The room was spacious enough and very comfortable. The hinoki cypress bath smelled amazing, it was the best! Plus, there was a sake lounge where I could enjoy many different varieties. 🙌

Really well located, beautifully appointed hotel

Super duper love this hotel! There’s free flow sake till 9pm daily. We stayed there for 6 nights and enjoyed sake almost every night. We even bought a box of sake when we checked out :) The room was big and comfy. There’s a washing machine inside the room, very convenient. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Kyoto next time 🙂

It was very quiet and comfortable. The bath was lovely, and it made for a wonderful memory!

Enjoyed the free flow sake that is available at night till 9pm, able to enjoy back in the room No breakfast provided but it’s 6 mins walk (straight road) to Nishiki market Rooms are well lit, clean and spacious Thankful for the washer/dryer in room

Wonderful experience ~ we like living inside a museum. Traditional architecture combine with new elements. We booked two types of room but every room had a washing machine with dry cloth function. Nice staff provide us 5-star service~ better than some 5-star hotel. Great location which provides us shopping, food and sightseeing within walking distance. The most important thing is keep us out of busy and noisy areas. We found so many local people come to this area on weekends. We feel safe and really enjoy stay close with local people. Close to metro station, just 5-10mins walk from hotel.

Nice hotel, very satisfied.

Booked the Round bathtub room. Room was well designed & had a great time soaking in the Hiba wood bathtub. Enjoyed the pretty water light reflection on the ceiling while soaking the stress away. Really loved the woody scent of their shampoo/body wash that I bought a bottle home with me! Really enjoyed the traditional atmosphere & machiya front desk of the hotel as well. The 5-7mins walk (almost 2-3 street intersections) to the nearest metro station (Karasuma Oike) was worth it to make it to this beautiful hotel. Will be coming back to stay again!
