Grand Royale London Hyde Park

London|0.68km from Kensington Palace
Due to the rail strikes we decided to travel to London the day before we were due to be having a romantic getaway, I couldnt book an extra night in our hotel because it wasnt available, so I booked 1 night here. On arrival we received an upgrade to the Lily Langtree suite which was a huge surprise as we've never experienced that before , as it was our 25th wedding anniversary it was a wonderful experience. The suite was extraordinarily spacious, with the bathroom being bigger than our living room at home! The four poster bed in a commanding place in the bedroom all looked amazing, however, there were a couple of issues. In the room were two balcony doors, looking out the balcony looked in poor condition, on the right side the balcony doors wouldn't close so you can hear all the noise from the street , i would imagine when its extremely cold this would be rather unpleasant. . The bathroom, although on first look it was superb, we were looking forward to having a bath later, when we got around to it, the water pressure was very very poor, it took 20 mins to just get a couple of inches of water in the bottom of it and it was only luke warm, the shower on the other hand was excellent, hot and great pressure. The breakfast was really nice but the dining room was a little cramped , however, they were busy. The staff we encountered were nice , friendly and very attentive, really enjoyed staying there, however, I wouldnt pay the £500 per night asked for the Lily Langtree suite.

Royal Garden Hotel

Convenient location right on Kensington High Street. Surrounded by good shops and restaurants. Bus stop outside and tube station a good five minute walk . The rooms are large with plenty of space for Families , the seating are does make a difference , as do the picture windows . We overlooked the High Street , which we loved but some have views of Hyde Park-Kensington Palace is next door ! Staff were all very attentive and professional. It was a late Birthday treat and I received cake and wine to the room , which made the stay even more memorable. Breakfast was of a very high standard , with enough choice for all guests . Enjoyed the Piano bar and the entertainment on offer . Would definitely come back to the Royal Garden, it's just so well placed .

We love this Hotel, always a great welcome and friendly service. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave anything you want is no problem for the staff. The evening meals are excellent. My wife is on a low salt diet, and this was achieved without any fuss, yet she still had flavour in the meals, which is not achieved at most restaurants. Beautiful wines at reasonable prices. The servicing of our room was excellent, and discreet. Looking forward to our next visit.

The hotel was lovely! I was not able to sleep on an overnight flight and Simona helped check me in and was able to get me an earlier room available. She was absolutely wonderful and helped me through the whole process. She was the best! I didn’t have to think and she took care of everything including bags quickly. The whole staff was great! I had a fantastic Niçoise salad one day from the restaurant and it was quite excellent. Quiet and safe location with lots of areas to walk in the nice neighborhoods and Hyde park. My massage at the spa was superb! Asmaa helped coordinate everything at the spa and was very helpful. I loved the Bellaluna Venezia lotion and shower gel scents. Overall, a fantastic experience! I would stay again!
Cheval Thorney Court at Hyde Park

First of all, this hotel occupies an excellent geographical location. Hyde Park is across the road and Kensington Palace is 500 meters away. Wrap yourself in a dressing gown and go downstairs to feed the pigeons and swans. Squirrels and seagulls are not afraid of people. The hotel's suites are Among a bunch of old shabby hotels in London, it stands out from the crowd and offers excellent value for money. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from Kensington High Street. It is very convenient for eating, drinking, coffee and shopping. The most important thing is that the hotel is located in the area with the best security in London. You can also go out for a walk safely at night.

Cannot Beat the location! Everything is right outside the hotel doors. Go left there is the Underground. Go Right there is the bus stop & cab pick up! Food- Recommend walking left outside the hotel and turn another left at the corner. Restaurant row for all types of food, from pub, Italian, Indian, Tai, Chinese and even a small grocer if you want to grab a bite and bring it back to your hotel. Very Reasonable. On the main strip thoase places are extremely expensive! Breakfast- go left outside hotel- RIGHT NEXT DOOR you can have the most AMAZING breakfast made to order while you sit down outside at the cafe. Hotel- Very good- However- be aware if you do Laundry Service- It cost us $134.00 poundst o clean underwear, men's casual shirts , socks, & pants! It was 4 days worth if laundry and it cost more than a dinner out for 2! Hotel staff was ok. They are young and not fully experienced.

Our room is on ground floor, is noisy esp when we turn on the shower tap. It always stress us when bathing, it will start vibrating creating very loud sound. The temperature is so hard to adjust. Room is pathetic small with no space to open the luggage. When checking out the staff actually told us we have an outstanding of $350 which we have already fully paid through Trip.com. Ridiculous hotel, will not stay again.
