than 12 hours, just between flights. Just needed a nap and shower. The room itself was okay, but the bathroom could have been cleaner. Looked like the small toiletries (shampoo, conditioner) were left from the last people there. The toilet was gurgling all night, though thankfully did not have any issues when flushed. Check-out was also easy and painless, and the receptionist also had a smile to share.

Garden Hotel Miami Airport, Trademark Collection by Wyndham
2.5/518 Reviews
The hotel has been transferred to the garden inn, because it has just taken over, all aspects look quite new, very clean, the facilities in the room are not fully completed for the time being, it is understandable that it has just taken over. The staff was very welcoming and polite.
