Stayed for 2 nights. Excellent location within the city ramparts and easy to navigate by car when locating the property. Just 10/15 min. walk to the centre and Menin Gate. Magda and her neighbour who helps with breakfast were very friendly and helpful. This is a true small B&B with breakfast in her kitchen and dining room. Unbelievable breakfast is provided from bacon/eggs to many pastries, cereals and breads and an array of meats and cheese and fruit and jams. Whilst we were just a couple the room did have a third bed but should warn that it is in a separate building up a metal staircase that may not be easy if you have any disability. There was good air con as well and good size bathroom and shower and all rooms overlook a well kept small garden. The area was very quiet and clean and the whole town was remarkably clean. Parking is available on the street and is free from 6pm to 9am and Magda will provide a blue disk that allows 2 hours free parking and you can park for free just outside the city ramparts nearby. Plenty to do in and around Ypres if interested in WW1 including the In Flanders Field Museum in the Centre and the Passchendale 1917 Museum. Found nothing negative

Firstly the owner was extremely nice, but if I had known that we were going to have a room without on suite I would not have stayed here, we were given a very small bedroom without a wardrobe and no where to really put anything, the bathroom and separate toilet were on the landing next door, so at night when needing toilet we had to unlock our room door go to toilet then along to the bathroom to wash hands so wasn't very impressed, also I wanted somewhere quiet and not have to listen to fellow residents shouting and swearing at each other, the owner left us cream pods out for our coffee, but we came back in the evening and they were gone so another resident must have helped themselves to ours, breakfast was OK ish but not when fruit had fruit flies all over it, not rwally impressed with fried eggs on top of bacon, the bath towels needed replacing , but we were only there to sleep so had to stick it out , would I stay here again ? No not really

The perfect place to stay in Ypres. Location was ideal, less than 10 minutes walk into town and in a quiet street close to the ramparts, where you can walk right along to the Menin Gate. Magda, the owner, is such a lovely lady and made us feel very welcome, showing us our room on arrival and giving us all the relevant information. Our room had everything we needed, even a mosquito screen on the window which pleased my husband, who is prone to insect bites. The room overlooks the beautiful garden, which I fell in love with. The bed was so comfortable! I slept better than I do at home 😊 Nice bathroom with large enough shower and plenty of hot water. The only thing I would point out is that there are iron staircases up to the rooms, which would make it difficult for less able bodied travellers. I don't know if there are any ground floor rooms. Now the best bit - breakfast! This is up there on my list of top ten breakfasts. There was everything you could want, bacon & eggs cooked to order, several types of bread, cheeses, cold meats, cereal, yogurts, an extremely large variety of fresh & dried fruit and, as you'd expect for a continental breakfast, plenty of pastries. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of breakfast as I was too busy enjoying eating it! As the weather was glorious during our stay, we were able to eat out in the garden, which I enjoyed very much. Or you can eat indoors if you prefer. I can't recommend this place enough and it will definitely be our place to stay during future trips to Ypres.

Always try and stay here when visiting Ypres. Never been disappointed. No other b&b can serve such a great breakfast. The service goes above and beyond. Nothing seems to much bother. We will be back soon.

I love Ypres and this is my 3rd visit. This time with my partner and we were looking forward to a great trip. The B&B gardens were fantastic but many things let us down seriously and left us feeling very uncomfortable throughout our entire stay. We arrived and the host / owner was nowhere to be found. Another guest informed us she was at her daughters “proclamation” instead despite us arranging an early check in by writing. At the point of actual check in the reception was decidedly cold. The room was totally fine although nothing too extravagant. Breakfast was absolutely lovely and cannot be faulted. However, on our second day, the host accused us of cancelling the booking with *********** (who we had paid through). *********** told us that the B&B had cancelled instead, which naturally alarmed us after we had checked in. The host showed us an email in Dutch that clearest stated that *********** had cancelled the booking at the B&Bs request yet we were still accused of cancelling it. While we were able to come to an agreement that we were happy to pay separately, it left us feeling unwelcome and embarrassed as guests throughout the stay. This ruined a trip we had looked forward to for months. Overall, an OK property, lovely breakfast, but cold and unwelcoming reception that made us feel like a nuisance throughout the stay.

Magda is a wonderful host!! Really helpful with where to find the attractions and wow, what a breakfast! The annex room was a perfect size for our short stay. Well lit, comfortable temperature. We highly recommend staying here!! A brilliant little hidden gem.

Stayed at this b and b for one night, wish had been more because it was so nice. Our host could not have been more helpful, offering tips on how to get the most from the short stay. The room was very modern, clean and comfortable. The morning breakfast freshly cooked to order along with fantastic selection of fruits, cereal, bread, meats etc. Very highly recommended.

Super mooie en verzorgde kamer, zeer goed en uitgebreid ontbijt. De gastvrouw is fantastisch. Ook veel info over de streek en Ieper zelf. Ook plaats in de garage voor motoren en fietsen. Wij komen hier zeker terug!!
