HOTEL ELCIENT KYOTO HACHIJOGUCHI

We took the bus from Osaka Kansai Airport, and it dropped us off right across from the hotel, which was incredibly convenient. The hotel has an main building and a new annex. The new annex has a free public bath on the second floor; you need your room key to enter, and women also have an additional code. After a day of exploring, the public bath was our favorite place to relax every evening. The lobby offers complimentary DHC basic skincare products, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. I especially loved their cleansing oil and facial cleanser. The POLA toiletries provided in the public bath were also excellent. Breakfast was extensive, with staff guiding you to your table. I particularly enjoyed the udon noodles, pancakes, natto, and croissant sandwiches, though some of the machines were old, and the beverage machine was often out of order. The room was small but clean and tidy, with daily complimentary mineral water. Trash was sorted into three categories. The hotel is only a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, making it very convenient to get anywhere.

The hotel is conveniently located right by Kyoto Station, very close by, with two convenience stores downstairs. Transportation is a breeze. The front desk service was excellent; both luggage storage and check-in went smoothly. Some front desk staff can speak Chinese. The room size is decent. My 28-inch suitcase, when fully opened in the entrance hallway, left no room to walk. However, the room facilities are complete and comfortable. The hotel has a public bath (onsen). You can wear/bring the yukata and towels provided in your room and go there in your room slippers. The onsen is divided into male and female baths. At the entrance, there are vending machines and manga available for reading. There's a designated area to take off your shoes, with shoe lockers and combination lock shoe lockers, along with instructions on how to use them. The male bath has one large hot pool, one small cold pool, and another small pool. There's a wall with washbasins and a dry sauna room. The hot pool's water temperature was fine, and the water was clean as it's a circulating pool. The overall hotel style is simple, with a reasonable layout and complete facilities. Self check-in/check-out, vending machines, self-service washing machines, and self-service ice makers are all available.
