Manali Heights

This was our first time in Manali. We were a bit apprehensive since this was a 3 star hotel. But I should admit that the hotel exceeded my expectations. In terms of location, it is located near the Hidimba temple but yet quite secluded from the rush. Do not expect it to be hotel with great facilities as it is a relatively old hotel, but they have all their basics in place. They still use the lock and key system instead of the card system, but we were ok. The rooms are clean and the staff is courteous, The best part is the food in their restaurant. It is very nice food but at the same time not very typical heavy food that one finds in North Indian restaurants/ cuisines. The only thing to avoid are the rooms near the car park. We were there for 3 nights were booked in 2 rooms near the car park. It was not an issue for us as we used to come back to the hotel only to have our dinner and would leave the hotel in the morning for sightseeing after having our breakfast. The restaurant only opens at around 8 am in the morning and hence if you want to leave early, the restaurant is able to pack a nice breakfast for you. It met all our expectations and we had a pleasant stay at Manali Heights. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those traveling with family and young kids.
Hotel Ibex

I was looking for a hotel near mall road so i booked this hotel but my decision turned out to be a very scary experience. 1. The size of the room is very small which makes me feel very uncomfortable. 2. There is another hotel near the hotel from which the voices of other guests keep coming all night which did not allow me to sleep properly. 3. The hotel staff is not at all cooperative, i requested 3-4 times to change the room but my request was ignored. They just refused my problems and said sorry we can't change room if you have problem then please check out from the hotel. So please if you are going with your family or girlfriend then book a good hotel. Do not spoil your experience by going for a cheap hotel.
The Rock Manali by Vivaan Centrally Heated Property

We stayed here for 3 days. It is a good budget property with good location, right on the main road and away from the rush/congestion of mall road. The only problem during our stay was the loud music on almost all 3 days at night from the party hall they have on the first floor. The crowd was bad at the hotel, probably due to the cheap rates? the staff was good, but they need to manage the crowd in their hotel. Lots of youngsters, who were very roudy. We had people ringing our door bell at 12 in the night, and here was constant shouting in the lobby, which spolied an otherwise good stay. The other problem was that the hot water was not available before 7 am. Not that we needed it, but one day we had to request them to turn it on when we needed to use the bathroom early. The gym/spa and the kids activity area which is supposed to be in the 3rd floor was not functional.
Utopia Resorts & Spa

Manali is beautiful when you see the views around and Karma Utopia is a great place to stay there. The hotel has been recently done up and the rooms are well appointed, though a bit small. he location is comfortable and near the Hadimba Temple, so at times it gets a bit crowded. It is located close to the Mall Road, a few minutes ride in an auto (tuk tuk). The restaurant food is just OK and could do with some improvement, however the staff is warm and hospitable. It is definately a hotel to be considered if visiting Manali.

Grace Resort and Spa

We had booked room for 5 days in this hotel. Rooms are spacious, toilets are clean, they provide heater too. Hot water is available 24/7 which is great for manali weather. Loved their hospitality, both restaurant and hotel staff was well mannered and made our stay worth living. We arrived at manali around 1 am at night after a long journey, first thing they asked us was if we had dinner ! that was very kind & impressive gesture. I wish them good luck and would recommend everyone to choose ah r grace manali if they are planning a vacation in manali.
