The resort is beautiful! The pools are amazing and the staff is super friendly! The breakfast is western and local buffet.

This resort is misrepresented in Trip.com. It is old and tired, and is nowhere near 5 star quality. I was so surprised by the lack of quality and detail of the grounds, and the room is completely misrepresented. It is very basic and bland with poor, cheap furniture, and overlooks construction and total trash right next to the building. There is an odd smell in the building and room that I can’t describe. The rooms are so old they are still using keys to open the door. The beach is awful and not maintained. I actually went back to the desk and happily gave up my room and the non-refundable cost of it and moved into the city, after about 30 minutes of walking and deciding what to do. Mactan Island is not a destination area.
The staff was very gracious. I can’t blame them for poor management.

We stayed at Tambuli Resort for 4 nights and I must say that the services provided exceeded our expectations. From the customer service representatives at the reception, housekeeping, concierge and all staff at Cafe Hojas did their best to make our stay very comfortable and felt welcomed. A special thanks to Kevin at Cafe Hojas and Martin at concierge who did their best looking after us during our stay.
We booked a Queen studio room which facing a swimming pool. However, we were assigned to a room which facing a courtyard and there were construction/renovations racks temporarily built on our balcony. We requested to change our room to a swimming pool view and the receptionist was quite accommodating after spoken to their manager on duty.
The studio room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is located at Lapu Lapu city and we got access to shopping mall and restaurant (LG Garden Walk and Shang's Place) by Grab.
The downsize of this hotel was there was no night swimming at the main pool (closed at 6pm). However, the smaller pool with swim up bar was opened until 10pm.
Even though the hotel was located at the beach front, we can't really swim at the beach due to rogue wave at all time and filled with mud.

Clean and organized. The only downside is that none of the lobby or the front desk area are air-conditioned so it might feel a bit hot in those areas. The pools are amazing (not deep though). They have great breakfast and pizzas which were worth a try. The rooms are okay but the furnitures might feel a bit flimsy. The staff are friendly and cordial and the overall service is great.
Would definitely come back here for the same price that I booked.

I visited with my friends and the hotel was very clean and the swimming pool was very well maintained. The staff working in this hotel were very friendly and the fantastic welcome drink was also very very nice !
