Elewana Loisaba Tented Camp

My family and I recently were lucky enough to spend a couple of nights here. It was nothing but lovely. The people, the food and the views were as good as it gets. Every meal was delicious and if you have dietary restrictions they have excellent options. Everyone that I met during my stay grew a place in my heart and leaving the camp was not easy. The guides are very knowledgeable and also are a lot of fun. If you have the opportunity to stay here I highly recommend.

Loisaba Tented Camp is a must visit while on safari in Kenya. The staff is incredible- Zed, Judy, Tabitha, Suyleman, Pemba, chef Steve- THANK YOU! Beautiful tents, 2 stunning pools, food and beverage service which is top notch. There were so many surprises from the staff like sundowners, bush breakfast, romantic private dinner and little gifts left in our tent. Our guide Soloman was also amazing! We had so much fun with him and saw lions, a leopard, a rhino, lots of elephants, giraffes, impalas, hyenas, etc. I highly recommend Loisaba Tented camp!

The perfect combination of exquisite facilities, excellent food and great service (thanks to Pemba and the rest of the staff for taking such good care of us), wonderful location with fantastic wildlife viewing (lions, cheetah, leopards, rhinos, hippos, impalas, gazelle, pumbas, hyenas, uncountable birds and more). We had a truly great guide, Bashir, who was indeed a great communicator and educator. He generously shared his knowledge and worked very hard to assure we saw everything there was to see, all while having fun; through him, we came away with a broader, more holistic understanding of the environment we were experiencing. We enjoyed the variety of Sundowners in different formats, and a walking safari one day. Didn’t get to try the camel or horseback safaris (maybe next time), but the Kudu visited with us by the pool several times.

A wonderful place to stay. We have seen leopards, cheetahs, lions and many more on game drives from here. There are spectacular views across the landscape from the camp, with beautiful large tented rooms & dining area. The food is incredibly good. Everywhere is very clean & well kept. But above all such warm hospitality and care from everyone working here.

The Elewana Loisaba Camp is a 5 star, 5 diamond level of experience. The service is impeccable and staff is attentive, hospitable and generous. Mr Wright, who is the manager of the Camp was always checking on us to be sure we were enjoying ourselves. Benson was the perfect guide for our family. He ensured we were in the best places at the right moments to see as much as possible, and provided a great bit of education about the habitats and the the animals. Plus he has a great sense of humor! We had such a grand time. The camp itself is idyllically situated on a plateau with spectacular views across the landscape. And the tents are high end luxury. We were certainly relaxed and comfortable. A stay at Loisaba should be a must for safari travelers.

If you have a family and want to experience Northern Kenya with some unique experiences, Loisaba Tented Camp is your go to place. The set up of the camp is just unbelievable with each tent having amazing views of the valley and conservancy. It has a swimming pool so you can relax during the day before you engage on activities such as Camel rides, mountain biking, guided walk, horse riding or a game drive. The food is exceptional and they cater for all dietary requirements provided that you have informed the camp well in advance. We definitely recommend this camp for family safaris!

This was the 4th Elewana camp we were visiting so our expectations were extremely high and all of them were surpassed! We had a beautiful tent on a cliff edge with a water hole in sight and the wild plains of Laikipia stretching out as far as Mt Kenya! This was truly Kenyan bush at its best. Everything in the camp was beautiful, the tent, the pools and the delicious food & excellent service. My husband is vegetarian & enjoyed every dish and I loved the wide choice, special mention for the delicious soups, grapefruit/spinach salad, pork belly & unique masala tea panacotta. Marie-Claire & Mark were superb hosts with a passion for the region, the chef & all his team were experts & friendly as were all the staff. Our game drives were incredible, thanks to Simion, an experienced ranger who guided our driver to many wonderful sightings including lions, leopard & elephants as well as birds. For those who want to get closer to nature, bike rides & horse riding are available too, we saw some guests out on a bike ride which looked like so much fun. Thank you so much to everyone at Loisaba for a wonderful stay, it was truly an unforgettable, magical trip.

This was the first of 3 Elewana camps we stayed at. It had amazing views and the pools were great. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Barnabus was the staff member in charge of taking care of us and he did an amazing job. There was 8 of us and he did everything to make sure our stay was top notch. It was great. He woke up early to make sure we had our special coffees and treats before we took off on safari. Our bush breakfasts were simply devine and the bush bars for sundowners were extra special. The food was really good. We really enjoyed our stay. We were met at the landing ***** by our guides and they gave us a great history lesson of the conservancy. It was great to learn. Solomon was our guide and he was great. Loved his energy and we got to go see his tribal village. That was a great learning experience and worth the time. Loved that we got to see his relative walking down the dirt road with his friends walking some cows as a dowry to his future brides family. It was just so great to see how they live and dress and how happy they were. I live in a tourist town and it’s so disappointing when visitors take the local culture for granted and never see how they live or take the time to learn about it. . So this was a great opportunity to learn about the culture of another country. I appreciate that this was offered.

We started our african adventure with three nights at Elewana Tented Camp. What a treat! It is hard to imagine that we could have a better experience anywhere (this is my 4th trip to Kenya)! From the moment we arrived we were treated with the utmost kindness, and warm hospitality. Zed leads a team of 40 that are obviously well trained, but more importantly, they are each genuinely sweet natured. Our guide, (the wise and so very funny) Salomon was exceptional. Each drive was different, yet memorable for various reasons. Toti, the bartender/server is a treasure - he quickly learns every guests preference and makes everything possible. We thought the meals were delicious! The chef prepares tasty and healthy dishes that are varied and beautifully presented. We are celebrating our 25th anniversary (we actually spent our honeymoon in Kenya) and the last night will remain a special memory. They prepared a candlelight dinner under the stars for us. After dinner, we heard the staff parading through the dining room singing a song. At first, I was so disappointed to be missing their performance. Then, as they surrounded our table, I realized they were serenading us! Zed's sweet words of congratulations had me in tears. This is a very special place - one not to be missed!
