The hotel/bar & restaurant (Ibis & Jamboree) are my weekly watering hole! Lovely staff, lovely drinks and a fantastic atmosphere! If you’re staying in Manchester, make sure you get yourself here and ask for Preston, he’ll sort you out!

Two night weekend stay, it's a fab hotel in a great location, the entire of the City Centre is within easy walking distance, easier than driving or waiting for an Uber! Easy parking on St James St and at a slightly discounted rate for hotel guests. The hotel is really modern with really inviting lobby and spacious rooms. However whilst the rooms are spacious, they are quite outdated compared the modern lobby and communal areas. The rooms really need a bit of an uplift, in terms of style and furniture, it is very 80's style wooden features, which is fine it just wasn't in-keeping with the rest of the hotel. Certainly didn't effect our stay and would definitely stay again, just strange to open the door to a nit of a time machine.

Would definitely recommend this hotel for short stays in Manchester. The central location makes it ideal for exploring, shopping and evenings out. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. Everywhere was absolutely spotless, the staff were all lovely and the bar/restaurant downstairs is a great place to start your night.

The location is good, but not user friendly for luggage, i need to take 2 of my luggages (30kg) alone upstarts to the lift to my room. That’s killing me, I dun expect that hard for me, it’s not worth to pay that price. I found we have other better choice among that area.

Glad to have free WiFi in the hotel and self help coffee at the lobby area, Room rate was slightly too high for asian travelers as compare to the small room size, Suggest adding more hooks and shelves on the walls, may add a big curtain between the bathroom zone and bed zone to increase privacy, Staff not very familiar with the nearby environment such as supermarket or 24 hrs convenient stores, maps for guests at their reception desk may be considered

My husband and I came to the hotel on Friday 7/10/2022 room 1216 I honestly couldn't say anything negative about this hotel . The moment we walked in Georgia and neelam on reception greeted us warmly and explained everything. Once we settled in we came back to the bar to enjoy the amazing range of cocktails made by Gabriel :) the bar staff were all amazing from the manager phoebe to Pablo and andree they couldn't do more to make you feel welcome . Our room did have a view of the construction but we expected that as we are in the middle of Manchester and it was not a problem at all . The breakfast was beautiful unfortunately I didn't get the gentleman's name who was clearing the tables but he was so nice lastly I would like to give mo from housekeeping a massive shout out our room was spotless and he even gave me a kit kat 😀 what stands out about this hotel is the staff and I mean all the staff shine they all greet you with smiles and I know how hard that can be for a full shift 😀 can't wait to come back thank you

Spent one night here as I was travelling to a match in Old Trafford. The stadium is only 10 minute walk away. I requested a quiet room as I had my young son with me. I must say that they certainly did accommodate me. The room was clean and very small. The bed was very comfortable. One tip, if you want to charge your phone and use it while lying in bed, bring an extra long phone charger cable, as the only socket in the room is under the TV, which is in the corner of the room Its a maybe, that I will stay again. I got it for a great price. Overall, happy with stay. It is the basic of basic hotels! Heard from other that the tram can be loud, but I never heard it. Gregs shop next door in petrol station was handy.

I stayed at the Milton last night the 22nd and it was excellent. I had read the reviews and was a bot concerned by them so approached the entrance with caution. Its clear the building used to be an office block and home to the DHSS. I was directed to the hotel reception where the pleasant surprises began clean airy and a very efficient and welcoming receptionist. Then onto the room which medium sized was warm the bed comfortable and the shower powerful . I ate in the bar and had a well cooked meal and a beer . Next morning breakfast was simply incredible value the selection was large the coffee good and the produce used a step up. All the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful . Its cheap but its great

I just HAD to write a review on my stay here. Well... this was my 3rd hotel in 4 nights of travelling. It was also the cheapest one, and the only one I was kind of dreading! Oh how wrong could I have been! From the moment I entered, the receptionist was so friendly and helpful. Welcoming, kind and professional. I asked if there was any fridge I could use to store some food items I was travelling with and they kindly put these in the staff area for me overnight. Could not do enough to help. The hotel feels more like a modern new hostel than a hotel. The vibe in the communal area felt very much like a classy hostel. It was warm, friendly and welcoming. Free unlimited tea and coffee down there was great. Breakfast was only continental, which I hadn't realised. Lovely pastries, but a shame no hot food was served. Rooms are very small, as I had expected, but functional, Plenty of charging sockets, good hot shower with amenities. As I arrived into the station at terminal 1, and was flying from terminal 1 the next day it is quite a walk with heavy bags. There is no shuttle bus or alternative way to get to terminal 1 from here, only the skylink. This would have been fine, but the moving escalators on the skylink were switched off. When I asked the hotel staff about this, they said they have not been working for months. I don't know why this is, but it would have made moving to/from the hotel a lot easier so it was a shame. Overall a very good and unexpected stay. For the price, I would stay again. Thanks to all the staff for such a pleasant welcome.

Located 2 minutes walk from the Tram stop, you can get directly into the centre of Manchester in 45 minutes so perfect quiet place if you are going to an event like I was. The hotel is brand new and located opposite a leisure park of shops, restaurants and a cinema. The hotel was actually spectacular for a town centre hotel, modern and bright. The rooms were very nice well kitted out with mod cons. As a hilton Honors diamond member I was not offered a free upgrade, nor a late check out after 2pm as they said the house keeping leave at 3pm. Overall it’s a nice hotel, but I would not recommend it for hilton Honors members as the benefits are very limited.
