RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto

Nice staff with efficient check-in and check-out procedures. Although it is just around 10-15mins walk between the hotel and Kyoto Station, I like that the hotel provides shuttle bus service every 20mins which offers a better choice for us to escape from the hot weather.

Service is absolutely amazing.. stuff are friendly and very accommodating.The location is an easy access to everything..10 minutes walk to kyoto station and malls, but you can ride a shuttle bus going to kyoto station or coming back to hotel as part of their amenities.

It is a very nice hotel with attentive staff! The hotel is about a 7 minutes walk from Kyoto station. It’s a very convenient place to stay if you’re catching an early train or arriving from a late one. I don’t know if I’d recommend it for a longer stay since the area is quite boring. There’s plenty of restaurants and shops within the station but they’re very crowded and more expensive. It’s also quite far away from the main sights of Kyoto, so for a longer stay I’d recommend staying downtown. The included room amenities are good but nothing special. There’s shaving kits, towels, haircare, skincare, tea, water, and yukata robes (the robes are not souvenirs). There’s a pool, a spa area, and a restaurant, which all have an additional fee. My room was clean, but I found some scuff marks on the walls and a crack in my bathtub. From Kyoto station you can see Kyoto tower but it’s not an amazing sight hahaha. It takes about 25 minutes to downtown Kyoto from the hote

The hotel is near the main train station. But to go for sightseeing, market and shopping district, would need to take public bus to get there as it is not located near any of them.

Good location, the hotel is clean and room is big. There are two restaurants for breakfast which one is at the ground floor beside the lobby and one is at the roof top. Suggest to have breakfast at the roof top with very good Kyoto city view. There is free shuttle bus from Kyoto train station to the hotel every day.
