The Yanyuting River View Inn is in a good location, every morning we seat in balcony drink coffee and at night we can watch the boats with red lantern from our balcony. The owner is very nice, friendly and helpful, they do anything to make us comfortable. We stay for eleven nights and enjoyed every minute of it we will come back again and ended we will tell all our friends how wonderful Yanyuting River view Inn.

The hotel is located upstream of the river which is quieter. The hotel is not on the busiest part of the river. The room is mainly on the fourth floor and can have a distant view of the river. The proprietress is attentive and provides maps and introductions to scenic spots. Also a comfortable hotel.

The ancient city and this B&B recommended by a friend are super good! 👍Because I was busy at work and didn’t have time to make a guide, I added the boss’s WeChat account after booking the B&B online, thinking that I wouldn’t be able to find a way to contact him easily. Although he said he could pick him up at Nanhua Gate, since I have never encountered a rental house with free pick-up service (except for high-end hotels), I took it as a kind word. But that day, the boss really went to Nanhua Gate to pick us up and help us carry our luggage. Although the B&B is not near the river, within a few steps you can reach the city wall, Tuojiang River, and Snow Bridge, making it truly a place of tranquility amidst the bustle. The two suites I booked (the terrace room and a suite on the second floor) were both clean and tidy, and there was no smell of smoke or smoke, and the air conditioner was quiet. In the terrace room on the fourth floor, you can sit and enjoy the breeze with your friends, listen to the excitement in the ancient city, and chat and relax☕. For breakfast, I had rice noodles made with fresh bone soup (you can add fried eggs) and freshly squeezed soy milk. I must give a thumbs up to the aunt who made the breakfast👍! ! The boss also gave me a map of the ancient city and introduced the scenic spots. I asked the boss to recommend local specialties worth trying. It was great. There was a restaurant where we went for two meals😋! Maybe it’s because of this B&B that I will come back to the ancient city for vacation, and I will definitely stay at this B&B. 😄 The dozen or so rooms in their house were fully occupied the night before we checked out👍👍 Thank you, everything I encountered on this journey is wonderful🙏

The room is very good, and the location is just right to overlook the Phoenix Ancient Town scenic area. The view is great when the lights are on, and there is an observation deck outside the room. I thought the house by the river would be very damp or moldy, but there was no such thing when I entered the room. I am very happy to live in such a room

The owner upgraded us to a king-size bed room for free, hehe. When we arrived at Fenghuang Ancient Town, an employee took the initiative to pick us up and help us with our luggage, which was great. If we were to find it by ourselves, we might get dizzy looking at the navigation, as there are too many alleys in the ancient town, winding and winding, so this is much more convenient. It was very clean, and the bed sheets and quilt covers were newly changed, with creases. The room was relatively clean and had no odor. I thought there would be bugs because the south is more humid, but there were none~ Hehe, it was great. There is also a small courtyard on the second floor, which is very beautiful, and you can go there to take pictures.

We decided to come to Fenghuang Ancient Town on a whim. We didn't make any plans. After booking a room, we didn't expect to have many surprises. The boss contacted us after we placed the order, asked us how to travel, and told us the route from the high-speed rail station, which was very considerate. After checking in, he told us the map route in detail, and explained the food and entertainment reminders very carefully, which saved a lot of time. The trip to the ancient city was very fun. This city is beautiful on the water, but beware of mosquitoes! I personally would stay no more than one night. You pay for the great location - right on the river and by all the hustle and bustle. The party does not stop at 10pm - I swear it was loud outside until 2am and you definitely hear it. The room we chose (with a large patio) was extremely small and cramped. We couldn't enjoy our patio during the summer because there were so many mosquitoes at the door. We left a mosquito-repellant incense at the patio door and that helped a little, but we didn't dare having tea outside like we originally wanted. The hotel also didn't feel secure. Our room was by the back door, which stayed open for most hours of the day. It was very convenient to get to our room, but the open door felt like a safety hazard. They said that they would close it at midnight, but that is too late for my comfort. Service was okay at best. They tried contacting us before we arrived but we don't have a Chinese phone number. Responses through WeChat were a bit slow during some hours, and sometimes the front desk was empty. Perhaps we were just unlucky. The morning we left, the manager lady seemed the most competent and warm, but everyone else was a bit lackluster. The room is old, and the bathroom has rusting metal. Toiletries were at least covered the essentials. No welcome snacks, but at least there were two bottles of water. Is it bad for us to expect more at the price we're paying? Among all the high end hotels we stayed at during our trip at this price point, this was the least impressive by far. The hotel pictures felt misleading on terms of quality and cleanliness.

The location of the hotel is nice, it’s close to everything but not quite in the midst of all the loud bars and restaurants. The rooms themselves were fine, although the walls were a bit dirty, and much of the tile could have used more caulking. The entire counter of our sink moved if bumped. Also, there was something not quite right with our shower head. However, the bed was comfortable and you can’t just beat the view from the balcony. The owner was helpful when I took the initiative to add them on wechat as well. They gave us recommendations for food and advised us on where to do the river boat ride. Overall, a fine place to stay for a night in Fenghuang.

The store service is in place. When you are about to arrive at the inn, they will come out to pick you up. The location is in the middle and lower reaches. It is not too noisy. It is also very convenient to see the scenery on the viewing balcony. When you leave, the boss also gave the children a small gift. The experience is good.

The location is perfect, about half way down the entire township waterfront. I had a window room, stunning view. The service was impeccable, the male staff member met me at the taxi stop and assisted with luggage to the hotel, and again on my departure. Bear in mind that there are no roads accessing the hotel, you need to be dropped off across the river and walk across the bridge. The room included balcony bathtub, large bed, and a massage shower! The room is a bit ‘tired’ looking and could do with a paint and fix up, but the price and location…you can’t beat it.
