Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou

My first time in Guangzhou was fantastic! I'll definitely be staying here again next time I visit. The staff were all so kind and welcoming. As soon as my taxi pulled up, someone was there to help with my luggage. The room was huge and super clean, and the extensive use of red cave stone was really beautiful. The bedding and linens were high-thread-count and very comfortable. Plus, having a mall right downstairs made shopping incredibly convenient. They were also very prompt and professional in helping resolve any issues. My trip was too rushed this time to try the dining or the cakes, but next time I'd love to stay a whole day without even leaving the hotel!

The service was below expectations, especially considering the price point for hotels in this category. The breakfast experience was also quite mediocre; there was a lack of portion control and the coffee was surprisingly bad. This isn't the quality one would expect from a Mandarin Oriental. Aside from the complimentary bottled water, all other beverages were charged. The only highlight was the gym's facilities and the staff working there.

Woke up super early because it was so hot, turns out the AC was broken. For a hotel of this caliber, they should really be checking room facilities before guests check in, instead of having guests test them out for you.

The staff at the Executive Lounge were incredibly warm, friendly, and enthusiastic. The afternoon tea and dinner offered a wide variety of high-quality dishes; we were very satisfied with the food. They even came around to ask for guest feedback, showing a genuine desire to improve. Their service attitude was truly exceptional. The room itself was luxurious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with high-end facilities.

Whenever I visit Guangzhou, I always stay at the Mandarin Oriental. The experience is consistently superb. The front desk staff are professional, efficient, warm, and polite. The rooms are clean, tidy, and comfortable. The location is excellent, right in Taikoo Hui, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. I'm not sure when they switched the complimentary bottled water to Voss; the previous Andes glass bottles were quite cool.

This was my first stay at a Mandarin Oriental hotel, and I was absolutely blown away. It has such a beautiful, elegant Eastern charm. Personally, I think the shower was the best and most atmospheric I've ever experienced!

This was my second stay at MO Guangzhou, and it was just as welcoming and comfortable as the first. The room was spacious, and the hygiene conditions were relatively good. The staff were responsive and even proactively guided me when I was unsure of the way. During my stay, it happened to be an important time for my family and me, and the hotel, upon learning this, prepared a cake and a small souvenir. Despite a few minor hiccups, they didn't detract from the overall excellent experience. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay, and it will remain my top choice when I visit Guangzhou again.
