Very beautiful and lovely house🫡, it has an excellent geographical location, if you want to experience the traditional Japanese style of accommodation please come here, this is a place full of cat elements, with human touch, the landlord is very warm, before leaving Kyoto I touched his lovely cat🐱, I hope to come again next time！！🥰🥰

Old style Japanese house . Far from station but took 10mnt walk to Ninenzaka . Facilities just ok . Water heater suddenly stop when I’m using on midnight 😂

For such a price it’s a sin to complain about anything. Great for an overnight stay. Located near Gion, an old picturesque area, and a street with a huge number of shops. The manager is a very nice person, he explained everything, told where and how to go.

Traditional Japanese-style room, comfortable, clean and tidy. You can walk to many popular attractions, and the location is convenient. For tourists traveling alone like me, it is a good place to stay, and the cost performance is very high. Town House Meow Meow is also very cute! !

It was my first time to stay alone, but I could feel the kindness of the owner, the a**osphere where I could talk to him whenever I was in trouble, and his love for his cat, Tama-chan. I will stay again 🐈‍⬛

有些歷史的木質老房子，房間不大，對住宿要求不高的可以考慮。離三條京阪地鐵站、衹園都很近。旅社裡的奶牛貓很可愛，幸運的話會跑到房間裏來玩。

This property is definitely not for everyone. The stairs to the bedrooms are VERY steep and going up and down to use the bathroom which is located on the first floor is problematic--particularly in the middle of the night. There are two traditional double beds on platforms in one of the rooms upstairs and the other room has two thin mattress pads on the floor. I realize this may be traditional but nonetheless it's very uncomfortable and we found that after a day of walking nonstop it was not an appealing end to the day. The bathroom had some bugs and the kitchen is awful. The price is quite high for what you get.

Host was very nice and accomodating. Let us borrow umbrellas when it rained, we were able to check in early after arriving in Kyoto early.

- Hotel was centralled located and host was helpful. - Rooms were small. - Asking for 100 yens to have a towel is bad look.

I had the bottom floor japanese room with a little garden and it was a pleasure to sleep in

Kiraku Inn was a wonderful place to reside at for 3 nights in Kyoto. It was easy to get to from Kyoto Station with the bus 206 from the terminal right outside the station (alight after seeing Yasaka Shrine). Mr Kazo is a cat lover and a black and white senior cat is a resident at the inn. What's more is that the interior is decorated with cat images and figurines, even the signs that tell you to turn off the lights have cats doodled on them which puts a smile on your face. There is a mix of normal bed and traditional futon beds to choose from (we stayed in a 2 futon bed room), which is equipped with the necessities like charging ports and a tv we didnt need to use. Towels and pyjamas are provided with a small fee, which is used to supplement the cat's food. Washing machine and dryer is also located conveniently outside the bathroom (200 yen for washing 300 yen for dryer). It is a short walk (10-15min) to Gion where more food and night life is available. Highly recommended for animal lovers, simple living, and a peaceful stay. Thank you Mr Kazo and Tama the cat!

We had a wonderful 3 days at Shirakawa Kiraku Inn. The man who runs it is very helpful and has a very chill cat named Tama. He sent our bags to our next hotel and helped us find a pharmacy. It’s located in a historic district with beautiful streets, and in walking distance to shrines, temples, the best shopping and dining. Also we stayed at a very expensive Ryokan the following week and the futons were not as comfortable as here :))

It was a nice and cozy, great host!

For a Kyoto Trip, it was perfect :)
