Jambo jambo! Couples trip 5th Jan- 15th Jan 2024. All inclusive. My experience at this hotel with the customer service from the staff made this holiday one of the best I've ever had! Slight delay in review as I wanted to give it the justice it deserves. Room: The limited sea view is very limited, but this resort is on the beach so if you want sea view, you can take the short walk approx 5 mins down to the beach and have all the beautiful sea view you want. The rooms are cleaned daily in the morning. The staff come by again in the evening between 6pm-7pm to change your beach towels, tidy up and spray the room with insect repellent, which was a very thoughtful addition. There is a mini-bar stocked with 1 bottle of water, 1 fanta, 1 coca-cola, 1 sprite and 1 Safari beer. There is also a 2nd bottle of water supplied to the room, not kept in the fridge. Be prepared for the almost daily blackouts, which last no more than 2 mins. Food: Incredible! There is a lot of Indian influence in the food, which makes it very flavoursome. We did have a bad tummy one day, the restaurant staff made us a tea for breakfast, lunch and dinner which sorted us out, so the tummy bug only lasted a day or 2. Breakfast is 6.30am-9.30am. Lunch is 12.30pm-2.30pm. Dinner is 7.30pm-9.30pm. The buffet restaurant is great. There are 3 inclusive a la carte restaurants with unlimited booking, Indian, Italian and Thai. The Indian a la carte restaurant is the best. There is a fourth a la carte restaurant on the beach which you can pay for. Drinks: Were okay. Premium spirits cost more. Didn't drink very much. Entertainment: We didn't get involved in the daily activities, but did stick around for the evening entertainment which is around 8.30pm-9.15pm. This was good to watch and they call people up to dance with the entertainment team every night. Beach: Has some sea**** and there are quite a lot of sea urchins, so wet shoes are advisable. The sand is beautiful and white, the water is turquoise and clear in some areas and semi-opaque in other areas. The beach is not completely private, so expect the locals to approach you daily trying to sell things. Do shop around, as they will always sell high, but go lower if you barter with them. Staff: The friendliest staff ever! Special shout out to my fave person Lucy who is a waitress in the breakfast and lunch buffet super, super sweet. The best way to start the day is seeing Lucy's big bright smile with her sweet voice and welcoming “Jambo Melissa”. I actually cried on the last day saying goodbye to her. Lucy will forever hold a special place in my heart. Ratiba, the restaurant hostess on the reservations desk. Biggest, brightest, welcoming smile. Makes you feel good when you get to the restaurant. This sweet welcome sets your evening right. Mahendra, the food and beverage manager. Super kind and friendly, even went out of his way to have red snapper prepared for me as a special request on our last day. Mahendra was so friend
