We spent 2 days at the hotel, overall decent experience! Pros: - staff is extremely polite! Very accommodating and well spoken. They live up to the reputation of “Lucknowi tehzeeb.” - food is very good, too! Breakfast was also included in our stay and they have a decent spread - check-in and out procedure very seamless - well-connected to city centre and close-ish to public transport (metro) Cons: - room cleanliness leaves much to be desired. Though WC was sanitised, we found handprints (left perhaps by the previous guests?) on the wooden door frames. The room had a bit of a smell as well, if I must nitpick. But to be honest, the handprints at odd placements was what really bothered me. Gives the impression that the turnover service is lacklustre and they do the barest minimum. - accessibility to food delivery. We’ve stayed in many reputed hotels and it’s never been this difficult to get Swiggy delivery! I understand that it’s not beneficial for hotels to facilitate in-room delivery but delivery professionals were _not even allowed through to the lobby_ which in my humble opinion, is absolutely ridiculous and feels a bit classist. Would have expected better of a legacy property. - Very small water bottles provided which, made it necessary to call multiple times a day, for 4/5 bottles at a time. It’s bad for the guests’ convenience and MUCH worse for the environment! Please just get litre bottles! Overall, largely seemless stay besides the blip with sustenance. Cleanliness could be miles better. Hope they will take this feedback and do better, as I’m sure they can!
