Hotel location is very convenient, it's opposite the entrance of fenghuang ancient city. I went during winter, the weather is too cold till the warmer in the room doesn't works on the first night, the hotel is so-so, but the service is amazing. The hotel staff helped me to move the bed right under the warmer in the middle of the night and because they doesn't have a lift, they actually helped me to carry my heavy luggage 3 levels up and down. Glad the hotel hired good workers.

This city is beautiful on the water, but beware of mosquitoes! I personally would stay no more than one night. You pay for the great location - right on the river and by all the hustle and bustle. The party does not stop at 10pm - I swear it was loud outside until 2am and you definitely hear it. The room we chose (with a large patio) was extremely small and cramped. We couldn't enjoy our patio during the summer because there were so many mosquitoes at the door. We left a mosquito-repellant incense at the patio door and that helped a little, but we didn't dare having tea outside like we originally wanted. The hotel also didn't feel secure. Our room was by the back door, which stayed open for most hours of the day. It was very convenient to get to our room, but the open door felt like a safety hazard. They said that they would close it at midnight, but that is too late for my comfort. Service was okay at best. They tried contacting us before we arrived but we don't have a Chinese phone number. Responses through WeChat were a bit slow during some hours, and sometimes the front desk was empty. Perhaps we were just unlucky. The morning we left, the manager lady seemed the most competent and warm, but everyone else was a bit lackluster. The room is old, and the bathroom has rusting metal. Toiletries were at least covered the essentials. No welcome snacks, but at least there were two bottles of water. Is it bad for us to expect more at the price we're paying? Among all the high end hotels we stayed at during our trip at this price point, this was the least impressive by far. The hotel pictures felt misleading on terms of quality and cleanliness.

But that day, the boss really went to Nanhua Gate to pick us up and help us carry our luggage. Although the B&B is not near the river, within a few steps you can reach the city wall, Tuojiang River, and Snow Bridge, making it truly a place of tranquility amidst the bustle. The two suites I booked (the terrace room and a suite on the second floor) were both clean and tidy, and there was no smell of smoke or smoke, and the air conditioner was quiet. In the terrace room on the fourth floor, you can sit and enjoy the breeze with your friends, listen to the excitement in the ancient city, and chat and relax☕. For breakfast, I had rice noodles made with fresh bone soup (you can add fried eggs) and freshly squeezed soy milk. I must give a thumbs up to the aunt who made the breakfast👍! ! The boss also gave me a map of the ancient city and introduced the scenic spots. I asked the boss to recommend local specialties worth trying. It was great. There was a restaurant where we went for two meals😋! It's a pity that I underestimated how difficult it would be to get a taxi when leaving Fenghuang Ancient City. Didi can't get a taxi here. They have a local taxi app. You can ask the innkeeper. I heard the online taxi driver say it and didn't remember it. live. If you want to go to the high-speed rail station or the maglev train station here, the driver will ask for the price. If you want to go back to the maglev, you have to go early, or you can take a taxi directly back to the high-speed rail station. We paid 35. The facilities in the room are quite satisfactory. I would like to complain about the hair dryer and the shower room. The hair dryer was still mounted on the wall in the past and its power is worrisome. The shower room is not ventilated. If it is not turned on, there will be a strong musty smell when it is turned on again. Overall, the inn is worth staying in, and it’s worth it for the scenery. Other transportation or facility issues are trivial on the basis of one trip.

The owner upgraded us to a king-size bed room for free, hehe. When we arrived at Fenghuang Ancient Town, an employee took the initiative to pick us up and help us with our luggage, which was great. If we were to find it by ourselves, we might get dizzy looking at the navigation, as there are too many alleys in the ancient town, winding and winding, so this is much more convenient. It was very clean, and the bed sheets and quilt covers were newly changed, with creases. The room was relatively clean and had no odor. I thought there would be bugs because the south is more humid, but there were none~ Hehe, it was great. There is also a small courtyard on the second floor, which is very beautiful, and you can go there to take pictures.

The owner is friendly and very helpful, picked us up at the tourist centre and also help with the luggages. The place is very convenient, next to Fenghuang bridge.
