We stayed in a 2BR apartment, which was cosy, but adequate for our family of four. Having 2 bathrooms was great, and the A/C was lovely and cool. The kitchen only had 4 glasses, 2 coffee cups, some tea/coffee, a kettle and a fridge, so not setup for any sort of self-catering. Rooftop pool was well utilised by our family during the limited opening hours (closed during the middle of the day). Gym was well equipped but warm with no A/C or fans. We didn’t use the indoor pool, although it looked nice. Restaurant was fine for breakfast - mix between set menu and buffet, depending on the day. The staff were excellent. In the restaurant, Rosie was always helpful and happily shared ideas for planning our days. The hotel reception staff - in particular Ms. Nga and Ms. Thu, helped plan several activities, including booking massages, taxis, Ha Long Bay tour and airport transfer on arrival, and transfer to Hanoi on our behalf. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

This hotel was stunning, rooms, view, food and staff were 5 star. Trang was amazing and helped us with suggestions on where to go in the city and we were very pleased. They changed money for us multiple times with no hesitation. Helped us organise taxis, and were over all so helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely with a huge variety of food. Shower was probably one of the best we have had in vietnam ...hot water great pressure amd spotless.

It was annoying to find a restaurant, so I ate at the hotel, and I'm satisfied with it ^^*

The bedding and facilities are clean, and the breakfast is delicious.
The Halong Bay Cruise Pier is also close by walking about 800 meters, so I checked out early, left my luggage at the hotel, and took a 4-hour cruise.

It was my first time to travel to Halong Bay and I accidentally chose this hotel to stay. I was pleasantly surprised. The location of the hotel is very good. The entrance to the cable car park is right at the door. On the other side is a row of shops and various restaurants. It is not very far from the night market. Far away, the layout and decoration of the hotel are stylish. The rooms are large and the beds are soft and hard, so you can sleep very comfortably. The hotel includes a wide range of breakfast options. I met the lobby manager Thu who was on duty that day. He was very enthusiastic and hospitable. He has a strong sense of service and is proactive and enthusiastic. When we encountered trouble, she helped us solve all the problems one by one without hesitation. I am really grateful to her. It was really a very good experience. I will book this hotel again next time I have the opportunity to come to Halong Bay. I hope that time I also met Thu by chance. Thank you. We will see you soon.

We stayed here towards the end of our trip. It was a great place to switch off and relax on the balcony, read a book, go to the gym, go for a swim in the pool etc. There are lots of kids around given it's a family friendly place. The buffet breakfast was really yummy with lots of different options (I'm gluten intolerant and there was still plenty to choose from). We paid for the buffet dinner one night which was nice however, I was expecting there to be some drinks other than water and tea/coffee on offer, you could buy drinks through the bar for an additional cost. Grounds are kept really well and the boat to and from the mainland was cool too.

I had a very memorable and satisfied staying at The Yacht Ha Long. Impressive design, many photo areas at the hotel are beautifully decorated. I have stayed in many hotels in Ha Long but this is my favorite hotel. Breakfast at the restaurant on the M floor is very rich and varied. Pho and coffee are delicious. The afternoon tea set is carefully prepared, the cakes are decorated very nicely and trendy. Professional, enthusiastic, attentive staff to support guests. My family has a small friend who goes with the staff is very caring. My family is very satisfied and will definitely come back next vacation.

It was my first time in Halong Bay, so I booked Oak because I wanted to be closer to the beach. The environment was very good, very quiet at night, and the breakfast was very rich, but it was not suitable for small families. It was a bit late when I checked in, and I was a bit scared at night 😱

In contrary to a lot of the 1-2 star comments, the hotel was build in 2023 but it does feel a bit old and amenities it feels more like a 3 star rather than 5, BUT considering the price, our stay was quite pleasant, the room was clean with great view, I especially applaud the service staff at the front desk, they speaks both basic Chinese and English which made the communication much easier, gave us recommendations for food near by and if you wish to book cruise , they have their own contact as well, but my advice will be still doing your own research and go with your own preferred choice.
The check out time is 11am instead of 12 stated on trips, but we had to check out a bit late at 11.30qm, the front desk did not made any fuss about that, everything was good and smooth.
For the price you are paying, the room and service is up to the price point’s expectation personally.

I came Ha Long for 3 night and stay in DeLaSea hotel. I think that was good choice. Receptionist was nice and professional, they gave us some good tip for visit in Ha Long. Breakfast was really good with varieaty food. They have swimming pool in-house also with nice view. I had the best memories in Ha Long. Make sure will come back

The hotel is brand new and very clean. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The area is still under construction. This (at the moment) results in a less beautiful view/environment. But I am convinced that it will be beautiful within a year. The hotel location is quite far from the city center and shopping malls. A car or taxi is needed. Or you can get bicycles at the hotel. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Special note to Tracy, she has served us several times with very personalized service. Couldn't be better! The 3 restaurants in the hotel are highly recommended. We stayed 6 days in an apartment in this hotel.

Room was just amazing, the view, the space, the decoration, absolutely worth it, we went in Feb so weather was foggy but the views were still breathtaking, food was delicious and drinks too.. And the staff.... Tom made the experience amazing, it was truly remarkable and we would recommend it to anyone who goes to halong Bay. This is not ur party boat if that's what u are after, if u go with a group of friends then its fine but for a couple looking for party. Its not the case. Its a chilled luxurious vibe. They even got my girlfriend a birthday present.. And when we got back to our hotel in Hanoi they called us to the lobby to get a souvenir from the stellar company, a beautiful set of plates to thank us for our photos we posted on social media (we did it cause it was so amazing) A+++ experience

The staff on the cruise were equally impressive. They were not only attentive and friendly but also went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our journey was memorable. Their exceptional service truly enhanced our cruising experience.
Overall, this cruise is highly recommended for its outstanding dining options and superb staff. It's an experience not to be missed!

GGuest UserWe had an amazing time on the Dora cruise. The boat is beautiful and the rooms are spacious. Shower and balcony were both large for a boat. From the moment you are picked up to the moment you are dropped back, the staff make the trip effortless. We cannot thank Tom enough for his great hospitality and for taking us to Capa island on our second day. 3 days and 2 nights is much better than the 1 night option as you get a boat trip and island bike ride on the second day which is phenomenal and a highlight of the trip. The staff go above and beyond and have exceptional customer service skills. Thank you to Dora cruise for making our visit to Halong Bay an unforgettable experience.

GGuest UserThe location in that city I think is very good regarding sea view, some restaurants outside and you are very close to the ships leaving (it depends what you want... if you like City-like stay, you have to choose ankther locations but I think anyway the places are not so far away and easy to get everywhere (ok maybe in main season not so easy)
The hotel gave me immediately an upgrade, teh room was extremely big, clean ,the view very good. All you need, and breakfast was also okay. The only thing: there's an open disco 1 km away, very very loud still.. so I went to that place to check (in anger) but I found out: actually a nice place to visit, sitting outside at the beach hahaha so not that bad.
Tip: regarding the ships, they all folow the same route and stop at same places, but have very very differing prices ..

We were stunned when first opening our rooms curtains to see the Bay and its beauty right in front of us. The curved viewing windows in the room are amazing, allowing us the view 180⁰. What an amazing view to wake up to each morning...we'll never forget.
The staff very professional, all spoke fluent english, and treated us like royalty. Thank you to all.
Breakfasts were superb with a buffet offering many cuisine choices and the restaurant also offering a wide choice of dishes of amazing freshness and flavour.
I highly recommend the Paddington for anyone looking for the best value for money when visiting Ha Long.

SShirley Chong Choon LangMy family enjoyed ourselves very much on Rita Cruise which we were switched from Alisa cruise on Ha Long Bay due to unforeseen circumstances. We were promptly informed by Mr Tony Pham, C.O.O. of the company. Transportation from hotel till check-in was smooth. Mr Alex and Mr Happy on Rita cruise made sure all guests were taken care of during the cruise. Food was plenty and well prepared. Activities were reasonable and varied. Kayaking and caves viewing in a boat were enjoyed by all. I had an experience in cooking class on board. My hubby and daughter had fun in squid fishing. The presidential suite we stayed in was amazing. I enjoyed the jacuzzi,massage chair and having fun at the mini golf on the balcony. It was a memorable and unforgettable trip for us. Thank you to Mr Tony for the souvenirs and for constantly checking to make sure we are fine. The gesture is very much appreciated. Check out these cruises if ever in Hanoi.

GGuest UserI've been travelling Asia for almost a year and this is by far my favourite place. The staff are lovely, the swimming pool incredible with great views and is overall the perfect place for a healthy lifestyle. The value for money is next to none, includes a really great breakfast buffet (eggs, baguettes, sausage, water melon, beef stew, pancakes, sticky rice, salad tea, coffee etc) all are cooked well and very taste.
Location is just a 5 minute walk from Sunworld theme Park. Can rent a bike directly from hotel.
I'm returning in Jan for 6 weeks

GGuest UserNovotel Ha long Bay We are now at the end of our first week in the beautiful country of Vietnam travelling from Hanoi to SaPa and today Ha Long Bay. Knowing this is not a travel forum I do have to comment on the beauty of Vietnam and even more strikingly, the generosity of the people with whom we have come across in our very brief time here. The staff at the Novotel in Ha Long Bay are no exception! We were greeted with a warm welcome. We arrived very early at 9:00 am following an overnight train trip from SaPa to Hanoi followed by a two hour mini coach ride to Halong Bay, not expecting anything other than the option of leaving our bags whilst we waited for check in later in the day. Once again we were greeted with unfailing courtesy at the door by Ngọc, who took our bags and directed us to the front desk where Huang and Hoang offered to find us a room as soon as possible. Twenty minutes later we were invited to go to our upgraded suite so we might rest rather than wait for another room later in the day. Hoang then escorted us to our room, followed by Ngọc with our luggage. Our room is magnificent and the view over Ha Long Bay breathtaking as you can see from the photos. The facilities in our room were excellent, the bed comfortable and the bathroom just perfect. We even have a fabulous sitting area to relax and enjoy the view over Ha Long Bay Thanks also to Hiem, the Housekeeping Manager, who assisted us when we were first using our key cards at our door and asked if there was any more he might do to assist us. The lounge area in this bright and sunny reception area is cosy and we were nicely looked after by the barman, Bach. Breakfast was a la carte on the morning we were here but can also be a buffet in other days. Trang was gracious and kind as she assisted us in our breakfast choices. It was 10:00 am and we were checked in and hoped we might have a coffee before venturing out for the day. The breakfast dining room was shutting but Trang who was waiting at the entrance welcomed us in and helped us with coffee and food even though the restaurant was shutting for the morning. Such a kind gesture and much appreciated after a long night and morning to get to this beautiful part of the world and this already amazing start to our stay at the Novotel. Once again this is another beautiful hotel in Vietnam, managed and staffed by a wonderful, caring team. Thank you to P.Anh at reception who was so helpful with our queries and for arranging transport for us in our departure. Hospitality world wide could take a leaf out of the Vietnamese understanding of generosity and the care of their visitors. We for one will be returning to this beautiful part of the world
