I took my parents to Huangshan and chose this hotel. We upgraded to a lake view room with a balcony. The elderly were very satisfied. The scenery outside the window was nice. We had a lot of luggage, and the front desk was responsive and helped us with the luggage. The restaurant deserves praise. The stinky mandarin fish, tofu, braised pork, and dried bamboo shoots were all good. We had all three meals in the hotel. The hotel park has a nice view and is very photogenic. It is 2 kilometers away from Xixi South

A homestay hidden in a small alley deep in my heart. I asked the owner to pick me up at the parking lot outside the village, and then walked in. The appearance is not much different from the ordinary houses around, but the interior is a different world. The room I booked is on the second floor. Under the French window is the hotel's small courtyard. What's more surprising is that there is floor heating in the house, which is very comfortable in winter. There are many previous reviews that praise the food in the store. Unfortunately, when I went there, it was the Spring Festival holiday. The store was short of staff and could not provide meals. However, the breakfast was very good. Although it was just simple white porridge, eggs, and old bread, it was not sloppy at all. Coupled with a few homemade specialties in the store, it made people feel comfortable.

Full marks hotel. I stayed at it for the second time. I want to give a big praise to the uncle at the pick-up station. He was very enthusiastic and attentive. He picked us up at the hotel on time. After arriving at the hotel, he drove very steadily. The front desk was very enthusiastic and took us to check in. The hotel room was very clean, and there was free mineral water at the front desk. The breakfast was good, with rich varieties and fresh ingredients. Since we arrived late the day before, the front desk took the initiative to extend the check-out time for us. It was very attentive service, a big thumbs up, and the price was very reasonable. It is recommended to stay during the May Day holiday.

The location is excellent, just near Huangshan North Station, it is very convenient to travel. The surrounding environment is quiet and quiet, which can make people stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse themselves in the arms of nature.
The hotel's service is even more impeccable. It was so beautiful to sleep in nature. The hotel opened the window and saw the lake and mountains. It was like being gently hugged. The scenery was super beautiful and the service staff was very warm. The front desk arranged a standard room. When we entered the room, we found that the hotel was equipped with two beds, one large and one small. It was enough for a family of three. The facilities were all new. It can only be described as neat and clean. The room at this price is equipped with a fully intelligent toilet, a high-speed hair dryer from Lifen, electric curtains, and a large and huge rain shower. Compared with the well-known chain hotels with similar positioning, this hotel is indeed more attentive in setting up comfort. I stayed for two days. From here, I went to Chengkan and Qiyun Mountain. Several more expensive ones are not far away. By the way, the hotel's breakfast is really good. There are many varieties and good tastes. There is a small children's playground next to the breakfast room. I saw several parents put their children in the playground and enjoyed their breakfast peacefully. This store is really thoughtful. We were traveling as a family during the Spring Festival, and the hotel upgraded the room we booked for free. The hotel is in an excellent location and has convenient transportation, 5 kilometers away from the high-speed rail station. The hotel lobby and the interior decoration of the rooms are all in Huizhou style, simple and generous, and the beautiful woman at the front desk is dignified, decent, and amiable. The variety of Chinese and Western breakfasts were delicious and left a good impression on me during my first trip to Huangshan.

NNaomiOur stay at the J. Mountain hotel was beyond our wildest dreams. I rarely leave reviews but our 3 nights here were so stunningly exceptional that we felt driven to express our gratitude and appreciation for the stellar staff, service, and beautiful setting of this hidden gem of a hotel.
The service was without exception some of the best if not the best I have ever experienced at a hotel, and I travel often, having visited over 20 countries in the last few years alone and stayed at many beautiful and well-known five-star hotels and brands. Despite being a very young hotel (having just opened in September) J. Mountain Hotel holds its own and then some. It began months before our stay when we reached out to the hotel on WeChat to ask for guidance on equipment, tickets, and transportation. As we are visiting from America the area isn’t necessarily the easiest to access or plan for. Responses were almost immediate no matter when we reached out and always went above and beyond. For instance, my mother is nearly 70 and although very active was worried about slipping and falling while hiking in icier conditions; they offered to even purchase crampons for us should we wish although they advised us we would not need them for the time of year we were here (they were right).
While here their thoughtfulness included texting us updates on and warning us about inclement weather while we were hiking around Huang Shan (there is cell service), drying and fluffing our wet gear when we returned from a particularly wet hike, and most astounding of all resolving an incredibly stressful issue we had with an upcoming flight that had been canceled (they suggested and secured alternative means of transport to a second city and then arranged for a different flight with the airline directly).
We must specifically give our thanks to Hotel Manager Ryan, who is young but clearly extremely talented and excels in his role. He not only oversaw and proactively sought to help us on every front but was responsible for resolving our flight emergency. He also clearly had directed staff to help us to their utmost ability at all times, including having breakfast and dinner ready for and served to us at the times we requested. Ryan also personally met us and gave us a tour of the hotel and its history and design, as well as accompanied us to the art gallery and an evening tea tasting held in the gorgeous tea house on the grounds. He checked in with us every day and night and made sure everything was to our liking.
Driver Wang Kai was our personal chauffer throughout the stay and was extremely courteous, professional, and attentive; he was always there to pick us up and see us off at multiple locations throughout our trip and not once were we ever allowed to wait. He even brought us hotel slippers and large down jackets to change into out of our soaking wet gear when picking us up at the end of a hike. When we said we did not think we would need some of the gear they offer their guests, we noticed he packed it in the car just in case we changed our minds and needed them later.
I could literally go on and on but wanted to make sure I left room to appreciate how beautiful the hotel itself is and how much attention to detail has gone into its design and planning; at almost every turn we discovered something that added to the ease, enjoyment, and comfort of our stay. J. Mountain Hotel, thank you for one of the best experiences we have had in many, many years.

SShana101We had a great time here at Baiyun hotel, known for its great location here in Huangshan and the exceptional services provided by their 管家s. Our 管家 is 小叶 and we were very touched by her sincerity and helpfulness during our stay here, she made sure to keep us updated on the latest sunset/sunrise timings via wechat and provided us great recommendations on our hiking routes. As foreigners, she made us feel very welcomed here and very approachable in asking her for help or services anytime. There was even a performance specially put up by the Baiyun staff every night, it’s heartwarming to see the amount of effort they go through to make their guests happy.
I will highly recommend this hotel, not just because of its great location to sunrise/sunset spots and small eateries, its comfortable beds and hot showers toilets, but also for its wonderful and applaudable services that the staff will provide for each and everyone of its guests. Thank you 小叶 for making our stay here so wonderful :)

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

GGuest UserThe perfect place for an overnight trip! The room was clean and comfortable, with AC, TV, kettle, etc. — everything you might need! The staff readily provided us with a WeChat contact, offering to drive us to and from the Huangshan mountain trail entrance as well as happily providing recommendations for the local town. After being caught in the rain on the last day after we had already checked out, we were immediately accommodated to dry off in one of the rooms before our evening train. The hospitality and generosity was 10/10 and much appreciated! I have multiple friends who chose to stay at the 0517 Hotel while visiting Huangshan, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area!

AAnonymous UserIt feels especially suitable for self-driving, with mountains and rivers, and a stream at the door, where you can go rafting in summer. The hotel room is very clean and quite large, with a terrace. The owner raises stream fish, and if you stay there, you can ask the owner to braise the stream fish, and the white thick soup will be delicious. The wild fruit tofu is also very delicious, and I basically finished the whole plate. At the end, the owner also gave us a big pumpkin (originally my mother wanted to buy one), and arranged for us to park the car at the foot of Huangshan, saving us money.

PPaul. SGood location, not too far from Tangkou bus transfer terminal. When we arrived here, we asked a local to help us call them and they immediately sent a car to picked us up. Transport to and fro Tangkou bus terminal was free. The room was clean, facilities good, separate toilet/bathroom. Building not so new but facilities well maintained and clean. Breakfast was Chinese style buffet, simple but adequate. Service from all the staff from front desk, the boss, the driver, the restaurant staff and the cleaning lady were excellent. I stayed in 5 hotels during this trip to China and this hotel provided the best service. The driver even helped us to get a direct transfer to our subsequent Tunxi hotel, without us getting fleeced. I believe the hotel, restaurant and adjoining mini-mart are all family owned.

Cleanliness and amenities: Superb as this hotel just newly opened and everything is in its prestine conditions. There is also a laundry room free for use.
Service however, was debatable. While staff were very friendly, they definitely took advantage of our lack of knowledge around the town.
1. Offering to drive us to the Emerald Valley (翡翠谷) but charging us an exorbitant price, 5 times more than what DiDi (car hailing app) was listing (only telling us the price once we got on the car, felt like they just made up the amount on a whim). The emerald valley was not an inaccessible location, but we were told that it was and therefore heeded their advice.
2. Sold us Emerald Valley entrance tickets for twice the price and told us that we were getting a discount. Fortunately, the tickets were void as it had already been used, which we got our refund back after. We then bought tickets at the entrance for half the price as we were foreigners. So now im wondering, what discount was she talking about?
3. Lastly, after facing some issues with the dryer not properly drying our clothes after waiting for 2hrs, I approached a staff for help. She was lost and confused but still trying to tell me I did not operate the machine correctly, when all she did was did exactly what i did and said that “its working, just have to wait for the dryer to heat up”. When i asked for her to elaborate on how it works, because i did the same thing and i waited for 2hrs, she just repeated the same info again. Like. If you don’t know and you can’t help just say so? Don’t act smart and be unhelpful?

Ppenny cheahWe booked a balcony room with view and we were not disappointed. The room was spacious, clean with full amenities, with torchlight and winter jacket. The view is amazing. Food is reasonable given the difficulty in logistics. Everything is transported manually by human carriers. We enjoyed the stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserWe stayed 2 nights at this hotel on the mountain and were very happy with the location. It's a 30-minute walk from the Yungu cable car and close to many good routes. Easy to find with many signs along the road.
The room was clean with wifi access and a window you could open. Free toothbrushes, combs, shower caps and tea was available. They also had jackets to borrow for cold weather.
Good food! The breakfast had a nice variety. For dinner you can choose either buffet or à la carte.
We were so happy with the customer service, when we arrived Xiao Jiang gave us a map with hiking recommendations, and weather forecasts on wechat. When it rained they gave us great overshoes which kept us dry and from slipping. Thank you Xiao Jiang 😊😊😊

VvanThis hotel is a gem in Tunxi that I found on Trip.com. We regret not staying here for 2 nights at the start of our 4 day trip in Huangshan at the start of Chinese New Year in Jan. 2023 because it is near the Huangshan Bei (North) high speed train station (25 min drive by Didi) and an easy travel to the Yungpu cable car (about 45 min.) to access the mountain. I contacted the hotel and connected on Wechat and the English speaking receptionist Xiao Xi (he is an amazing host and an ambassador for this hotel) answered my questions and sent me the taxi/Didi location. When we arrived we received a warm English welcome and an unexpected upgrade to a spacious gorgeous, already heated room with a huge bath, and shower overlooking the river. Our original room price included breakfast, which was a mix of Chinese and Western choices. I recommend trying the preserved tofu. First time I tried it; it resembles blue cheese, and is surprisingly tasty. We loved the Japanese style design of the hotel. The hotel is situated conveniently near the promenade adjacent the river, Luping cobbled stoned shopping street and Tunxi ancient street. Xiao personally guided us to these streets and made some dinner suggestions. We decided to have dinner at the hotel and had a lovely meal of sushi and ramen. The hotel has many areas designed for guests to relax inside, and outside where you can have cups of tea on the house. It also has a library room where you can relax reading a book or just have a cup of tea. They also offer tea ceremonies which is included in the room price. The swimming pool is an added bonus if you visit in summer. The promenade and shopping street can be accessed from the gate at the outdoor seating area on the roof as well. I definitely recommend staying a night or two in this beautifully designed hotel with friendly staff and service in English and Chinese. The locals were friendly and a sandwich and coffee at the FFFFF café is a must. It is one of the most delicious roasted sandwiches (we call them jaffles) I have eaten in China. In the evening you can visit one of many wine houses, clubs or bars in Luping or Tunxi Old street, or just walk around and enjoy the scenery. We don't regret visiting in winter. It was chilly outside but we experienced windless days and nights making it a pleasant experience walking around.
