Amazing staff Great location Very nice and quiet

Amazing retreat experience. Beach plus jungle vibes in one go :)

We've stayed at many resort hotels in Thailand, and we had really disappointing experience with this one that we planned to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is located halfway up a hillside with pretty much nothing around, and they promote doing nothing and just enjoying the hotel, which was our plan. When we checked into the room, we tried to lay on the sofa and found that the sofa and cushions smelled really bad, like some disgusting sweaty smell. We informed the reception about it, and they said they would fix it. So, we decided to go to the beach, but the sand was rocky, making it impossible to walk on, and the sea was very wavy too. We then moved to the swimming pool to try and enjoy ourselves, but the staff started washing the floor with a very noisy machine right around the pool. With no usable sofa, walkable beach, or swimming pool we could enjoy ourselves, we went out for dinner and hoped to at least have a hot bath when we returned. When we got back, we discovered that staff had taken away the cushion that smelled the most disgusting, maybe changed the cushion covers, but the sofa itself still smelled bad. We couldn't sit on it without putting fresh towels on it. It was already quite late, and my husband took a shower, but when it was my turn, there was no hot water. So, we couldn't have the hot bath we were looking forward to. The hot tub was actually one of the reasons we booked this hotel. The hotel said they would send an engineer to check, but it was late, and we really didn't want to spent our holiday to keep fixing problems. Another day, while we wanted to get some milk from the fridge for coffee, we found that the milk had already been opened by the previous guest. We informed the manager at the front desk again about the smelly sofa, and she responded that they had already changed the cushion covers. Alright then. Guess that’s the best they could do? There were other issues as well, such as calling for the buggy and them forgetting our order, so we ended up waiting for 15 minutes in the dark at the hotel entrance. We were accidentally locked out on the balcony just by sliding the door closed (housekeeping said the lock had a problem and easily dropped down to lock the door). The phone in the room wasn't working. The fragrance in the room was too strong and gave us headaches. The hairdryer was very weak, and there was no speaker in the room, etc. Our stay was frustrating, and we couldn't enjoy the hotel even a tiny bit. Anniversary celebration was ruined. We thought we could trust the standards of a Banyan Tree hotel.

We stayed at the Garrya Tongsai for 4 nights as part of a relaxation trip. The property is located along a hill with most room balconies facing towards the sea. The property has a good green cover and provides amazing views of the bay. The staff were always smiling and ready to help. Things that were a bit disappointing for the property. The private beach is just pebbles and no sand. During our entire stay, we went to the resort beach only on the first day. Rest of the time, we went outside to the nearby Choengmon beach which is nice and quiet with a sandy beach and great to swim. Also, the pools feel a bit dated compared to other resorts. The rooms were ok but felt slightly small. Not the fanciest but acceptable. Also, the tub is placed on the balcony and fully visible from the pool. Not a big problem, but please keep in mind. We told the staff and after a bit back and forth, they put up a screen to give some privacy. The breakfast, we felt had limited options and the spread did not change much during our stay. The options, especially the local Thai food was lacking any spice or flavour. Also, the fresh fruit lacked much flavours - maybe due to seasonal variations. However, the staff was very friendly and cared for us well. Also, one thing to consider - the property is located on a hill and getting around requires buggies which hotel staff are happily able to provide. However, we felt that it prevented us from being too independent. Also, we had rented a car and the parking is a bit far away. We spent most of the time outside the property as we did not feel that our needs were met by the resort and had to depend On going outside for beach, food etc. Please note that we had already stayed elsewhere for the first half and had hoped for a resort vacation during the final 4 nights which we did not get. A bit disappointed overall.

Me and my brother visit there once and it still remarkable the view is insane, I booked Beachfront Suite Seaview Double Room stay with my brother. what I really like there is the bathtub with sea view that's the gimmick right there tho. Room service are nice, gym's equipment are nice and they got sea view in that room too. Everything is perfect from front to back. Go there, Samui is waiting. Be there or be square B)

Wry nice hotel with great food, service, beach and ocean view

The hotel was perfect except that it was very windy and rainy and we couldn't swim on the beach on the day we checked in. Thunder at the front desk of the hotel received us very warmly, and every staff member was super nice. Moreover, the hotel has many free activities that you can participate in~ The water sports were stopped due to bad weather during the day, but we still enjoyed tennis and nature walk. The view point view is worth getting up early~ The hotel guide told us on the way to the view point Due to neglect during the epidemic, 75 rooms need to be renovated, so there are very few guests now. Even though Samui is full during the Spring Festival, you can still find peace here~ The restaurant at fishtale for dinner is super, super, super delicious! Because it was our anniversary, the guest room was decorated and lovely desserts were given for breakfast the next day.

The environment is good, and the breakfast is more Thai-style. Well, the environment is like a small garden, with rich and colorful content, and the service staff are also very kind. In short, it is a good place, very quiet in the bustle.

There is nothing around. Taxi rides in Koh Samui are very expensive, but there are motorcycle rentals 500 meters away. For safety reasons, we did not rent one. Eating in a hotel is not cheap. The hotel is located on the outskirts, the entrance to the sea is not sand, but shell rock. The rooms are tired, all the floors are creaking! There is no point in taking a room with a pool since the water is not boiling (April). Breakfast is also so-so, the only good thing is that they make fresh juices! In general, it’s doubtful that the Luhari hotel is how they position themselves.

Beautiful facility, great service, breakfast buffet is not of European luxury standard, but very good compared to many other facilities. Very nice view and location in its own bay.
