I stayed in February 2022. I used it in the maternity plan, but I was happy with the service that there were not many other services such as free cancellation fee and family bath. The meal was only delicious dishes that used various vegetables, especially the breakfast was the best, and it was the happiest breakfast ever without complaint. I would like to stay with my child this time.

The place to stay is on the mountain a little distance from the station,
I don't think it's convenient if there are no backpackers who drive by themselves

Far from the station, 2,300 yen. The courtyard is beautiful, but the room is small. If you go to check in, you need to bring your own towel toothbrush and pajamas. Arrival time is too early, but let us stay in the room. After arriving at the hotel, the owner said a lot of rules and was overwhelmed. Because there is no breakfast and dinner, I don't want to enter the restaurant for a certain period of time. It may be because I am worried that we don't understand Japanese habits to disturb other guests.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, with all proper amenities. The atmosphere of the whole hotel was cozy, intimate, and quaint, with an interior as one might expect at a country hotel in England. The owner, Chris, very kindly gave us a ride to the train station as we went sightseeing on our first day as well as after we checked out. (Though the walk from Naka-Karuizawa Station isn't too bad if you're going by train; about 15 minutes.) The meals were excellent (breakfast and dinner). There's also a nice garden with lounge chairs where you can relax and take in the greenery. Also, check out the world map in the restaurant which has marked upon it the many countries Chris has visited and lived in, as well as photos from his travels. Another thing we really appreciated was the background music in the restaurant, mostly 60s and 70s British rock, and that the music was always at a low enough volume to allow proper conversation. (Too many places these days just blast the volume on the music.) We would definitely like to stay here again on our next trip to Karuizawa.

I like this hotel so much. It is a family villa for business. The operators should be a young couple, who are considerate and polite. The breakfast is also delicious. The only bad thing is that it is a little far away from the main attractions, but this hotel can help rent bicycles for 1,000 yen a day, which is very comfortable.

This is a stunning property and all around excellent place to stay with one caveat. The amenities are excellent, the grounds tranquil and gorgeous. The library was a nice place to chill, has snacks all day, whisky an sake/champagne in the evening to enjoy a nightcap, special little treats outside in the garden etc. The onsen was magic and the nature trail to connect you to the forest and surrounding areas was delightful. The staff was incredible, attentive, and kind. Anything we needed they happily accommodated. We had a treatment at the spa And the kaiseki dinner with sake pairing which were both lovely and worth the expense. But the rooms may not live up to your expectations. We rented a junior maisonette for our family of four. While what is pictured on the website is lovely and inviting, what we got was a two story townhouse in the middle of a three-plex that felt a little old, was at the edge of the property, and faced a road that was hidden by a tall fence. Had I know this is what I was getting I would have definitely chosen differently and probably not stayed here. Because for as expensive this property is I expected the actual room to be far superior than what it was. But if you can secure one of the better rooms on the water then I say go for it.

The villa is in a very quiet villa group, and the air is very good. From Karuizawa Station, you can take the bus to Yukawa, and it takes less than 10 minutes to get off the bus. Or take the Nakakaruizawa one stop to Nakakaruizawa, and then walk for 17 minutes. This path is not recommended at night because it passes through an unlit alley and a cemetery. The hotel is almost entirely self-service, and you fold the mattresses and quilts yourself. Each room has a bathroom. When taking a bath, it is a public bathhouse. It is not possible for two people to wash together in the bathhouse. It is a bit crowded for three people. The hotel's nearest convenience store is a 10-minute walk away. The 711 here is open from 6 am to 11 pm. The Stone Church is 7 minutes away from the convenience store. The price/performance ratio is pretty good. Bicycles can be rented at the entrance of the hotel. Please confirm with the front desk for details.

I stayed at this hotel with my family when I traveled to Karuizawa. The location was good to sightsee Karuizawa, and convenience stores and supermarkets were close, so I was saved. I think this price is very cheap with dinner and breakfast, and there is also a large bath. Cost performance is the best. The Viking dishes were rich in number of items and all were delicious. The building is clean and clean. The room was like a business hotel, but it was large and even a family 4 person was able to relax. There were many family members other than us, but I could spend quietly without hearing the sound of other rooms. The large bath was wide 々 and comfortable. I think you can enjoy enough even if you stay overnight because there are microwave ovens, hot water heaters, pots, etc. The front desk was very kind and polite. I will definitely stay when I travel to Karuizawa.

GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay at this brand new hotel. Although it has been open for a couple of months, they have kept everything spotless. The lobby with open fire is beautiful and a comfortable area to have a drink and relax. The room itself was also incredibly clean and everything worked well including the WiFi. The hanten jackets were in the colours of the Ukranian flag which was a nice touch. The breakfast was good, as was the restaurant in the evening. The public bath was a nice place to soak after dinner. Service was good although it's clear the team was new and still training - I am sure this will change in time. Small criticim is there was no room service menu in the room. This was fine as it was on the TV but navigating to the menu needed Japanese skills. The architecture and general design is fantastic, as are the fittings and the carpets are just beautiful - same as all new IHG properties I think.

GGuest UserThe front desk 竹村, on June 18th 10:50, she told us there’s no pick up service after check out (there is), without offering any assistance to deliver our bags to the station. We feel that the staffs are poorly trained when it comes to the hotel facility nor their communication skills. The hotel itself is highly enjoyable especially the hot spring! Everything is brand new and the surroundings are epic! I’m sorry to have to minus one star because of 竹村’s poor reaction to customers’ requests.

DDollyDollyWest side was around 10 min walk from the outlet mall and took us nearly 30 mins to walk (with a kid) to the East Side Snow Park. Room was just okay for its price - lobby looks better and newer than the room which was a bit old fashioned, yellowish (without a full mirror too) and not spacious.
We drove there. For this price point, we would try other hotels next time, like Hilton in the area, given we need to walk a long way from West Side to everywhere, even to the hotel lobby and car park.

GGuest UserOur stay at the hotel was great! Being a Marriott Bonvoy member allowed us a nice upgrade for our room. Onsite staff spoke English very well. The room was very orderly and spacious. Also, this Marriott was one of the few hotels I have been to that had the room allergy ready when I told them I was allergic to feathers on the reservation. The free beverages (beer, wine, cocktails, juice, and soda) and hot meals during the membership lounge time were nice. The public bath was very clean and relaxing. The management team went above and beyond! We asked the doorman to arrange a taxi to get to a local restaurant. Instead, he worked with the assistant manager, who told us he would personally drive us to the restaurant (even included a return trip!) The breakfast buffet was excellent and had both American and Japanese fare. I will recommend this hotel to any of my friends or family who visit the area.

GGuest UserGood points １． The staff has a good attitude, is bright and crisp, and it feels good. ２． The food is delicious. The dinner was a full course, but it was delicious that betrayed my expectations. The duck meat was soft, the green peas potage was rich, and the dessert fondane chocolate was good. The breakfast buffet was also rich in number and tasted good. Yudofu was especially good. Unfortunately, １． It is well maintained, but there were some places where it could not be won by the number of years of construction. The sound of the ventilation fan in the room, the amount of hot water supply, etc. Overall, the atmosphere was good and I had a good time. Thank you.

GGrandTour803448In Karuizawa, I usually stay at a hotel in front of the genre, but sometimes I change my intention... and stay here in the Japanese style room. A hotel is a cottage even in front of the genre, so there are some places where the distance to walk skiing is long, but it is convenient because it sends you to the front of the ski center. Also, if you eat at the outlet early in the evening, you will still be in time for free transfer bus time, so you can not walk on the snowy road at night. The restaurant in the hotel is clean and delicious, and lunch is very recommended.

The only inconvenience is that there is no supper in my order. There are no convenience stores around.
Other play facilities and hot spring bath facilities are ok
The prices are also very clean. I also arranged a large room for me alone
I ate breakfast at the hotel in the morning and loved waking up in the forest early in the morning.
