It's very convenient to walk to the US Embassy for 15 minutes. The service attitude is also very good. There are slippers and free water in the room. But the problem is that the sound insulation is very poor. I lived on the G floor and I could hear people closing and opening doors clearly, so I didn't sleep well. There is a skylight above the window, but the strange thing is that the curtain is half open and can't be closed by yourself, so the sunlight shines directly into your eyes the next morning. And the hygiene is not good. I didn't find yellow stains on the sheets until the next morning, but the rest is okay and I didn't feel it was dirty. In short, if you come here to apply for a visa, you can live here for a while, and forget about the rest.

I stayed here about three weeks after it opened.
Although some aspects of the operation were still to be established,
the staff were all kind and hardworking, and I felt comfortable there.
I look forward to staying here again once operations have settled down.

Apart from being a little expensive, this hotel is pretty good, but London hotels are all expensive!!! 2500 during the summer vacation, the room is normal size, but there is an induction cooker stovetop to cook food. It really helped a lot when I was abroad for more than 10 days. There is a tesco nearby to buy food

Lovely hotel in a great location, check in was disappointing as we arrived at 3:30 and expected to be able to go straight to our room and then go for a swim with my 8 year old grandson but no, gave us a voucher for a free drink at the bar and said come back in 30 minutes but the free drink was house wine or beer which we don’t drink so ended up with a tea 🤦♀️ went back and room still not ready but they then offered free breakfast for our stay and the nice man on reception let us in to the swimming pool which my grandson loved. Finally got into the room at 5:30ish but well worth the wait, lovely and spacious with a great view over the river. Lovely bedding and toiletries smelt divine.
Breakfast was buffet style in the ballroom and there was a great choice for all of us.
Staff were very friendly apart from those in the bar area, served our tea with no milk and then gave us hot milk after we’d asked the server and then we had to ask another server as ours had gone into serve someone else! Didn’t use the bar after that as plenty of places around to try.
Definitely would stay again as location is really good and close to some great restaurants and the tube.

The location is not absolutely central, and the tube station was 10 minutes walk, but was convenient and quiet. There were two pubs nearby for food and drinks.
The hotel reception was efficient and friendly. It was not the usual Hyatt Regency with limited facilities. The room I requested with a view of the Big Ben was amazing. However, it had a relatively small bed. The shower facilities were good and modern.

The trip was amazing, staff members at city of London hotel were amazing made us feel welcome straight away on my first day at the hotel. With warm pleasant heart always putting customers at heart.
When I got to the hotel a special rep that was representing the hotel with the name of Yan, who was the manger for the hotel, when I got there I wanted to change my hotel room this was done instant without any hesitation she and her colleague deserves great credit with respect.
The rooms were really clean and tidy this was done a daily basis I will definitely be returning to the hotel with the experience they have made me felt.
The hotel representatives deserves huge credit in the way they make customers feel at home, on my final day the representative also put my luggage in the taxi which small details goes very far.

The room is smelly when we first checked in to the room, which made the mark for cleanliness low. We didn’t expect that a hotel worth £255 per night would be smelly, but it becomes a lot better after we turned on the air conditioner and waited for a couple hours. So we didn’t complain it. This made our first impression over the hotel bad.
However, the location is quite convenient - just 1-2 stations to popular attractions e.g. Big Ben, London Eye and Westminster.
Service is so-so. Not too bad but I couldn’t feel the enthusiasm of the check-in man.
Amenities - we enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna very much. Please note that you have to book the time slot. No people were swimming in the pool so it seemed to be our private pool, which made us very happy. This is one of the selling point.
Food - we tried the room service. The food was in a good standard but I won’t order again.
Overall, it’s rare to see a 4-star hotel with swimming pool in London so it’s fine. The living cost in London made the price reasonable.

GGuest UserBe careful of being unknowingly charged with a ‘discussionary charge of tips’ (supposed to be A Conpulsory charge of tips, don’t be fool by the name, it is non-discussionary) AFTER CHECKING OUT of the hotel. I was being charged with a discussionary charge of the tips on the credit card automatically without being informed upfront after I checked out and left the hotel.
When I checked out, i was informed at the counter that they were closing their account for previous day and they would help me check out my room and email me the invoice of my stay after they finished closing account. As a result, I innocently left the hotel since I thought a 5-star hotel would not have anything gone wrong. However, I was totally wrong until I saw extra charges on my credit card while not receiving any so called invoice from the hotel at all. I then reached out to Trip.com to request for the invoice that they have promised to send to me and it was then I was informed that the extra charges were from a discussionary charge of tips. I wasn’t happy about the way this was done hence I requested for a refund for this since it clearly stated this is a DISCUSSIONARY fee, not a compulsory fee. However, I was informed that this is a Non-refundable fee and my request was denied.
Out of so many hotels I have stayed, it is unbelievable that in a 5-Star hotel, I was forced to pay something that wasn’t even being informed upfront. In addition, with the fee name suggested, it is a discussionary charge of tips NOT a compulsory charge of tips, the hotel has forced the customers to pay it as COMPULSORY CHARGE OF TIPS.
In addition, the hotel services were very inefficient and lot of rooms for improve. We ordered for an in-room meal and we were told that it would take about half an hour to deliver. Hence we waited, and until an hour later, there was no update on our meal and we had to make a call again to check for the progress of our meal. It was then we knew there was a delay in the meal. By the time we done with our meal, we made the call again to request for someone to collect the plates, we literally waited for more than an hour and had to call twice before someone came to pick up the plates.
This shouldn’t have been the service received in a 5-star hotel and the worst of all, the hotel should have more transparency in their charges and should have informed the customers on the charges upfront before the actual charging. When we signed for the amount paid for the meal, there were no statement on the discussionary charge of tips at all, and we didn’t expect there would be as we were not even informed.
It is not that we are unwilling to give the tips and we did give the tips during the stay. However, it made us very uncomfortable that we weren’t informed anything upfront and it was charged to my credit card AFTER we CHECKED OUT of THE HOTEL. It made us feeling very unsafe to provide the credit card to the hotel as they can charge whatever charges they want after checking out the hotel. In addition, it is a discussionary charge, isn’t it should be discussed before I was being charged? If not it should be called a a compulsory charge of tips.
AAndy NooGreat location close to Kings cross /St pancreas Station and not far from attractions, its 2 hotels in 1 that is predominantly used as a transit hotel for overseas tourist on day trips. The hotel is clean, and you need a room key card for the lift to move and also to get to the corridors of your room so security is good.
Downsides are that outside noise enters easily due to the old metal windows and rooms a very warm, it can be noisy throughout the night as people arrive and leave at all times. We had a room with an interconnecting door that the people in the other room tried to open at 1.30 am when they first arrived , they were also incredibly noisey shouting once awake which was at 5am due to sightseeing trips with the noise coming through the doors really easily, so it disrupted our stay . The breakfast was very good with a good selection of full English and continental foods, which set you up for the day ahead. Would we use this hotel again ....possibly
GGuest UserStay was great until I found out they took money from my bank for breakfast I didn’t take. I stated at check-in I didn’t want breakfast as I was at work early the following day.
I called the hotel for a refund, only to be told I need to send an email to the manager and they would check the cctv to ensure I didn’t attend breakfast.
Ssalaudin lunatHilton hotel Gibson Road (Sutton) an excellent place to stay. Friendly staff, parking available (not free in the compound of the property). Plus swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym. There are shopping centre near by, library, supermarkets and great places to eat. Not too far from the railway station. Excellent public transport. I highly recommend this hotel.
Ttravelling loverconvenient location with walking distance to Shepherd Bush’s Mash station and Big shopping mall Westfield.
Impressive lobby deco and good reception service. However, it should be great if there is cleaner carpet and freezer facility in the room. The phone was not working to connect room service team and I had to visit the reception in person for service request .
CChua Yuet LeeWe are stay at this wonderful hotel for one nights.
Here are our honest comments:
1) The location is convenient, just two bus stops away from Terminal 5 by the No. 423 bus.
2) The bedroom is elegant and equipped with modern facilities. It is very clean, comfortable, and comes with high-quality bottled water, tea, coffee, and cookies.
3 )The bedding is also very comfortable for sleeping.
Overall, Keep up the good work and continue to provide high-quality service at a reasonable price for your customers.
Best regards, Kit Chua Malaysia
NNacho LeeAir con pretty much only blowing hot air instead of cold air, especially during our visit. We had to change room, even hotel engineer not able to fix it.
We asked for a fan, but it took a while nothing came.
The breakfast area is too crowded although quite a lot of selections.
Good walking distance to Westfield
AAnonymous UserRoom & bathroom are tiny.. just nice for the bed, not much space left for the luggage..
location is great, near Paddington station walking distance to Hyde park.
AAnonymous UserThe location is quite convenient. The room for 3 people (2 beds) is okay, not too small, and not too dirty. Shower room is a bit small but clean. There is a kitchen, microwave and sink. Overall I’m good with this stay.
AAngelI am writing to provide feedback on our recent stay at your hotel. While the location was excellent, we found that the hotel itself was in need of some improvements.
Firstly, I would like to highlight the positive aspect of our stay, which was the great location of the hotel. It was conveniently situated near various attractions and amenities, allowing us to easily explore the area. This was definitely a major advantage during our visit.
However, we were disappointed with the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the hotel. The rooms appeared to be in need of a deep cleansing, as there were noticeable stains on the carpets and walls. Additionally, the furniture and fixtures seemed worn out and outdated. A fresh coat of paint and new beds would greatly enhance the overall appearance and comfort of the rooms.
Furthermore, we found the lack of a welcoming lobby person to be quite disappointing. Upon arrival, we were not greeted or assisted by any staff members. This lack of hospitality made us feel unwelcome and left a negative impression.
In conclusion, while the location of the hotel was excellent, we believe that improvements are necessary to enhance the overall guest experience. A thorough cleaning, along with updates to the rooms and furniture, would greatly improve the comfort and aesthetics of the hotel. Additionally, having a friendly and welcoming lobby person would contribute to a more positive and enjoyable stay.
P.S. positive side- I truly appreciate the staff at the hotel who made the effort to move us to a more convenient floor. Additionally, it's always a pleasant experience when the breakfast lady is friendly and accommodating.
