Unmatched service, delicious food, beautiful vistas and a plethora of in-house activities - Kumarakom lake resort is a haven in nature. The resort turned out to be more than I had expected, in every area. A must visit for a relaxed peaceful getaway.

Overall a great experience. Fabulous location. Beautiful property. Located on banks of the mighty Vembanad lake, which is second largest lake in India. Special mention to resort staff Mr Kavi, Ms Monisha and Mr Vishnu Nath for making the stay memorable and enjoyable. Special feedback - Air conditioning needs to be maintained well. We had to change our Heritage Lake view pool villa. Such inconvenience can be avoided by ensuring pre allotment checks.

Beautiful location of a hotel in front of lake. Very friendly staff. Excellent sunset cruise, Excursions through hotel front desk are expensive. Nice cottages . Beautiful grounds. excellent entertainment director who is a great photographer.

Our welcome was pretty laid back compared to some other hotels, however that was until we were handed over to Ashwati to show us to our room. What a delightful young lady she is. Professional, friendly and highly knowledgeable with a lovely sense of humour. She constantly sought us out each time we walked past reception to make sure everything was going smoothly and to see if she could help. Our room was beautiful and large and had access to the meandering pool which was great. The only feedback we would give is that the storage space was not great and there seemed to be a lot of wasted space. More bench space with drawers underneath would have been better. Food was excellent both at breakfast and dinner and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Ashwar( apologies if spelt wrong) was another super helpful and friendly guy who couldn’t do enough for us at both breakfast and dinner. The manager was very kind and arranged our breakfast early before an early start for the airport. We did the sunset cruise which was nice but the *** who spoke on the loudspeaker spoke much too fast and hence we didn’t hear any of the information given. Apart from that a truly wonderful stay and we wished we had stayed longer. Thanks again to all the wonderful staff especially Ashwati and Ashwar.

This is a gorgeous resort but we rented the houseboat for 2.5 days. The crew could not have been more attentive and helpful to our needs. This was a very relaxing break in our 30 days of touring North and South India. The scenery is interesting ***** the backwaters and you stop at a few places that are not on the beaten path. One church was started in 427 AD. The food was excellent and the rooms large and comfortable. Rooms and the dining area are air condtioned.

Had a one night stay on the Backwaters. The three staff on board were excellent, very helpful pointing out all the wild life around us. We saw otters, kingfishers and also turtles. The chef prepared lunch and dinner for us whilst on the boat. The dishes served were probably the best we had in Kerala. We also had the whole boat to ourself and so relaxing!

Charming property with a lots of small touches. Amazing staff. Great ayuvrdic spa treatments. The pictures say it all. My kids said this was our most relaxing and de-stressing trip they have had with us. There is quick experience encompassing an evening sunset cruise that is complimentary.
