Residence Inn Grand Rapids Downtown

Hotel is very nice! This was my 2nd stay and I was very pleased with it. Hotel location is perfect if you’re going to an event at the Van Andel Arena. Rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. The only downside is the parking garage. It’s often full and you’re not guaranteed a spot in it even if you’re staying at the hotel. $30 per night for the parking garage. Other than that, this hotel is great!

This is probably the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The location is perfect if you're going to Van Andel Arena and the breakfast is excellent.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was lovely and clean, the only thing I had an issue with was the state of the pullout couch. It was easy enough to put together with the bedding and all, but there were a lot of sharp parts near the edges that could be a danger to guests. Case in point, I scratched my leg on the couch climbing into the bed at night, bad enough that the cut is still healing a week later and I'll probably have a scar. Fortunately I can trust the cleanliness of the room as the wound did not get infected, but I think it would help if these beds were checked and maybe sharp bits were sanded down.

We had a very enjoyable stay in Grand Rapids. The hotel was perfectly located for short walks to GLC Live and Van Andel, where we had concerts to attend. We loved the additional space this hotel provides within each room compared to the other hotels downtown as well as how convenient it is to walk to restaurants and local shops. We’ve stayed before and we will definitely stay at the Residence Inn downtown GR again!

Super awesome hotel! Beautiful view out our window, very very friendly staff and was surprised that the free breakfast was soo yummy! Will stay again, we loved it.

In the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, right across from Van Andel and so much fun! Loved our king suite and kitchenette. Staff was amazing!

View from the 10th floor in the panoramic view room was incredible. Felt VERY premium! Other comments talk about the parking situation- we just parked in a regular parking ramp instead of the hotel's and paid as we left the next morning. It was very easy and not a big deal at all. If you're seeing a concert at Van Andel or 20 Monroe Live this is definitely the hotel to pick. It's literally right across the street. The room itself was wonderful. Temperature in the room went down to 66F at the lowest, but felt cool enough all night (as people that usually keep their heat set at 62F). The bathroom was beautiful, shower included shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The bed was average- not great, not bad. The pillows and blankets were lovely though! I hope everyone enjoys this place as much as we did.

Probably the best location you can get downtown for events, still new and very clean. Prices are competitive, definitely worth a stay if you aren’t doing Amway or JW which are $100 more
