Ostria Resort & Spa

Clup Eldo's was an amazing part of my trip. I love Maïssa, she is an amazing host, kind, and great at including :) Also, the food is great and the variation is plentiful, I did not get bored. Most of the evening entertainment is happening in French and only sometimes translated to English. The rooms were nice and clean, the air-conditioning worked well and was pretty silent. The toilet and shower doors are partially see-through.

1. Do not order a comfort room!!! they are horrible and old !!! We are actually very disapointed, the first room we give back, the second room was a bit better, but also horrible old with a lot small ants everywhere...and it gives no sence to hope every two days, you become a bit better room........ But the Resort are beautifill, greek architecture are very nice, expensive rooms i think too, the beach nice and clean, food excelent i mus say! I was in a lot of all inclusive resorts, but here are the food top. Resort are for French people...others, Slovakian, Czech, German, Polisch, etc. have no chance to understand the language and mostly the anime stuff speak only frensch, sometimes englisch by the entertaiment and evening programs. So, the hotel are nice, a lot of money are invested in 95% of buildings, pools, gardens, etc...but they risk a lot of good reputation to give this horrible old comfort rooms. And no botteled watter ! Only 1liter pro day... And a big shock! They use plastic cups for the beach and they don't recycle them! They do not recycle anything at all, plastic in each trasch... big Shame... Great hospitality in general. The staff is outstanding, full of enthusiasm and willingness to help. Food service and quality is excellent and the variety of products are great. The Negative point is mentioned was the dirty kindergarten.

We had an incredible stay and we thank you for that. We would like to thank the entire entertainment team, the cleaning team and all the waiters. Special thanks to Manos, waiter at the adult bar, who always welcomed us with great attention, courtesy, professionalism and friendliness. We really appreciated the place, the quality and diversity of the dishes served in the restaurants and the different services which make the stay comfortable and pleasant. Ostria could soon host a billiards table, table football or even an indoor court for playing badminton or sqash.

An amazing facility ,really good food. The pool bar for grown ups has a love person called manos Also the head of service Syobane is amazing It’s really clean and lovely heated pool The spa had really good massage aswell A lot of the hotel was new this year and it was nice 👍 Have been here 3 times

All resort staff were kind,friendly and very efficient people. Facilities were fantastic.Food and drink was excellent. All in all a perfect week for my family and friends.

From the day we entered we knew it is going to be a propper choice. We travel a lot so we did have high exepectations. First the staff. Well informed, polite and professional. Greetings to front desk girls, out friend Manolis from adult pool bar and lovley Efi from HK section. Food is outstanding, top notch. Facilities starting from gym ending on minigolf awesome too. Cleaness also high rate. In closing we really reccomend this place you find everything you need. Despite high occupation you always find place to relax you feel like only 10%of rooms are taken! One more time send our regards to Mano that took care of us almost every evening! Mojito, champagne and whisky coke ;) Thank you for made our staying outstanding. Short advice ( work on wi fi Signal and consider welcome drink for new arrivals soe siły those that wait few ours for room) We consider to come whole family 10 pax next july:) Martin&Izabella

We love Crete & visit every year staying in different hotels across the island. This was our first time visiting Ostria Resort & Spa. What we loved: - Beautiful resort & very well kept. - The staff are so hardworking & friendly. They also take good care of the cats who have made the resort their home. - Layout creates an exclusive feeling. - Rooms are spacious and clean. Very comfy bed and pillows. - Spa is small but tranquil & well worth a visit. - Quality food & good variety. We loved the pop up BBQs at the Onar pool bar. - Good gym & great resort for sport & water activities. - Sunbeds never an issue whether at the beach or pools (we visited end Oct so can’t comment on peak time). - The adult only pool & bar was relaxing. - Entertainment was mostly very good e.g. Halloween & White Party. - Great location. Easy to travel around by hire car or taxi & nearby activities e.g. go karting (highly recommend & you can walk to) & quad biking. What we feel could be improved: - Being more inclusive for other nationalities & languages. Entertainment, compères and most staff providing information only spoke French. We appreciate you can’t cater for everyone but this meant we couldn’t watch or take part in most activities/entertainment. If the resort caters only for, or predominantly for, French speaking guests then perhaps the website and booking sites should state this. Although we loved the Resort, we’ve never had any feeling of being excluded in other Crete hotels like we did on this trip. - The hotel’s app could provide information in the ‘what’s on’ section in different languages as some notice boards were only in French and we had difficulty getting information in English. - Gala night entertainment was good but the compère only spoke French and there was a very limited set food menu and only beer, wine & soft drinks with no other dinner/restaurant or drinks options so took away all inclusive experience with some of us going to bed hungry that night. - We could only exchange beach towels every two days whereas all other 5 star resorts we’ve visited you can exchange daily. - Some staff at the Amora Dessert House were quite rude the 3 times we visited whereas everyone else we came across was so welcoming and tried to help despite the language barrier issues we had when trying to ask for information.
