Gites de Lenvos

Lenvos is a small hamlet of beautifully restored gites set in lovely grounds with fishing lakes, close to the River Blavet. Fiona and Phil are very welcoming hosts who manage to get the balance just right between helping you to feel settled and letting you do your own thing. We stayed in Le Jardinet - sleeps up to 6 people. This gite was a lovely place to stay; exposed brick, wooden staircase, comfortable open plan living - with a wood burning fire - dining and kitchen area, cosy bedrooms and a well appointed upstairs bathroom. A large tv with satellite access to UK channels was a great bonus as we needed a rest from speaking in French all day! A charming gite full of character but if you are a light sleeper, be aware that the wooden floors and door handles upstairs creak a lot. Any noise at night wakes me but if you sleep well, you’ll have nothing to worry about! We didn’t get to properly try the fishing lakes on site as we arrived in October without the best of weather. However, they looked super for trying out the sport and I understand that Phil can provide fishing equipment. We were able to walk around the grounds which are extensive and lovely. There is a short, circular walk around Lenvos which is nice or longer walks along the River Blavet and in the surrounding countryside. Lenvos is only about 5 mins from the historic town of Pontivy. Well worth a visit for the castle, historic buildings, shops, restaurants and weekly market. It’s also a short hop to the city of Vannes on the coast. Well worth a visit for all the same reasons but bigger! Lenvos is a great place to stay and only 1 hr 45 mins from Roscoff. Just be aware that you really need to follow Fiona and Phil’s directions to get there without a hitch. We typed Gites de Lenvos into our Google maps and ended up in completely the wrong place about 10km north! Now we know our way, we hope to return very soon. Highly recommended. 😊

Beautiful quiet setting, gites are of a high standard and the owners provide everything required. The morning bread delivery is wonderful! The area is very scenic, we had great food where ever we went and visited lovely friendly towns and markets in the area, plenty to see and do without travelling to far. Pontivy has a great award winning chocolate shop well worth a visit.

Wow! What a find. As soon as we arrived at Gites de Lenvos, we felt relaxed and at home. We enjoyed a wonderful family holiday, staying in La Creperie and making the most of the beautiful swimming pool and grounds (including the badminton court and boules). The house has the most stunning view over the lake and my partner spent many happy hours fishing. The lake is frequently visited by a kingfisher and white egrets and we spotted lots of other wildlife, including toads, lizards and many species of dragonflies and butterflies. Although it's tempting not to leave the grounds at all, there are lovely routes for walking or running from the house, including along the Nantes-Brest canal. Gites de Lenvos is also very well situated for excursions around Brittany and we enjoyed days out at Kingoland (a highlight for our girls, aged 13 and 10), Lac de Guerledan, Josselin (fab Monday market), L'accrobrancherie (tree climbing/zipwire place) and Vannes. The gite was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Phil and Fiona are brilliant hosts and we really appreciated the daily bakery run and all loved the archery session. The girls also enjoyed the bushcraft. We loved it so much, we're returning next summer!

Gîtes de Lenvos is located at the end of the road, nestled amongst the trees and the lakes which added to the tranquility of the area. The Le Maison was well equipped and provided plenty space for our family. Fiona and Phil were extremely helpful hosts who provided information ahead of our stay and whilst we were there, they were very happy to help with places to visit and restaurants to go to. Each evening our bread order was taken and kindly left for us to collect which was a nice touch. Phil kindly arranged to set up the pool early which was an added bonus! The resident dog “Chip” was a delight and was very friendly. It was a very enjoyable stay and will definitely return soon!

An absolutely beautiful holiday. I couldn't fault a thing. Truly stunning grounds, a well equipped, clean and comfortable gite, fantastic pool and such friendly, knowledgable and hospitable hosts. There's loads to do with kids in the local area too. Particularly loved the nearby lake. Thank you Fiona and Phil got such a great holiday!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gites de Lenvos. What a beautiful place - very tranquil and relaxing. All the facilities were excellent. We appreciated especially the pool (for me) and the fishing (for my husband). Everything within easy reach and well maintained. Fiona and Phil couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. The locality is lovely and we enjoyed the walks around lakes and the river and canal. It was so good we booked an extra 5 days and hope to return next year! Denise & Tom

Myself, my husband and our 3 year old son spend 8 wonderful nights at Phil and Fiona's little piece of paradise. This was our first holiday abroad and we were looking for a place that was child friendly, but not an all-inclusive resort where we would be confined to a balcony when our son slept. Le Jardinet was perfect; the rooms were spacious, the house was clean and our back garden looked onto the swing set so we could supervise our son without worries. The grounds are full of adventure and mystery, and we enjoyed exploring them every day. The pool area was locked at all times so my son was safe. Phil and Fiona gave us great recommendations for places to visit. If you have bikes, this location is especially good because we spent hours riding around from one town to the next and the roads/canal made it easy to get around. We will definitely return; thank you Phil and Fiona for your hospitality. Lola, Rory and Arlo!

We had a great stay here in May. The owners have put in a great deal of hard work which shows throughout the accommodation and pool/woodland area. Lenvos gites is a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay and we really enjoyed our time there. We stayed as a family with two children 5&8 who enjoyed the play area and this was in sight of our accommodation (the creperie) so we could sit and relax while watching them play. The pool was great too. A short drive or a cycle 25mins up to mansion Daniel (bakery) for breakfast was great and pontivy is close by for supermarket etc. 45mins drive to josselin which is a recommended place to go. We would definitely return and a week just went too quick. Thank you

We had an absolutely superb holiday at Fiona and Phil's lovely property. It's an oasis in agricultural Brittany, with lovely accommodation, gorgeous garden and lakes, great little pool and good fun for all the kids. The gite itself was lovely, with a new bathroom/kitchen and very well stocked for as much cooking as you want to do. The extra touches offered, such as a bushcraft session with Phil for the kids and a dinner each week for all guests, really made it a special experience for us as a family. Our two children (6 and 8 at the time) made friends with others in both weeks and enjoyed their time in the pool and around the gardens. Worth saying that it's a perfect base for family cycling. We did numerous rides out, with either completely flat off road options (along the Nantes-Brest Canal) or gently rolling very quiet country roads. Well worth taking or hiring bikes. All in all a super two weeks, very relaxing and we were made to feel at home from the minute we arrived to the very sad moment when we drove away.
