I have never written a review on a stay at the many hotels that I have stayed at, but I was compelled to write my first one. Our stay started out bad and got worse. We booked weeks ago for a family Christmas. When we arrived, we were given a Handicap Room. My wife and I are tall people and the room is setup for wheel chairs so everything is low. We asked to exchange rooms but the kid at the counter said he cant help (even though the hotel was only half full). The next day as we were out doing tourist things with the family, the front desk called and said we needed to move as they were going to start renovating the floor that we were on. (I wonder why they didn't move us the day before when we asked) So we had to excuse ourselves from the family outing and move into a newly renovated room. The front desk said this would be an upgrade at No Charge. Normally this would be a good thing but the room was not finished. No base boards, no bars in the closet to hang our clothes, no mirror in the main room, no hair dryer, luggage rack, no trash cans, etc. The worse part, when we came back in that evening, we noticed that here was no remote for the TV. Front desk told us we would have to wait till the next morning. The day and the night shift front clerk told us that they would talk to the manager to give us a discount for all the inconvenience that we experienced. On the final day when we settled up the bill, there was no discount and the front desk was not authorized to help.
