Insula Alba Resort & Spa (Adults Only)

My friend and I have just returned from a week at The TUI Blue Insula Alba. The hotel is very clean and hotel staff pleasant and helpful. The daily activity programme is varied and appropriate for the clientele and the relaxed nature of the hotel. We had a swim up room which was great to have the day beds right outside the room but still have the option of going to the main pool every day with lovely views of the seafront. The food was very tasty, and plentiful. They cater for most dietary needs so unless you are a particularly fussy eater there is something for everyone. The hotel is very cosmopolitan with lots of different nationalities. We found the gala night a highlight of the week. We didn’t eat in the a la carte restaurant so can’t comment on that, but we did eat out on a few occasions as there are some nice local restaurants within walking distance. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing break away from screaming children this is definitely for you. One minor comment for feedback. The hotel could benefit from more umbrellas around the main pool as in 33 degree heat for latecomers there was no shade.

Very nice and friendly Hotel the staff were great .The manager in the restaurant was very helpful.Food was ok and the drinks were good,The pool was large if a bit cold due to the weather but you could have another step on the ladders.Pool and piano bars were very good.To many quizs in pool bar.The room was on the first floor good view of pool and the sea.This Hotel is in a quiet area of Analipsi it goes very quiet at night in the Hotel.

We have just returned from staying at this Hotel today, the hotel is lovely and clean but would not rate it as a 5* it more like a 4*, the reason for this is their is only one pool available to all visitors and their is only one a la carte restaurants. We stayed in a Junior Suite duplex room and the downstairs was a bit disappointing but the bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet so were able to get a good nights sleep. The staff at the hotel are very good the only issues I had were with the food, the food in the buffet restaurant was very good and lots of choice but pretty much the same every day and the meal in the a la carte was very good. We were half board and you can change your dinner to lunch instead, we did this one day and I asked if we could do this on our last day and was told we could not, so technically we only had 6 evening meals as we arrived too late for dinner on our first night and although there was a small buffet available the bread was very stale and there was very few options to choose from and only very small items so this was disappointing when you had been travelling for 11 hours. We went on a trip to Spinalonga organised through TUI and the tour guide Irene was excellent and very knowledgeable and enjoyed the trip. We were picked up at 7.20am so could not have the normal breakfast but a continental breakfast was served in the Piano Bar, again this was very disappointing there was hardly any choice and again the bread was stale and not much fresh fruit available. I have stayed in Sensatori Hotels in the past and they are superior to this hotel the plus for the this hotel over Sensatori is that it is adults only.

The saviour of the holiday was the pool bar with the fantastic staff and service especially manos during the day and costas at night. It was definitely NOT a 5 star venue as advertised, the rooms were tired and the restaurant left a lot to be desired, however the service was excellent.

Apologies for our late review, but felt it necessary to highlight our wonderful experience at the hotel. This is our second trip and we are booked to go back in October because of our experience. Faultless is our description of the hotel, it is peaceful and calm and if you want to relax and recharge this is the place for you. The evenings you could hear a pin drop and if you want tranquility whilst watching the sun set then this is the place for you. The restaurant is a wonderful experience for dinner with choice you would not see at home, it caters for every need and every night there is a different theme for varying tastes.Breakfasts are just to die for and surely nobody could complain about the range of differing variety available? The rooms are spotless and ours was cleaned every day and we were supplied with clean towels, we never had any problems whatsoever. It was ample for our needs and perfect for a good nights rest with clean linen. One final thanks must go to Marina our Cleaner Thank you for everything!! We must mention the staff Nicos the maitre d,a real gent who keeps the tables running to the highest of standards and always happy if you are happy!! All the waiters and waitresses are just so kind and provide an exceptional service, and they never cease to smile. Try to visit the Culinarium and enjoy the gastronomic experience the 2 chefs create, one being the lovely Kostas, those guys know their stuff and it will undoubtedly be an experience you will remember - Thanks again Guys!! Also a big thank you to the waiters and staff there, great service!!!!! Thanks Reception Staff, you came up trumps at all times, and Eva and Little Eva Guest relations what a sharp team always on the ready to make the stay just that little bit special. We cannot fault anything or anyone. Manos you made our time by the pool! never felt so “looked after” cinnamon cappuccino’s and the best milkshakes, you’re a legend! Whole hotel is absolutely spotless, food was amazing and something for absolutely everyone. Every single member of staff are a credit to the hotel, we even got a lift back to our room on a couple of occasions which was a blessing in the heat! We will most definitely be back Oh and not forgetting, thank you for making our 39th wedding anniversary that extra special with the complementary drink and fruit bowl, very much appreciated xx

Great week here. Stayed half board. The restaurant food was fab, room was clean and airy. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Pool was large and clean . Pool bar staff friendly, Manos especially...TUI reps were helpful , welcoming and friendly. Some nice places to eat on the beachfront too. We loved it.

If you want a room full of ants, and a pool you can't stand up in, then this is the hotel for you. If you want cold food, undercooked food, and you want to pay for meals despite paying for all inclusive, then look no further, this is the one to book. Had to eat out on two separate occasions because of the poor food. Both the indoor and outdoor pools are too deep to stand in if you're 5ft 4 and below. The outdoor pool was so cold no one was going in it. We requested a different room due to the ants. We had booked a duplex room which was tiny and the wardrobe was down some very narrow and slippy stairs. The manager was quite rude and gave us two choices - downgrade and sign a document so you don't get any money back or upgrade and pay us £350. We were tired after a long journey and felt bullied into choosing to upgrade. The swim up rooms are not worth the money and we didn't even want one!

Could not fault this hotel. Staff were amazing, especially Manos, Theo and Costas at the pool bar, they were excellent. Becks- tui rep- she was lovely and the manager of the restaurant, my god that man works some hours but always smiling and happy to see you. Loved this hotel and cannot wait to go back!
