The Aeolos Beach Hotel

My wife and my 23 year old daughter has just spent 6 days here. It’s been a mixed bag for sure. I did initially write a less complementary review on here on day 2 and this was picked up by the management and I attended a meeting with 4 of them in the Managers office. They all showed concern and appeared to try and address my concerns to be fair. Firstly, this hotel has potential to be very good. We all agreed it is more of a 3* than a 4* feel overall. It’s small or silly things that make you think this. GOOD POINTS Our superior bungalow was one of the recent updated ones and was great inside. That was a 4* feel. Shame the maid wasn’t the best and would leave things not done ie cups left in bathroom or no replacement of coffee/tea items. I’d told the management there were 3 of us so why have we got just 2 cups? That was never dealt with. Overall our accommodation was great. The Beach Restaurant was a ten times better experience to eat as the main dining room is very dated and average. The sea view is outstanding at the beach restaurant. Food was generally ok but limited choice and on the repetitive side. Salads were great. Desserts no labels so had to guess what they were. We got upgraded to the premium pool which is beautiful and quiet, well kept clean pool. This normally only comes with Premium Bungalows. Definitely a 4* experience. POOR The gardens lacked a proper gardening team and sprinkler system for the vast lawns. Big potential to have beautiful gardens here with some TLC. Grass was not kept cut and looked untidy with ****s and baron looking in place. This would definitely give the place a huge lift aesthetically. Drinks I’d say average for AI but not to have bottles of water from bar was a bit mean in a hot climate. Better communication channels between the whole of the staff would be advisable too. The location is out on its own hence why it needs the upgrades to give a lovely 4* experience everywhere on the site. Bus into Kos Town is a must to get out for the evening. €2 into Kos Town, €1.50 back per person. Air conditioned buses very good. Advise you keep sat nav on to see where your stop is on the way back as it’s pitch black. Generally it’s been a pleasant holiday but definitely not one I’d return too because so many other hotel do it better.

AVOID - STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!!!!!!! Apon arrival it went from bad to worse! We arrived in middle of night and was greeted by rude staff who wouldn’t even give me a bottle of water to take medication, we was handed a stale triangle of a sandwich which had been left out uncovered so was hard a brick! We arrived to room which we had a superior bungalow with sea view which was just ok, view was pretty but that is about it! When we went down for breakfast few hour later we was shocked to find very little choice and even found a hair in our food, not impressed!!!! We was told that you could get burgers from pool bar which was clearly stated on menu on bar to be told they are not doing them and we could purchase a toastie for 3euros which was dry!!! Staff were extremely rude, apart from poolside bar staff! Our room was only cleaned 4/7 days, to which we also had to request more toilet roll! Make sure you take cash if u want to waste your money on this dump as card machine in shop NEVER works! We also found hair in our dinner too, don’t worry, I will attach pictures! You would be CRAZY to waste your money here! So many people was complaining and some even moved hotels when we was there! We also no they are deleting bad reviews as 2 people we met there left a review while we was with them which we physically saw and now it has disappeared! The jet2 rep I felt so sorry for her as EVERYONE was complaining! Just overall stay away from here!!! Get charged for bottle water, coffees and hot chocolate. And no life guard for 5 days out of 7!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!

The Aeleos beach hotel in Kos was absolutely Beautiful. The room was very spacious with everything that you would expect at home. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel it has a lot to offer and immaculate inside the hotel and rooms with a beach view large pool for adults and a smaller pool for children and a jacuzzi along with outdoor bar and entertainment. The only thing I would like to mention to Aeleous beach hotel is about the adult pool I found I could not use the pool due to disabilities the steps leading down into the pool are to small for people with disabilities to climb down and up maybe have some concrete steps that are wider and helpful to lower down people with disabilities other than that my time in your hotel and Kos was fantastic

What a lovely clean hotel, all the staff work hard to please, always greeted with a smile and nothing is too much trouble, bar staff friendly and reception ready with a good morning or hello and to check your enjoying your stay, we were a bit early in season so the beach grill wasn't open which was a shame as looked nice, the only negative really was a lack of entertainment in the evenings as nothing close by to venture too without a need for a taxi but they're reasonably priced €12 euro to Kos Town (there is a bus during the day which I think was €2 or €3), we stayed in the superior bungalow which opens into a sea view and were modern and cleaned every day.

Lovely views, good food (I've never seen potatoes cooked in so many delicious ways),comfortable room (the rooms are exceptionally well soundproofed) and the staff are wonderful: cheerful, courteous, very helpful and efficient. Great holiday.

The hotel is very clean and the manager was always around to check on things and ask guests if everything is ok which I thought was lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a room in the main building which was lovely. Very modern and clean with a beautiful view of the mountains. Very relaxing. The negatives are it’s very isolated so had to hire a quad as taxis were expensive as quite far away from everything and the buses weren’t working as it was over their Easter holidays. The bus wasn’t that regular either so made it very difficult. Not great for kids as not much to do. Hardly any evening entertainment and not much good when there was. The food wasn’t great. Not much choice, luke warm and very salty . Not much taste to a lot of it. Bread and rolls were stale . Drinks were not much better as there wasn’t much choice and they were all watered down . If you wanted a latte or cappuccino or any other drinks off the menu then you have to pay. It has put us off going all inclusive again as has to eat out a lot as couldn’t bring ourselves to eat in the restaurant. Kos town and local towns are lovely and a beautiful place to visit. The hotel was lovely but wouldn’t go back . Not much of a beach so had to go to next town where there are plenty of beaches and sun loungers .

We have literally just returned from a 2 week holiday at the Aeolos beach front hotel, lambi, Kos. IT WAS AMAZING!!!! We had the prestige package which guaranteed sea and pool view (but to be honest any location on the resort offers an incredible view), with each room your sun beds and brolly are reserved for you, so you never have to fight for a sun lounger, our bungalow was very modern and spacious with a beautiful rain shower and large outside balcony looking out onto those incredible views, that along with the beach restaurant with lots of different foods to choose from i.e.Greek, English, Italian etc., and certainly not forgetting the amazing sunsets every single night during our stay, unforgettable memories we have bought home with us. l have to mention all the staff, they were all so welcoming from the receptionists to the young lady in the Supermarket who went above and beyond to try and get what you needed if they didn’t stock in the supermarket, the restaurant staff always greeting you with a smile and not forgetting the wonderful bar staff who always pleasant to be around, all in all the holiday was amazing so much so we are going to re book straight away for next year, l can honestly say we have travelled to a lot of places over the years and stayed at some wonderful destinations but absolutely nothing compares to Greece and the people, thank you Aeolos for a wonderful holiday, see you 2024

We have just got back from a 9 night stay at the Aeolos Beach Hotel. We had a lovely time! The site itself is picturesque, the sunset veiw from the beach is stunning. We had a premium room which comes with two reserved sunbeds and a brolly round the quiet pool. Our room was clean and bright and literally seconds from the pool and the sea! The staff are all very welcoming, with a special mention for the young man who works the pool bar in the evening, very friendly and funny! The food is hot buffet style, I am a picky eater, but found something to my taste each meal we ate there. The hotel is about 4km away from Kos town and there is a bus stop at the end of the road that runs all day and into the evening for 2 euro each way. All in all we were looking for a quite, relaxing holiday with a bit of sight seeing, and this hotel provided that. I would definitely visit again.

We’ve just returned from Kos and this hotel this evening and even though we have lots of things we don’t like about this hotel we’ve fallen in love with Kos itself. We stayed for a week and can say on arrival we found the room dirty and can safely say everyday the room wasn’t cleaned and the beds were made but not changed once. The shower and bathroom were filthy on arrival and remained the same all week. We didn’t have much interaction with the staff in the hotel as we didn’t eat there other than lunch ok arrival and a breakfast the next morning. We worked up a big spend but managed to eat at some absolutely beautiful places all over the island. The food in this hotel is absolute awful and I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying here and going all inclusive as it’s just like a rushed canteen. The hotel rooms other than being dirty are actually fine and we had a beautiful view over the sea. The pool area is also nice and we liked it a lot and very easy to get beds but guessing this was due to the time of year. We’ll return to the island next year but will look for somewhere more luxurious
