|7.73km from downtownWe arrived late, maybe 11.30pm, but were greeted warmly and checked in smoothly. The room was small but the bed was comfortable and the environment peaceful. Shower was hot and worked well, all towels and linen were clean, toilet was clean, and the room itself clean enough. It looked like it must have been a child's bedroom once because there were glow-in-the-dark decals of planets stuck on the walls and ceiling. This room is fine if you are traveling on a budget and need somewhere to sleep and keep your things while you explore Hong Kong, location is away from the centre but metro a short walk that will take you straight to Central Station. Was a bit difficult to find down a back street.

|0.72km from downtownWell situated area in Mong Kok, 7-10 minutes walk from Ladies Market. Walking distance to 3 different MRT Stations and great options of convenient stores nearby. Only thing is they don’t tell you until you arrive that a deposit will be required during the stay to cover any damages etc. but overall a good stay.

|2.41km from downtownIt's inside a big building, if you walk a bit from the Tsim Sha Station with A1 exit towards the right, near the Rolex Store. It might be a bit harder to find, so I contacted the manager and he helped me find it. It's okay for a 1-2 night stay, it's clean and you can cook your own food and use the washing machine. The bus stop to the airport is just beside the building, so you can directly catch the A21 bus to HK Airport, so it's a plus. The rooms are okay but with no windows, Wifi works!

|6.72km from downtownI recently stayed at YHA Jockey Club Mt. Davis Youth Hostel, and it was an experience worth sharing! If you're looking for a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle while still being within reach of all the action, this is the place to be.
What I Loved:
✅ Breathtaking Views: The hostel is perched on Mt. Davis, offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, especially at sunrise and sunset—absolutely stunning!
✅ Affordable & Great Value: Compared to most accommodations in Hong Kong, this hostel offers great value for money, making it a budget-friendly option for travellers.
✅ Tranquil Atmosphere: Unlike hotels in the city centre, this place is surrounded by nature, perfect for those who want a relaxing stay.
✅ Friendly Staff: The hostel staff were welcoming and helpful, providing useful tips on getting around.
✅ Outdoor Common Area: There’s a nice outdoor area where you can sit back, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the views.
A Few Things to Note:
🔹 Location & Transport: Since the hostel is located on a hill, getting there requires taking a shuttle bus (provided by the hostel) or a taxi. If you prefer a more adventurous route, a scenic hike up Mt. Davis is an option, of course please do it during the day time.
🔹 Basic Amenities: This is a youth hostel, so don’t expect luxury. The rooms are simple but clean, with basic beds and shared facilities. Bring your own toiletries for added comfort.
🔹 Limited Dining Options: There isn’t a restaurant on-site, so it’s best to bring your own food or plan to eat before heading up. The common kitchen is available for light meal prep.
🔹 WIFI coverage & Speed, the signal in room is very pool, I started a 10 mins YouTube video at night and cannot reach to the end after sun rise.
Overall Experience:
If you're an adventurer, a backpacker, or someone looking for a quiet escape with fantastic views, I highly recommend this hostel. It may not be for those seeking high-end comforts, but for nature lovers and budget-conscious travellers, it’s a hidden gem on Hong Kong Island! 🌿🏙️
Would I stay here again? Yes! Just be prepared for the location challenge, but once you get there, the views are totally worth it.

|4.89km from downtownThe hotel and location were great for nearby shopping with a toddler, but the front-of-house staff were not so friendly. I'm an IHG member, which was part of my decision to stay at the Crowne Plaza, but I was surprised to discover my points would not be awarded to my IHG membership because I didn't book directly with the hotel.
The breakfast food quality and service were good, but the restaurant room was too narrow and not easy to walk around during the peak breakfast time.

They asking you to pay for the shower gel and shampoo kind of stuff. Asked 500hkd deposit, beware. Overall is okay can consider to stay again.

|2.56km from downtownGot a very cheap room. So assumed it would be small, but it was by ChungKing mansions standards huge. Bathroom was probably the biggest I have seen. Bed was a double bed. There is not much view given you are facing towards an internal light well. Also facilities all worked very well, with hot water on tap anytime you wanted and shower was powerful. Only drawbacks were the facilities looked a little old and I made the mistake of not keeping the extractor fan on in the bathroom on the first night and a smallish creep crawley was waiting for me in the sink the next morning...so keep the extractor fan on and I had no issues for the rest of my two week stay. There was a kitchen and hot water and coffee all provided. Staff friendly and helpful. I could not get the microwave to work on all occasions but other guests did not seem to have the same problem with it? So for the money it was excellent value.

|1.59km from downtownSmall but not good room with very central location. Even if it was a ”no window” room (nr 23) there was a small one to an inner shaft so that is quite something in HK terms! Enough space to pack/unpack my single large luggage.
Bed felt slightly short (I am 175cm tall) but slept very well.
Good attention and service from the reception (with whatsapp contact) and the luggage storage made my outbound travel much easier. I could lock the luggage in the Inn by the reception and pick it up in the afternoon just before leaving for the airport taking bus A22 which departs from Jordan.

|1.27km from downtownEaton is really wonderful. The rooms are clean and well thought out. The decor is unique. Location was wonderfully central. Easy to go anywhere and get public transport or get an uber. But the breakfast buffet though, that was definitely one of the highlights. Such a wonderful variety and everything tasted so good! If anything, the only thing I might change is to add a free laundry area for the guests. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

|2.67km from downtownBooked a larger room and first night I had a harbor view but the room was a little small. 2nd night I upgraded to a suite and it was huge. Maybe 5 times the size of the first room.
Very pleased with that room. Had a kitchen, a full size dining table with seating for 6, bathroom had a bath and a separate shower. The bed size was king size and in a separate room. Lounge seating for 8. This room wasn't offered by trip.com.
Executive Lounge was great and had afternoon tea, then free happy hour drinks later.
Breakfast also in the exec. Lounge with personalized service from very nice staff.

|2.57km from downtownThe room was very clean and the staff was friendly. It wasn't big but that was expected in Hong Kong. We would like to mention that 200 HKD will be charged if you arrive later than midnight. We think this should be properly written in the Trip.com page, since the booking was not refundable. We ended up paying more for that extra fee than per night.

|2.26km from downtownConveniently located. Really luxurious room size for Hong Kong. Rooms’ deco is a bit dated but acceptable.
Only thing to complain: breakfast was expensive and not tasty (either way too salty like its herbal soup, or too bland like the other dishes). The senior gentleman behind the omelette station was polite and kind though.
Recommend to stay but go nearby for breakfast instead.

|0.27km from downtownThis is my third time staying here. I think the biggest advantage here is that the location is really convenient. It is very convenient for shopping and dining downstairs. After all, when deciding where to go in Hong Kong, the geographical location is really the primary consideration. It should be noted that before checking in or after arriving at the hotel, you can add the customer service WeChat and follow the instructions to check in and check out quickly. You can also store your luggage for free, but if you want hot water, try to avoid taking a shower during the peak hours in the evening. The price/performance ratio is very high, recommended!

|0.85km from downtownI feel extremely lucky to have found this little gem in Hong Kong. The dorms are extremely well laid out, with plenty of space for the suitcase and personal belongings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean, the common areas are cosy, there's everything you need in terms of kitchen utensils, the water pressure in the showers is amazing, the rooftop is a really place to hang out in the evenings, and most of all, the host Patricia makes you feel at home. I got there solo, and after a few nights I'm leaving with a bunch of friends. This place certainly has a magical power 😊

Mong Kok

|0.22km from downtownWe originally booked a two-bed room without a window, but the boss was very nice and upgraded us to a room with a window, one large and one small. When we entered the room, it had just been cleaned and disinfectant was used, which made us feel relieved. The sanitation was very clean and there was no odor. Friends who come to Hong Kong for the first time must make a good guide and never judge the living environment in Hong Kong, where every inch of land is worth a lot of money, by the accommodation standards in the mainland. The original plan was to stay only one night and then change to a better hotel, but after staying there, we decisively extended the room because it was not noisy at night and slept very well. A few steps downstairs is the E2 exit of the Mong Kok subway station. Mannings, Sasa, and Sneaker Street are just downstairs, which is convenient for travel and eating. I saved the accommodation fee and bought a lot of chocolates for my son and skin care products for my friends. I forgot to take pictures because I was playing outside from morning to night, and I had to go downstairs for supper when I came back at night. Haha!

|2.05km from downtownEnjoyed my stay!
✅ Left my luggage there early before check in and able to help keep my luggage after i check out
✅ Friendly reception, felt welcomed
✅ There were filtered water, free sweets and coke/sprite at level 5. The common area was also clean with tables you could use
✅ The room and toilet was huge and clean. The bed was those firm kind which i like
✅ stayed at level 14 was quiet even though there is a stretch of bars on ground level
❌ The pillows are too soft but was still acceptable
❌ Only biggest downside was you have to walk up a steep slope to reach the hotel . Not suitable for family with elderly otherwise i feel i had a good stay here. Love this hotel
