Looks OK from outside. Looks can be very deceiving however. We were advised when we booked they only had single rooms available and as we had been let down by calmac at the last moment, we were desperate and booked 2 single rooms. When we arrived we were met by a woman standing at a table outside the reception area, strange, she explained they had no bar, no food nothing. When we went to our 2 single rooms we were met with 2 double rooms. We dropped our stuff in 1 room and went down stairs to question the 2 rooms we were charged for. However the woman had disappeared. Never to be seen for the rest of our 1 night stay. We found food and drink locally without an issue. When we went back to the rooms, we noticed the long dark narrow corridor which was very badly lit, almost dangerous, every 2nd light had no bulb, ceiling tiles were missing or hanging loose. In the rooms the beautiful view was ruined by condensation between the double glazed units, mould was present around the window frame and the curtains didn't meet over the window. The windows didn't open, so the smell of dampness was very noticeable. On check out we, along with everyone else were just leaving our room keys on a table in the foyer, again no staff. A few days later I left a review similarly to this on a review site. This along with any other negative reviews were responded to by the owner. Her tone was not only aggressive but laced with denial and blaming the guests for there bad experience. She must feel that she has to defend her money making machine which is a magnet for gullable tourist heading for Skye and beyond. How else will she pay for her flash 4x4 Jaguar car. This image, attitude and shabby accommodation does nothing but show Scotland in a very negative way. Avoid this sorry excuse for a Hotel, or guest house which ever it is. The signs on the build says its a hotel but the woman drives it into you at check on that it isn't a hotel but a guest house .
